I have used many cleaning services within the last 17 years and I am please to say that Better Choice Cleaning Services is far better than any. In my line of field, cleaning residential properties is a high priority. I personally take cleaning and customer service very seriously. First to start with is Cathy, who does all of the booking, organizing appointments and first impressions for the company. She has excellent customer service and has went out of her way repeatedly to make sure I was taken care of. The cleaners will show up on time and will send you a tracker via text letting you know when they arrive and when they are leaving. They are very detailed with cleaning from top to bottom. They also clean quickly as possible without sacrificing the quality of cleaning. I personally had a difficult (high maintenance) client that was ready to nitpick the cleaning on one of my properties. They have been in the property for almost 4 months and after moving in, they have been very pleased with Better Choice Cleaning Services WITH NO COMPLAINTS!! The two women who came to clean my home were nice but they did a very mediocre job! Definitely not worth the $230 price. In the bathrooms, countertops weren't cleaned well, I found soap marks left that I easily removed after going behind them. I could tell they just ran a cloth over it and kept moving. The baseboards looked untouched all throughout the house. Again, cloth ran across it but wasn't actually cleaned. I was also expecting things to be put away / trash thrown away. For example, the office had an empty coffee cup and juice bottle from working very late the night before. They were still sitting on the desk after the room was cleaned. Same for other items around the house. The tile floors were vacuumed, so there were small things left, and I had to sweep after. It also seemed like the last 30-45mins was a lot of standing and looking for things to "touch". I got the feeling they were trying to hit the 4-hour estimate. read more

I have been thinking back and forth if I want to write this review. My husband and I bought a house and needed it deep cleaned. I searched hard and low for a place and when I chatted with Kathy she was so sweet and truly reassured me this was the best company! She told me I had one of the best for the job. When my two lovely ladies arrived I showed them three things I was very concerned with - the bathroom sink, the master shower and the kitchen counter. I mentioned my biggest thing is being sure the kitchen is clean. These ladies were sweating and doing great with the windows and vacuuming. I brought them water and would check on them but I also was in and out of the house and had painters in the house. About 6 hours in I checked on them in the kitchen and I still saw the sticky ring marks in the kitchen on the counter - I pointed it out and she said it's stained. I then noticed the face of the dishwasher still had sticky streaks she said the same thing. So I said nothing else. When they were done I paid $600 and gave a 20% tip. Two days later when we moved in my mother in law talked about some things that were dirty. She took a magic eraser and got the drink rings out. She cleaned the bar board with vinegar and water. She used the same on the dishwasher. We cleaned out the fridge and we had to clean the floors by the fire place. A few other things as well. When I contacted the company they offered me that they would come again and I would get 15% off. I personally don't feel that is the right answer. Why would I pay AGAIN when I already paid for a job that was not done. The company as you can see here did reach out- and I understand magic erasers are expensive. What I am explaining is my counter tops were not cleaned at all. They didn't even look wiped and had finger prints all over. But the glass cleaning was perfect! Very happy with that. Happy with the dusting. Just not worth the time and price when I could have done it myself. I also asked on the phone if I need to provide cleaning supplies. Yet, i still find dust on them throughout the home, especially in my guest bathroom. I get it, its a big house, but they were there for 9 hrs and it seems like they pretty much just pickup things and wipe down surfaces only. As I'm super focused on packing (and not wanting to clean this place myself) I opted to contact Better Choice Cleaning. I was contacted very quickly after submitting a quote request and nailed down a date. Unfortunately my closing had a delay and I was able to reschedule to the next day without issue. Today the two young ladies arrived (Daniela was the leader) and did a fantastic job. There was a slight language barrier, but it's 2021 and we have apps for that! *This guy is being dishonest. I had two of the women at my house who ended up staying from 9AM to 7 PM. The first three hours at my house they didn't get anything done (NEVER pay cleaning services by the hour), I had to call the main service line to get them to actually start. They didn't even clean my son's bathtub, and We only had them clean 2 bedrooms and kitchen/den and media room. And they were at our house for 10 hours. Don't waste your money, find a service that isn't by the hour. * I can't directly respond to the owner- They did NOT clean 4,000 sq ft in 10 hours, not even close. If they had actually cleaned every room of our house, this would be reasonable. But they didn't. This is why I included that I didn't have them clean MOST of the rooms. They cleaned 2 bedrooms and ultimately ONE bathroom. The one bedroom downstairs, they didn't mop (I checked once they finally left with a paper towel), and they spent 3 hours doing NOTHING. I was checking on them, and I could sweep what they did in about 15 minutes. And the "clutter" were my children's toys in the den. Their service is subpar at best. 10 hours and over 500 dollars for 2 bedrooms, not even master bedroom, ONE bathroom cleaned; and a den, kitchen, and media room is absurd. They essentially cleaned maybe 2,000 square feet of my house, maximum. And that was what they were supposed to clean, most of it didn't even get cleaned...?! Great service! My only complaint? I've used them twice now; for a move-in and move-out. I've noticed that the cleaners pretend to not understand English when it's convenient for them. For example, last cleaner was able to ask me if I had trash bags and was able to communicate if there were any issues, for example. But when I requested that they throw away trash outside in bins, they suddenly had no idea what I was saying. Clearly they didn't feel like taking my trash to the compactor, which was literally, a ten second walk. Not only am I paying for this service, but her husband had filled bags up with a lot, as I just told them to trash everything. So bags were heavy and he looks to be a strong man. So I had to reach out to the company themselves, for them to let their employee know. After service was completed, since I was going to donate brand new wall art anyways, I asked the cleaner if she would like it, free of charge. Once again, she was able to understand me clearly, with no issue, smiled and thanked me. Which is funny because ten minutes earlier, she had no idea of what I was saying in regards to trash removal. Crazy right? But regardless of those minor issues I would use this service again and would recommend to others. They remembered me, both of my kids and were so kind and enjoyable to be around. Tried to book through the Yelp app. Everything was set up. I got the email confirmation (attached). But then I couldn't get anyone on the phone. So I emailed. Couldn't get a response back because the email account wasn't real. Very frustrating since I was trying to figure out if I would have cleaners at my house. After 5 or 6 calls and a failed email, I assumed the whole thing was a scam. I guess I was right because no one showed up at the appointment window. My advice to this business is to ensure your number, email address and Yelp bookings are legitimate. We live in a 3 story town home in Houston. My mother lives in a 4000 sq ft home in Manvel/Pearland. Words can't even describe how amazing Theresa is. She is reliable, trustworthy, and truly outstanding. I absolutely love Theresa. Her service is impeccable. She knows how to clean and I've recommended her to my husband's friends who lives in a town home in Houston as well. They even agreed she was amazing. The only time we haven't used Theresa is when she got pregnant and had to leave on maternity leave. We missed her because she knows exactly what we wanted. Hired these people to clean my home before I moved in. It was empty. Easy job. Paid extra to clean the windows. They broke one of my new blinds and when I called to ask they fix it she had attitude and said she needed to have disclaimer on services. Basically saying "So what if we break your stuff" after some conversation she said a guy was coming to fix it. They never showed up.
