Came here for some drinks and was looking for a causal spot. The vibes were good here and progressively got busier in the night. It's a relatively small spot but big enough for a full bar top, two pool tables, and regular tables for people ordering food. The bartenders were really friendly and attentive. I'd come back!

Poor service, and a meal abandoned thanks to Hannah.

Been coming to the Door / Dawg for over 15 years. Never have I met a bartender so involved in trying to ignore, and flirt with men to get tips. I came in for dinner and left after one drink. She was completely ignoring most of the men, especially those with couples and had no idea what it means to provide good service. Her name "Hannah" a complete child and bad representation of the Door / Dawg. She had the tenacity to snap back at customers for asking for a bill. Entitled and a child. Please bring back a better serving bartender for prime nights.

MUST BE 21+ WITH PHYSICAL* ID. They will not let you dine here without your ID. Walked in with my boyfriend and was really excited to try the food because of the reviews. I really wanted to try the breakfast burger and liked how their prices included the taxes. My boyfriend and I sat ourselves at one of the tables. The bartender who came up to us was very blunt and rude. She asked for our IDs and while my boyfriend presented his, I didn't bring my wallet. I think she could have been a lot nicer and if she knew the outcome of not having an ID, she could have been more polite. She walked up to our table with the intention of kicking us out. We didn't even get a "I'm so sorry, we can't serve you without your physical ID." Her words were "I need to see your IDs." Very stern and condescending. I have a picture of my ID on my phone, but like most places they need the real thing. Mind you, I turn 26 in a couple months, so I'll take the compliment for aging gracefully. 1 star is for the poor approach by the bartender. No thank you friend. Otherwise, please enjoy the photos of the interior. The bar is really nice and it's unfortunate I didn't get to order anything. Will have to come back when I have my ID.

Great staff, drinks and good folks to hang with. However, the food is good but overpriced. Other than that, fun place to hang out at.

You can make reservations on Yelp, and there is also a Yelp live wait list. We visited during happy hour (Tuesday thru Friday from 4pm to 6pm) to take advantage of their food specials. We had the coconut shrimp ($12, but $7 during happy hour) which are always good. We also had some fries ($7, but $5 during happy hour). They were good and a generous portion. She wanted to try the vegan (cauliflower) salt & vinegar wings ($14, but $9 during happy hour). They were breaded and fried well, but had very little flavor. There was just a light sprinkle of a salt & vinegar seasoning. More salt and a dash of malt vinegar on them, or a side of malt vinegar would have made them a lot better. The happy hour food was a good value and got something in our stomachs. My first cocktail was the Wilderness Badge (Tequila, Lemongrass, Basil, Bergamot, Lemon, $17). This was by far my favorite. I love Italicus liqueur and this drink had great bergamot flavor up front with a light basil flavor from the basil infused tequila. It was very balanced and I would have never guessed this was a tequila based cocktail. She started out with the Sasquatch Sighting (Jamacian Overproof Rum, Cynar, Mango, Molasses, Lime, $17). This was balanced, with a light bitterness and light sweetness with mango flavor. Next, I tried The Lost Camper (Demerara Rum, Thai Green Tea, Pineapple, Coconut, Lime, $16). It was a pineapple bomb with a hint of coconut. I didn't like it at all and actually sent it back. I did think the skeleton arm and hand swizzle stick was cool. It is served with the hand at the bottom, but I took the picture with it sticking out. Instead, I had the Black Sands from the regular cocktail menu (Bali Hai Pineapple Rum, Diplomatica Reserve Rum, Pineapple, Orange, Guava, Lime, Coco, charcoal, $18). It is served with a flaming lime and sugar cube. I've had this several times and love it. It has a great funky complex flavor. Next, she had the Naked & Afraid (Mezcal, Campari, Smoked Pineapple, Serrano, Passionfruit, Lemon, $17). This was really good with a great complex mix of smoke and bitterness with a little heat. She gulped it down, and I was lucky to get a few sips. We decided to share the last new cocktail, the Scouts Honor (Vokda, Peach, Mandarin, Orgeat, Lime, $16) so we could say we tried them all. It looks nice with a bright orange color, but it was very sweet and peach forward with a hint of orange. Our server Crystal was great, very friendly and provided great service. We started collecting mugs recently, and we bought the Belly of the Beast Monstro mug ($62) to take home. BOTB is their Pinocchio themed speakeasy in the back (separate reservation required). They also have several other Stowaway branded mugs available. This visit was definitely better than our last few. As far as the five new Summer Camp cocktails, two were excellent, one was good, one was ok, and one was not good. The food was good, and is a great value during happy hour.

Located in a business center, the space is huge and perfect for the solo patron or being the whole family to let the kids run around the open grassy area. I love the theme of the place and the fact they also themed the names of menu items!! We picked up our beers and ordered dinner pretty fast. The menu was amazing and had all kinds of options available. I ordered the Korean Demilitarization Zone Pork Tacos. 3 decently sized tacos, extremely filling and paired great with my beer. Everything was cooked and seasoned so well. The chips were a nice side to go along with them. I loved it all. I wished I lived closer because I would definitely frequent this place if it was in San Diego!

To the Management Team at Hangar 24, I wanted to share some…read morefeedback regarding the recent changes to your live entertainment format. For years, Hangar 24 has been a place where families can gather, enjoy great food and drinks, listen to live music, and allow their children to safely play and have fun. It has created a welcoming environment that appeals to a broad audience, and that family-friendly atmosphere is one of the reasons so many people continue to return. Last night, however, I noticed a significant change that concerned me. Instead of having the live band perform earlier in the evening, a DJ played first and the band performed much later. Many people, including myself, came specifically to enjoy the live band, and the new format seemed confusing to much of the crowd. As I observed throughout the evening, very few people were dancing during the DJ set. Most guests remained seated, looking uncertain about the change. In addition, some of the music selections and volume level felt inappropriate for a venue that attracts so many families with young children. I noticed several children covering their ears, and many parents appeared uncomfortable. From my perspective, Hangar 24's customer base is largely made up of families. Those families purchase food, drinks, and often stay for several hours while their children enjoy the outdoor space. By scheduling the live band later in the evening, many parents are forced to leave before the performance begins because their children are tired or it is simply too late for a family outing. If the goal is to attract a younger nightlife crowd, a better approach might be to have the live band perform earlier in the evening when families are present and then transition to a DJ later at night for guests who prefer that atmosphere. This would allow both audiences to enjoy the venue without alienating the families who have supported Hangar 24 for years. I am sharing this feedback because I genuinely enjoy coming to Hangar 24 and want to see it continue to succeed. I believe many guests share these concerns, and I hope management will carefully consider how these changes may impact the loyal family customer base that has helped make Hangar 24 such a popular destination. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, A Concerned Customer

You know... the actual BBQ staples people come here for. If you can't serve your headline dishes, maybe don't pretend you're a BBQ restaurant. Then the service: our drinks came out in random batches, so we couldn't even do a simple cheers together. Basic stuff, botched. And the cherry on top: we tried to order a grilled cheese and were told they ran out of bread (how?) and that they'd send Texas toast instead. Fine. Except then we're told the kitchen refused to make it. Not "we can't," not "it'll be a wait," but refused. So you're out of bread, out of major entrees, and the kitchen just decides it won't make a simple menu item? That's not a restaurant -- that's dysfunction. This place felt disorganized, unprepared, and honestly kind of careless. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Save your money and your time.

Hi Melene Thank you for your response. I want to acknowledge…read morethat I did eventually sit down without being seated, and I understand that doing so was not consistent with your normal process. For that, I take responsibility. However, I believe your description leaves out important context that contributed to the situation. I waited in line like every other customer and spoke directly with the hostess. She was preparing to seat me, but then informed me that because I did not yet have all four members of my party present, I could not be seated. I explained that some members of my party were still looking for parking while others were on their way, and asked whether I could simply be seated as a party of one while I waited. I had driven a considerable distance specifically for this event and intended to purchase food and drinks. I was told that I could not be seated or served until the rest of my party arrived. What made this especially confusing was that the event had been advertised as first come, first served. Based on that advertising, I reasonably expected that arriving early and waiting in line would secure a place. Instead, I was told I could not be seated or served despite having arrived and waited my turn. Out of frustration, I briefly sat down hoping to get a drink of water and order food while waiting. When I was told I could not sit there, I immediately got up and left the table. I then asked whether there was anywhere else I could at least get food and water while waiting for my friends. Both the hostess and the manager informed me that I could not be served unless my full party was present. What further added to my frustration was watching a party of two get seated shortly afterward. Whether there were circumstances I was unaware of or not, it created the appearance that the policy was being applied inconsistently. My concern is less about being denied a table and more about the inconsistent messaging and customer experience. Had I been clearly informed in advance that "first come, first served" was subject to a full-party seating requirement, I would have planned accordingly. While I can acknowledge my role in the interaction, I believe there is also an opportunity for your business to reflect on how situations like this are communicated and handled. Customer dissatisfaction often comes not from the existence of a policy, but from inconsistent application and poor communication of that policy. Given the number of reviews expressing similar concerns, it may be worth considering whether there is a pattern that deserves attention. I wish your business success and appreciate you taking the time to respond.
