Bought a fund raising coupon card for Lamppost and wanted to use it. This place is massive! We went on a Saturday for lunch and there were not a lot of people. But I can imagine this place being packed after school sports games and other similar event. One side is the regular dining area while the other side has what seems to be a brewery and bar. Saw that their menu has wine by the glasses too, which are well priced! They also have a small arcade area. We ordered one topping med pizza and added additional topping - pepperoni and sausage toppings. We also ordered a side of meatballs and cheese. Our food came quickly and they were good! You queue up to order and pay but they deliver your food to your table. Place is really clean, service good, nice staff. read more

This place is spacious! Good for team pizza dining or school get togethers. Clean and orderly when i went. Had pizza lunch and it was delish. The medium is good sized for 2-3 people. Had pepperoni and sausage pizza, and meatballs and cheese appetizers. I was surprised and satisfied at the quality of pizza in general and it was tasty too! Lots of seating, service was really great! Food was freshly made. We were here during the day on a random weekday. There were speakers on top of every table. While that's great for the right time/event, it was hard to figure out where to put my stroller without hurting my baby's hearing. Just a preference, wouldn't be an issue for most people. I knocked down a few stars for the quality of the food. While the pizza was made fresh, it was so greasy/heavy. Lifted the pizza and there was so much oil under the pizza and some of the ingredients itself tasted off. The buffalo wings had soggy skin and tasted/smelled like poultry that wasn't very fresh. It wasn't very crispy, felt boiled. I did like their marinara and would try a different pizza next time that isn't too heavy. A lot of beer on tap. So many good options. Apparently this location is going to brew their own beer. I plan to go back again and may adjust this review! read more

I actually ended up taking it home and doctoring it a bit to make it taste better. I was expecting shredded or fresh chicken chunks - I'm not sure where they source theirs. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and actually care about what they're serving. The combo appetizer plate was also so good and perfect for sharing. Everything came out hot and full of flavor. Since it's a brewery too, the beer is on another level. So fresh, cold, and it pairs perfectly with the food. Lake Forest is so happy to have this updated version of Lamppost Pizza and brewery! This refresh was something we all needed. There are loads of choices for everyone, it's super family friendly and the owners are Lake Forest residents who are constantly giving back and helping their community. The service is great. Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. The owners are often working and they hire local people as employees. There's plenty of chances to watch sports and hangout. Every time I have come in, I have seen people that I know. The pizza is great. They offer gluten free choices as well and they are really good.The salads a large and are really good as well. We ordered from DoorDash. We were hosting a party and needed a couple of pizzas, and luckily for us, Lamppost Pizza is just down the street. The pizzas arrived pristine, thanks to our DoorDash driver. It also arrived HOT. We ordered two large pizzas -- one with cheese, the other with pepperoni. Very simple. I really liked the dough. It was nice and fluffy. There could have been a touch more sauce, but in general, sauce tasted pretty good. Homemade. Toppings and cheese were excellent, and the crust was top notch. We ate here because this location offered free pizza to AYSO soccer players at the end of the season, which is a great way to show love to our community. The pizza was very good and they had a nice selection of beer on tap. It has a nice patio area and an adult atmosphere. However, i found out I needed to go to the right. That's the restaurant and pick up side. It was clean and inviting. It has the feel of a locally owned place and not a corporate store front. The staff was friendly and took the time to explain how they used a bit of olive oil because I asked for crispier crust. The pizza was good looking and tasty. I ordered cheese but may start experimenting with toppings now i have tried it.
