I decided on the Large Mr Zed's Special Sub ($7.40 plus tax) which was made promptly and fresh to order. The friendly lady gave me a discount, charged $7 total for giving this place a try. This hot sub was very tasty, which had slices of grilled ham, bacon, chicken, sauteed onions & mushrooms, melted cheese, mayo & mustard on a soft slightly chewy white sub roll. I am glad I chose Mr. Zed's for my quick dinner.

Their main item is a variety of (Nathan's) footlong hot dogs to choose from, but they also have smash burgers, various poutine options and great fresh cut fries. We tried a regular footlong, along with another footlong called the 'Elvis'. The Elvis is a creative hot dog that includes peanut butter, jam, Fruity Pebbles and bacon. All the items we ordered looked amazing in terms of presentation, carefully placed in a cardboard tray for easy takeaway. Definitely going back to try their smash burgers and butter chicken poutine! It's cool that this joint was established in 1917. We are eating at a landmark of Liverpool. Walking in the front, there's a huge menu board to check out. We all walked in and ordered. It is a little crowded in the ordering area. There's not a lot of space between the wall and the counter. We ordered quite a few things. Of course we had to try everything. I really wanted to try the hot dogs but they gave veal in them. I just can't wrap my head around the veal. So, tonight I ordered the sausage with onions and peppers, onion rings and fries. Everything was cooked right in front of us while we were waiting. Everything on the grill looked so good! We loaded up our trays with our goodies after it was all cooked and headed to the dining area. I added some mustard and ketchup to my sausage. The onions and peppers were sautéed nicely. The sausage was tasty but dry. I ate about half and was over it. I didn't eat it with the roll, it was just too much. The onion rings were my favorite! I love the beer batter that they use. I dipped that onion ring in a side of cheese sauce, fantastic! The fries were good as well. And yes, they are even better dipped in cheese sauce. My husband smashed both of his chili and cheese dogs. He washed everything down with their chocolate milk. I had a sip of it and it's super chocolatey! It was neat to eat here today. My burger was very dried out and maybe this is personal preference but I hate when burgers a super duper crispy. The service took forever because they only had one girl serving everyone. And the whole place was located in this slightly sketchy parking lot. Inside it was looking very dingy and I personally didn't really like that. So yes not my fav but to each their own I suppose

So a couple weeks ago I received some coupons in the mail from Harvey's and I usually don't go here…read morebecause I find there are much better places around I said what the hell its down the street I have coupons and don't feel like cooking anything so get there at the drive this is friday october 2nd btw at like 4:00 pm so its clogged the drive no big deal so after about 20 minutes I reach the menu sign and place my order alerting them that I will be using the two coupons for the large signature poutine and angus meal deal and then tell them what poutine and condiments on the burger. After another 5 to 10 minutes I reach the pick up window and wait another 5 mnutes again no big deal I receive the food and when I get home my brother pulls out the poutine and we notice that it is not a large but a medium and not only that its not he signature bacon cheese but literally just fries with gravy and maybe two curds of cheese so I'm very annoyed considering the wait for this and am thinking of going back then I pull out my order the angus mean deal which wasn't even an angus burger but and original burger wtf and handful of fries needless to say I was fuming at this point and first tries calling but could only get through to a voice mail figures at this point feeling if I had just been burned for $20 plus I debated about going back over but noticed that the kid working there never even gave me a receipt as I checked the bag because I assumed it was in there because he never handed one to me so I just said forget it because without the bill that they never gave me and having to drive over and go inside I just counted it as a lesson never to go back to Harvey's or this location and would advise others not to as well unless you want to get ripped and substandard food by kids that don't care.
