TLDR: Overall results are good. Ghosted on an issue tried to have resolved - repeatedly. The counters are beautiful. They had a nice selection, were reasonably priced and did a great job cutting. They were pleasant to work with too. However, we did have a more significant issue and I'm not a fan of how it was handled (or rather lack there of). During installation, I was told the seam on the counter would line up with the same matching backsplash lip. I came back into the room and it was already done but not lined up (2.5" apart) - no attempt to tell me even though I was home. I spoke with the owner Eric after who assured me that it could be corrected. I offered to pay. He implied that was not needed and he would text or call me back to schedule. He didn't. This happened several times. Now my backsplash tile is about to go in. Perhaps this would be a non-issue for most. For us, we are installing large format tile, and so in this case there will be three different seams within a 6" space - not aesthetically pleasing in our opinion. Each time I reached out to owner over a few weeks, he assured me no problem they would take care of and schedule. I was ghosted each time. Couple of other smaller issues we noticed that we can live with that aren't earth shattering: backsplash different height in separate area, they added a metal piece above dishwasher and now it makes a metal scraping sound when it closes, underside of island counter has netting. If you want a reasonable deal and quality, they are a decent option. If details like this matter to you, look elsewhere. I personally will look elsewhere for any future work. ETA: just realized the island was not cut straight. The edges have wobbles when running hand along. read more

I'm giving 2 stars because while the quartz installation was done well and the product looks great, the lack of follow-up afterward was disappointing. I reached out to Eric regarding this one specific piece that was uneven (photo for reference). They had cut a little too short the top part compare to the bottom portion of the slab so now how my oven sits it's uneven. The second pic is the jagged edges. Its baffling for me to have paid 5,700 for this installment and part of the slab wasn't cut properly and the other part is not a smooth finished. When I spoke with Eric about my concerns, he told me he would sent someone to fix this- THAT never happened, I followed up and just never got a response back. I expected some form of communication to ensure everything was satisfactory or to address any potential concerns, but that didn't happen. Good service doesn't just end with the installation--it's about the entire experience. I hope the company improves its post-installation customer care. With so many other companies to choose from I would recommend you go with a different company. read more

These folks are stellar. They have not only a great selection of stones (granite, quartz, and more) but their craftmanship and customer service is impeccable. Our new quartz is beautiful and looks amazing. They did a waterfall cut on the main counter and on the backsplash to make it look uniform. When we called for the measure to the time the install completed was literally two days. We delayed them on the install by a day to have some wall covering complete so it would have been faster if not for our required delay. We recently had Better Granite change out our kitchen's granite countertop for a new quartz version. We also had them take down a tall kitchen counter piece above our sink. Bringing that down to sink level really expanded the room, and brought in much more light. It was going to drastically change our kitchen, so we hoped that Better Granite was as good as its word in terms of their professionalism. They were! In order to make the changes, some of the tile had to be cut and at the end of where the counter had been, a gash of drywall resulted. Faustina Gomez did a fantastic job of retiling that area, and repairing the issue. The match, the grouting, even refreshing the paint around the area was done meticulously with a wonderful result. Further, during every step along the way, from choosing the quartz pattern, to the technician who did the measuring, to those who created the rubric for the countertops, as well as the installers--these young men were professionals, courteous, quick, and efficient. First off I am the biggest pain in the arse when it come to making up my mind. We had picked out a counter top, gotten a sample to bring home and before we even pulled in I had all the reasons I under the sun as to why it wasn't right. My husband went back, spent hours looking at granite and the I kept saying it was too gray. Finally Eric found the perfect piece. It has so little gray, you have to stand over and stare to find any gray. So Kudos Eric!!! The gentlemen that installed it were very professional, cleaned up as the went. Took less than 2 hours. He asked my husband if he was happy, he said yea, but told him I was the important one. He asked and I said...I have been living in remolding hell for 8 weeks and you made me happy to dAy!!! We are extremely pleased with our new quartz countertops. First, the price was $1700 cheaper than two other quotes we received, however our positive experience doesn't stop there. When it was time to have the template done, I was able to schedule the appointment for 2 days later (on a Friday). The countertops were ready for installation the following Monday. To top it off, the installation was superb. If you look closely at the pictures you will notice that all the veins line up all around with the backsplash on the butler's pantry as well as the wine bar. I truly appreciate tradesmen who take pride in their work and take the time to pay attention to the details. Not only did they send two great guys (David & Victor) within just a few days, but they did an outstanding job, cleaned up every bit of mess, and even went above and beyond to make sure the fit was perfect! Like many of you I wanted the beautiful white Carrara marble counter tops in my kitchen. I went to see my favorite Granite guy "Eric" at Better Granite Garcia in Manassas Virginia. He told my Marble is not a good idea for the kitchen he has a better option that also looks amazing. He recommended white quartz. Wow this is beautiful. He kindly gave me a sample piece to take home and look at in my kitchen. I loved it. I called Eric and set up a time for David to come out a measure 2 days later. Eric gave me a quote that same day. My countertops got installed 3 days later. The installers arrived on time covered my floors removed my sink, cooktop and drawers from the kitchen. They removed the old granite without damaging the cabinets. I have a backsplash I wanted to keep and they even removed the old granite without damaging it. Amazing. The new quartz countertops went in with a beautiful waterfall edge. The seams are invisible. My kitchen looks incredible. I don't write reviews very often but I had such a good experience with this company and I have to give them credit. I did a lot of research and got 1/2 a dozen estimates on my kitchen remodel, most of which were outrageously expensive! Then I found Eric (the owner of Better Granite Garcia). He was absolutely amazing and so wonderful to work with. He answered my call immediately and came the same day to give me an estimate on new kitchen countertops as well as bathroom vanity tops. I have never remodeled a kitchen before and was a little nervous about blowing my budget. Eric walked through it with me every step of the way. From designing the island to fit my kitchen perfectly, choosing the color and stone that not only fit my taste but my budget as well. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive products and tried to help me save without cutting corners. I must have called him 50 times with 100 different questions and he never seemed to get annoyed with me and was always prompt to return my calls and texts. His staff did an incredible job. They were on time, worked hard all day and totally transformed my kitchen and bathrooms and made them look stunning! They payed very close attention to every detail. I would have never known one of my counter tops was in two pieces because they cut it and put it back together so well it literally looked seamless. They also cleaned up so well when they left there wasn't a speck of dust on my floors! Every one of his employees went above and beyond what they were paid to do and it really showed. Extremely disappointed in this company I had hoped to develop a long-term professional relationship with. My company built an outdoor kitchen and recommended this company to our client. Our client went with our recommendation. They installed the granite but did not grout it and insisted the landscape contractor was to grout. Makes no sense. Why would a landscape contractor come in behind a granite counter top company and grout?? It's been months of back and forth and now I am paying a professional to go out and grout because this company will not finish the job. Terrible business and customer service. My husband and I dealt with Eric (bldg 3) as we were trying to upgrade our countertops. Eric at first was very nice and had great customer service and a price that clearly blew away any competitors. However, upon going to the office to sign the contract for the work to begin we were quickly told credit cards werent accepted just yet as Eric hadnt received the machine to process them. We asked Eric when the machine would be in and if we could wait for the work to begin then. Eric proceeded to tell us that it would be a 4% charge and that all of the initial qoutes would have to be changed. We said okay but Eric still didn't want to move forward so we went to the front shop of bldg 1 to talk to Mark. Once there, my husband was told by other vendor from the same company that credit cards were accepted, so they called Eric up to the front. Eric again started going over numbers but all of a sudden there was taxes involved amongst other costs that should have already been on the initial qoute. Overall dealing with this company was super shady and appears that the work done and costs given are under the table which is not how my husband and I do business. I had granite counter tops installed by Jose from Better Granite Garcia. The price was great and he was very nice and professional. Jose even helped me with some of the plumbing work for free, which I appreciate since he stepped out of his own contract to help a customer who is a novice when it comes to plumbing. It helped me a lot because I was able to see how the garbage disposal and such came apart, which aided me in the installation. The counters were done almost two weeks ago and he still has not completed the job. The counters look great but that is not my issue. My issues start with the fact that he is does not hold true to the commitments he sets. I made a deal with him to add an edge to the kitchen backsplash and to finish the whole job by drilling holes to secure the dishwasher and cooktop, as well as fix some cabinet fitment issues. There have been numerous times where he set a day and time to give me samples and complete some work but he always ends up telling me that he cannot come and has to re-schedule. Following up with him after the counters were installed has been a hassle, which he communicated just fine before I had any work done. To be fair, I understand that him and his company is very busy this time of year when everyone decides to get home renovations done but he can at-least communicate with me better and try to make the appointments that he sets. It pains me to give only three stars because he was professional and gave me a great deal on the counters but I have no choice seeing as how I am still struggling to get him to come back and complete the job. read more

If I could, I would put 0 stars to Better Granite Place. I went to pick some marble for my kitchen. Eric was recommended to me by my contractor. Eric first arrived and told me that he was having lunch and couldn't take care of me although I had made an appointment with him. I waited for someone else who then showed me 1 slab of marble. When I said that I wanted to see others, it was like pulling teeth. I had to insist a lot and then when Eric came back from his lunch break, he agreed to show me another slab. There were several other slabs visible in the shop but he wasn't willing to show them to me. When I then asked for the process to pick which portion of the slab I would be having, he told me that he have to pattern first and see my kitchen. When I told him that I don't understand why he told me to come all the way down to Manassas to pick a slab only to ask me for a retainer and not allowing me to choose the piece that will go into my kitchen, he told me that I was wasting his time. Stones are expensive and there are plenty of other granite and marble places which I visited and provided with a really good customer service (and at that time, I was only shopping around). Better Granite Place was almost guaranteed my custom and treated me rudely. I recommend you all not to waste your time and a 100$ Uber ride to that place only to be treated disrespectfully and being unable to choose your slab properly. read more
