The restaurant was able to take our entire hockey team, parents, and siblings at a drop of a dime after a championship game. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend the $16+ poutine which comes loaded and delicious. $14 wings were delicious & perfectly cooked + sauced. $15 carne asada quesadilla: pretty standard but great for kids. I had ribs there once which had a nice bite to them but were a limited time offering. I think it's nice to have these options instead of just chicken tenders from the snack bar. (Which no joke are delicious and perfectly fried.) If your kid is on rink one, there's a row of seats so you can enjoy the food in the comfort of the warm side of the glass. Yessss!! read more

Upstairs at Great Park Ice with views of rink 1 (restaurant portion) and rink 2 (bar portion). You can access via both elevator and stairs. Casual atmosphere with a ton of TVs broadcasting sports. Order at the register and they bring your food to you. Fast and friendly service. The following was enough for two adults and a toddler and cost around $55 including tax and small tip as of Nov 2024: chips and salsa, two tacos (choice of chicken or carne asada - you can't get one of each for some weird reason), cheese pizza flatbread, and fish n chips. Everything was great! Fries reminded me of In n Out. Fish were huge filets, which were messy and difficult to share, but delicious nonetheless. This is by far the best non-nhl rink I've ever been to. The bar and restaurant sits between rinks 1 and 2. I ordered the Salmon dinner and it was fantastic. "Between the Rinks" is a BIG step up from that old school ice skating rink food. You know, those stale hot dogs that have been rolling under heat for way too long, or nachos with "suspect" orange cheese goo. This place has given skating rink food an upgrade, and I'm not mad about it! This place is also a bar, so you can get tipsy while watching the skaters do flipsies! I ordered the two street tacos (option of 2 or 4), if you like to eat, get four because they are definitely street taco sized. Both the steak and chicken were really well seasoned. The salsa was also really flavorful and you do get some chips with your taco order too (although I wish they gave a tad bit more of them). read more

If you haven't had an opportunity to check out the Great Park Ice and FivePoint Arena, it's MASSIVE! It houses four indoor ice rinks, a pro shop and of course a restaurant and bar. We live nearby, so we decided to check out the venue and its food and beverage offerings. Service at Between The Rinks was friendly and the eats and drinks were delightful! Portion size was a bit small for the price, but otherwise we enjoyed a wonderful dining experience and we look forward to our next visit. read more

3.5 stars. Love the convenience of this food stand and the upstairs bar. The prices are steep for the bar but I cannot express how awesome it is to have a neighborhood hang out where parents can escape for a glass of wine while the kids skate. Would be nice to have an expanded menu, we ordered the club sandwich, a hot dog and downed it with a glass of red wine and a spicy margarita. We have spent quite a bit of time at the ice rink here (hockey mom here...) and we generally need arrive up to 2 hours before a game. Time for me to kill....since this isn't my hometown, errands are out. Before games I generally sit in my car and listen to music (I wait until the last possible minute to go inside the freezing cold rink!) here in Irvine they have a full restaurant overlooking rink #1 and the bar is between rink #1 & rink #2. This is an excellent place to hang before a game. It could even pretty good spot during a game, however I prefer to be in the rink to hear all the cheers and noise. they have a full bar and a great menu. Quite a few of the parents and siblings are also here...so great for pregame bonding =) I wish they had a 2nd space that overlooked rink #3 & #4 ...maybe someday read more

This restaurant, perched on the second floor between Rinks 1 & 2 at the Great Park Ice & Sports Complex has a bar area overlooking both rinks and another bar area that's in the dining area. An elevator takes you from the first to the second floor or you can just run up the stairs. This is going to be a fun place to go to recharge after all of our skating lessons. read more

The lady there made my iced latte wrong. She put steamed milk in, and it melted all of the ice. She then proceeded to add more ice, making it super watery. When I complained, the manager came out and started arguing with me. He told me if I thought it was watery, he would add more expresso. Then he told me 1 shot of expresso cost $4. In between Hockey Initiation and Draft skate for my son, we stopped by here for lunch. Service was very quick and the waitress was attentive. Unfortunately I was unable to take a pic of my burger because one of my sons was unruly so I had to put on a movie. We had the Irvine Valley Burger and the carne Asada tacos. Burger came with an egg, cheese, bacon, and avocado. I was surprise at how good the burger was and how big it was. The real kicker was my sons tacos. Man was the carne asada delicious. Quality of meat was much better than other established tacos places around the area. This place is a must visit if you are in the area. read more

Went here after a public skate. This place has a great full bar with craft beers at reasonable prices. The wing I had did not disappoint and were very fresh. Overall this is a great place to grab a drink after a skate/game or to hang out and watch the events on Rinks 1 & 2. read more

My previous review was based solely on one individual I've been back many times and they've change the staff quite a bit they're more friendly or attentive and overall a better experience. Great service, great selection of beer and great food. We were very happy to stumble upon this place between our daughter's games.

The food was decent (only reason it's not one star), but the craft beer selection was a big time fail. No single IPAs. Anybody that knows anything about craft beers knows that IPAs sell. Orange County has tons of good craft breweries, which you should support. Hope this changes, as I and many of my IPA drinking friends are there often. read more

This was my first time eating here and would not come back. The rinks is such a beautiful facility however the service was terrible 2+hours to get some of our food. My salad never showed up and the appetizers were cold. The Cheese on the nachos was cold and coagulated just down right gross.
