Great atmosphere! We ordered food at the bar by filling out a slip of paper with our choice and options. I ordered the bratwurst sandwich and it came with a bag of chips. I also ordered the potato salad. It was a little sweet for me. The beer selection was full of great German options.

We stopped in to grab a sandwich before the Christmas parade. Go to the deli counter, fill out the form, and hand it in. Each sandwich comes with lay's chips and a pickle. It was fast, fresh and perfect for a quick, no frills, dinner. Grab your fav soft drink on the way out.

I'm from Florida and this is my third time in town, Betty's keeps us full from breakfast to their lunch! Me and my wife get bacon egg and cheeses for breakfast. The bacon is crispy and the biscuits are soft and delicious. For lunch we order bacon cheesesteaks and a BLT, both were phenomenal!!!

One of my favorite bars on our visit to Helen. I LOVE Betty's market so having some drinks, checking out all the drinks and snacks inside, when coming back for a drink and bite to eat is perfect! While we didn't eat here, the food we did see looked yummy! So most people I assume come here for the wine slushee like I did and let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint! SO refreshing and I loved collecting the little ducks to take home for our kiddos. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and super nice to talk to. Great place, everyone must go even if you're passing through!

This place is everything you could ask for!!! Beer, wine, food, eggs, milk, any groceries you need for your Air BNB (I grabbed K cups and some creamer) The smoothies are great, the wine slushy is perfect on a hot day!!! I highly recommend!!!!

This was a great find! It is right off the main strip and is attached to a grocery store. They have a great selection of German beers mostly in bottles. They also serve craft beers and everything is extremely reasonably priced. Some locations in town will charge you double or triple the price for the same beer. All seating is outdoors and it provides a great location to people watch. You can buy food inside the store and bring it outside to eat or you can order from their menu.

Really sweet service and fresh food. You fill out a menu card and can build your own sandwich- which comes with chips, a pickle and a cookie. Simple and perfect.

It was a sweltering day outside and the A/C and cold beers were definitely a welcomed sight. The owner and staff we spoke with were so friendly and gave my brother in law (who will be close by now) the run down on upcoming Oktoberfest events and when the best times to visit were to avoid the insane college weekends. We had one of the most delicious pretzels I've ever consumed and I took precisely zero pictures of it because it didn't last long. Inside the shop is small but they have a big beautiful outdoor seating space with games at each table. We look forward to visiting again in the cooler months and checking out their sister store up the road.

You order your food up front and can grab it and take it outside. We enjoyed our pretzels and beer here, but wish we didn't have to wait inside for a while before getting our food (or that it could have been walked out to us). Prices were great for the location. Liked the string game outside (where you try to get the string on the hook). A great little stop for a quick, cheap bite. Not necessarily a place to linger.

The food almost tastes freezer burned and the burger I had felt fake and dense. The only food that felt edible were the onion rings. I would come for drinks only but there are so many cool bars in Helen I probably won't be back. Points to the extremely nice and bubbly waitress. She took great care of us and made us feel welcome. If you're looking for quick drinks with an outdoor setting that has great people watching than this would be a fun place to start the night or after an extremely drunken night where the taste of food doesn't matter much.

We started with the Pretzel Bites which were essentially deep fried pieces of pretzels. Not sure who thought to say this was Bavarian style. I'm not entirely sure they were deep fried but they had a very thick batter and tasted similar to say an onion ring batter. Very crunchy even through. We're pescatarian anyway so food is always limited in tourist towns (but far easier to find options in Germany than in Helen). I decided to go with the veggie burger which was a black bean patty from Morningstar. Honestly I like them and we asked before anyway so this was fine with me. The bread was good and the fries were fresh and hot. My wife got the fish platter I think it was called and it was pretty bad. She could eat the fries but not all of the fish. It was heavily deep fried and you could flick it putting a dent in the batter. My son got the fried shrimp which he ate a couple of but then said he was done. My wife tried his and said it was better than the fish platter so had a couple. We went with two friends who shared chicken tenders. They weren't impressed, to me they looked like chicken schnitzel it was so thin. I'm not going to judge quality on chicken though so it may be good? Location and service was the main thing going for it. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, we sat outside and we could watch people float by tubing so people watching was good. The atmosphere at this time during lunch was pretty quiet and chill. I could see it getting packed in the evenings especially for those going out for drinks. Overall I can't say I was surprised by the quality but I hoped I would be wrong. For the cost and quality of food we won't go back.
