I have several doughnut shops around where I live, doughnut shop is a little bit of a distance for me but I am willing to drive just to get great doughnuts. They have a Great selection, they taste great. It is unfortunate that on the day I arrived to get donuts they had a break in their front door of the donut shop was destroyed. It's Your average donut. The reason for the 3 stars is every time I come to get donuts there are always flies inside their glass doors. They need to fix this. One time I came and the fly was already dead on a donut! Why? Why????? I've pointed this out several times and the people who work there think it's ok. No, really, they say, "is ok, is fine." This is the only local donut shop near me and it's still pretty far away around 7 miles. I try to get donuts from my local stater bros but they aren't as spongy and moist as a true donut. So when in doubt, I will order a ham and cheese croissant. Those are up on the very top and never a fly.... That I've seen! read more

Very disappointed with this donut shop. The past 2 visits we saw flies in the glass cases, they were on the donuts. When I informed the girl she just looked at me like I was crazy for bringing it to her attention. I told her I no longer want donuts and I will not return. She looked like she could care less and just put the donuts back into the glass case. Very disgusting. read more

First time here and will definitely come back! Both the breakfast croissants my wife and I tried were delicious, and they had an excellent donut and pastry selection. Donuts were fresh and my Fritter was perfect! The girl working the counter was very friendly and helpful with our selections. It is rare nowadays to get this level of service. It's great that they have a fridge with prepackaged drink options. I highly recommend this place if you're in the neighborhood. Definitely worth the drive even if you're not! read more

Being the first time coming it was very neat organized and amazing. Something about fresh baked donuts that's always appealing! Local spots like these are rare and even harder to come by when they are actually good. The donuts were fairly priced, but when we got into the donuts they tasted off. I woke up around 11:30 puking the donuts up. Everyone else that had donuts felt sick from eating them. I went here for the first time last week and I couldn't be Happier with the Taste and Quality of these Donuts!! I love whenever I find a REALLY good donut shop! Even better they have cappuccinos in different flavors you can enjoy (I sure did) and they also have a Croissant breakfast sandwich that seemed very popular with the locals. Came here due to a craving for donuts (church did not serve any today) and finally remembered to use the coupon in the monthly Mo Val magazine-I figured $5.99 was not too much to pay for donuts I may or may not like. My experience with the male owner was similar to the recent reviews regarding how he seemed perturbed and cold. I showed him my coupon first before I ordered so I am unsure if it was just how he usually is or if it was because of the coupon. I always attribute it to cultural differences to socially-accepted norm so I notice it, but as long as the product meets expectations, I can choose to overlook it. After all, this is a donut shop so the interaction lasts less than 5 minutes. If this was an American restaurant, of course my opinion would be different. That being said, the donuts are pretty good-fresh, light, airy, with just the right amount of crisp around the edges on the old-fashioned donuts. The perfect amount of sweetness for me. I was being rushed a little bit so I completely forgot they had white chocolate donuts. They ran out of my favorite maple bars. My favorite out of the ones I tried in the dozen has to be the bavarian cream. He charged me 75 cents extra for the apple fritters-kind of small than what I am used to but hopefully the bf likes them. I wanted to order a smoothie for my son but was told that they were made out of syrup, not fresh fruit-no big deal for a donut shop, but I am just not a fan from experience. I shall return to try their white chocolate donuts, maple bars, and jalapeno ham and cheese croissants. This area really needed a donut shop. When Better Be opened up I was happy to finally have one near my house and even more happy to find that staff are suuuuuuper nice. All the donuts and croissants taste fresh. I was disappointed to find out that they no longer serve croissant sandwiches (due to their lease... and the competition from Subway) but I'll still come here for their jalapeno, ham, and cheese croissants. Everyone I've encountered are cheerful and make good small talk. My mom came here once to buy a dozen donuts for her doctor (around Christmas time). She also ordered a donut for herself which they happily gave to her for free. Anytime I want something sweet and a smile, I'll come here. read more
