This project was much larger and included gutting our original (1969) master bathroom, moving fixtures and walls, and creating a walk-in closet from the bedroom next to the bathroom. After receiving proposals from 4 different companies, we chose to go with Image. They were not the lowest nor highest price, but we were comfortable with them and knew that the work would be done right. It was. Solomon and the Project Manager, Mr. Fikri, were amazing. Every step of the way they made sure everything was going right, according to the plan. Any questions that came up and decisions that needed to be made they were thorough, fair, reasonable and always had great ideas. The communication was great. We knew exactly when Mr. Fikri and his team would arrive to work and they did. The master bathroom is now a beautiful focal point of our home with a state of the art glass enclosed shower, a water closet, heated floors in the bathroom, and a magazine quality walk in closet. Two months later my wife and I still feel like we live in a hotel. We already have our next project planned (a kitchen renovation) and we will not hesitate to hire Image once again to perform the work. We highly recommend them.

I hired this company to redo a shower stall. Because they were already going to be doing concrete…read morework in the shower stall, I pointed out two, small, hand-sized areas of concrete that needed patching on my balcony. The owner Chris, said he would not charge me because it was negligible. I was happy that they were a good faith company who wouldn't nickel and dime me. Boy, I turned out to be wrong on that! Their work in the shower was just alright. It required a second pass to fix some lines that were not quite straight and they offered to fix it. The shower was substantially less work than initially scoped. The estimate was for a much larger job than needed to be done to fix the shower. I expected to get a discount on the initial estimate. Chris discounted me $200. I agree to pay him the full estimate minus $200 for services not rendered in the initial estimate. After the job is complete, Chris suddenly springs me with an additional charge of $100. He wants to charge me for the balcony patches, which were two child's hand-sized areas. This was quite irritating because not only did they not have to do as much of a job on the shower as they initially thought, but he was going to flip-flop on his initial word that he wouldn't charge me for patching the balcony concrete. He began harassing me via e-mail, using adjectives like "ridiculous" and questioning my character. This was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. Within a couple of emails he began threatening to take out a lien on my property. That sounded odd to me, like he was bullying and on an anger trip rather than negotiating like a regular contractor. A lien on my property for a dispute over $100? Sounded unreasonable. I would have gladly paid the $100 if he had been honest with the charge up-front, or if he had sent me a change order in writing saying that the balcony patching would take more effort and he wanted to charge for the balcony. It was neither. The patches were tiny and he did much less work in the shower than he initially expected to have to do. It seemed like he was extorting me for additional money after the work was complete because he felt he could get away with threatening me, or because he didn't really like the fact that he had to do a second pass on the shower floor to get it right. I began talking to my condo building manager about this contractor. I learned that he fired one of his workers who was known for doing outstanding work on bathrooms, then threatened him physically if he ever worked on remodeling any of our building units. In short, this guy is trouble. Like the other reviewer also noted, he changes price quotes in the middle of a job or after the job is done, and gets nasty and short-tempered. There are a ton of contractors out there, save yourself a headache.

The initial consultation process was especially helpful because they work with a great design team where you can really see how the materials will look together. The duo of Renata and Andre both have great ideas from both a function and design perspective but still try to accommodate the budget. They provide visuals before committing to the project and they were flexible enough to change the layout to our liking several times - we could be pretty honest about what we wanted or not. The outcome was pretty exact to the final renderings. We were given regular updates on the progress, any unexpected issues, and how they were being addressed. Traylor was always upfront about timelines and costs, which helped avoid any unpleasant surprises later on. They document every detail in an organized way so it is never unclear. It was a big project for us so, yes of course, we had add-ons and spent more than expected but that was not their pushing but more our choices. Of note, the project was definitely completed on time but we also had a VERY flexible timeline. Still I got the impression they always push forward to stay on track. The craftsmanship was exactly what we had hoped for and we have already gotten compliments on the transformation of our home. Post-renovation, the customer service has remained excellent. When I had a minor issue with a cabinet handle and drawer, they sent their main point person and construction team again to fix it at no additional cost. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident, even after the job is done. I do recommend this team to anyone considering a bigger home renovation of the main attraction areas of their home.
