I have an original Milo Baughman recliner that was wearing out. I also had to resort to a screwdriver, sometimes, to get it to recline. That's pretty embarrassing. Obviously, my chair was overdue for an intervention. I don't know how I found Dynasty Upholstery. I knew almost nothing about the place or the quality of the work. When I brought my recliner to Cesar, we went through a bunch of fabric and leather samples. I never thought picking one would be so difficult but, after about 20 minutes, I chose a brown football leather. Did I make the right decision? As I walked out, I honestly didn't know. Cesar was about to move his tiny store -- I have no idea how he and his little team got any work got done there -- into a larger space just down the block so it took longer than he expected to finish my recliner. No worries. I was in no hurry. Well, after about a month, yesterday was the day. My recliner was sitting proudly in his storefront window and, before I even set foot into his new store, I was relieved to see that I made the right choice. It looked fantastic. Once I got a close look, I was impressed with the craftsmanship. This chair looks brand new and, after sitting in it, it feels showroom fresh. Cesar and his team do such good work that I'm tempted to never buy new furniture anymore. Instead, I think I'd rather buy old furniture and have Dynasty Upholstery work their magic. I spent months sending texts, making phone calls, following up repeatedly, rearranging my schedule, driving to meet them multiple times, and waiting for updates that often never came. Steve and Paula are polite and pleasant to talk to, but unfortunately they are not reliable when it comes to communication, follow-through, or keeping their commitments. Replies were frequently delayed or nonexistent, timelines kept changing, and there always seemed to be another logistical or delivery issue. After repeatedly requesting the missing sofa cushions to be delivered, I eventually gave up. No customer should have to chase a company for months just to receive a complete order. I truly wanted to support this business because they seemed like good people. Unfortunately, professionalism, communication, reliability, and honoring commitments are just as important as craftsmanship. My experience was stressful, frustrating, and disappointing from beginning to end. If you are considering having furniture upholstered or custom-made, be prepared for significant delays, poor communication, and the possibility of receiving an incomplete order. We Highly recommend Quality Custom Upholstery of Lawndale. They have been in business a very long…read moretime. We took our cushions to them and asked them to replace the foam with a stronger filling. Mr. Sanches told us how he would do the work and told us he would order the materials. In about a week he would form the materials to custom fit the shape needed. He called in less then a week. We picked the cushions up and after inspection them, he helped us put them in our SUV and guided us out onto the street. We are very satisfied with his work.
