I love Better Life Massage! It seems like forever since the last time I had a massage, over 10 years ago. I'm pretty busted up and I've been wondering if massage might help me out. I tried out BLM first since they're the closest to my home. (Of course, I checked out Yelp reviews and the web page first.) Wow, they blew me away! I'm definitely fortunate to find such a great place so close to my house. There are many therapy options at Better Life but I've been choosing hour long deep tissue massages. I've experienced this style before. But Angel does a particularly fantastic job. She kicks my ass...in a great way. And she does it with an awesome, interesting, highly effective, Asian, Mandarin style twist! (I should have taken the hint when I saw the giant Asian medical charts hanging in the lobby!) Mandarin Style (my term) includes locating and working out all hard clumps of stiff muscle, interesting stretches, hot oil, and hot stones! I am so relaxed when I leave, I wobble down the hallway like a drunk person. The first time, they asked if I was okay and if I needed help. No kidding. I also have to drink water. And I usually have to sit in my car for several minutes to make sure I'm okay to drive home. Best of all, I had amazing results the VERY NEXT DAY. For the first time in years, I can now stand on one leg and lift the opposite foot more than 12 inches above the ground. In fact, now I can lift my knees all the way above parallel. Amazing. My cousin visited from out-of-town and I treated him to an hour long massage at Better Life. He never had a massage before in his life. But I knew he was in need. He owns an HVAC company and he has spent his whole life going up and down ladders and on his feet all day...for over 30 years. I would say, without exaggerating, the massage was a life changing experience for him. I'm not kidding. He actually canceled his chiropractic appointment and he found a massage therapist in Williston, ND (the oil fields). A few other final notes... The staff are fantastically skilled and impeccably polite. There's a small basket on the table in the lobby full of "thank you" cards that are quite touching. I wanted to leave this place a review for people like me looking for a good last minute massage. I am from Los Angeles and have had a handful of massages in my life. This place is clean and simple (in a good way). They were able to accommodate my time which was 10 minutes after i called. I only saw 1 staff member while I was there and she is the one who gave me my massage. I got a 1 hr full body massage and I like light to medium pressure and that is what I got without having to ask. She did ask if the pressure was okay, which is always appreciated. When it was time for the hot stones, they were very hot in the beginning and she made sure to ask if the temperature was okay and when I told her no, she immediately removed them and let them cool down to get to a perfect temp before bringing them back into the massage. I would have rated a 5 star, however, they have a $5 off coupon on yelp for new customers which I wanted to take advantage of, but when I got there I was told they stopped that a year ago. (I suggested they remove it from the yelp site ‍). The other thing that made me not give 5 stars was during my massage, she left the room suddenly (I'm not sure if it was to help other customers or to grab something because it was just a little longer then expected and I heard her talking to customers). I just felt slightly awkward not knowing what was going on. Usually the massage therapist let's me know wheb they need to leave the room to grab something. She left the room 1 more time, but that time I'm pretty sure it was to grab something because it was rather quick. Overall this place deserves a 4.5 star rating and if I'm ever back in town I would definitely come back here again. read more

This was my first time getting a massage. My fiancé and I did the couples massage. We were met at the door and created my name. Very clean and modern waiting area. We were taken to a room where we got ready for the massage. The masseuses knock on the door prior to entering to ensure we were ready for them. The room was clean, dimly lit with soft music playing in the background. They began the massage and asked frequently if the pressure was adequate. They did a full head, neck, back, buttock, leg and partial foot massage. They used oils and hot stones (amazing). They did a front massage including the head, face, shoulders, arms and legs. My husband had been having issues with his back, shoulder and neck for over a year. After trying every medical, chiropractic, PT and acupuncture option to relieve pain I booked him an appointment here. He did the 75 minute pressure massage and he has been pain free for the last month and a half. I will be booking more appointments for myself, and other family members. read more

Purchased a Groupon and merchant said their policy changed and they only honor coupons on Mondays through Thursdays. There were no restrictions on the Groupon. They are still selling Groupons for use any day of the week! I asked them if they would still honor it for a Friday since the Groupon had no restrictions and this was the only day I could use it.
