I have been going to Greg since 2012 when I move down here from Maryland. I had lost my hair do to chemo, and it grew back enough to have a proper cut. He was amazing, always professional. My hair had grown back white, after going to Greg a number of time I said I was ready to ditch the white. He did a fantastic job coloring my hair back to the blonde I was. I have always been happy with my hair cuts. I tell Greg what I want, once in a while I've shown a pic out of a magazine (but rarely), he listens and cuts perfectly every time. I would not go to anyone else. Greg and I have gotten to know one another over the years and have had discussions about a wide range of topics from politics to our faith. I went to Vega Hair Design on 8/16/18. I had an appointment with Greg. When I walked into the salon I had four different colors of hair. I really needed a corrective color appointment. Greg took the time to explain the science of hair coloring and exactly what we needed to do. I realized that I just haven't found the right colorist since moving to Myrtle Beach. I was amazed at how much I didn't know about the proper technique of coloring hair. The color is now very true to my natural color and a haircut he gave me is one of the best I've ever had! Salon Vega is an amazing salon! Greg has been my friend for over 20 years. I have the honor of knowing him, his ex wife (who are still best friends), and new wife along with their children. Not only is he an exceptional stylist but also is extremely professional. Before I moved, he was my stylist for 12 years. Never would he jeopardize his reputation, career, marriage, or the way his children look up to him by saying such filth to a client sitting in his chair- nor would he give a bad cut! A pleasant surprise I moved here a year ago and was looking for a new hairdresser who could manage my difficult wavy hair. After the first cut I knew Greg was the stylist I had been looking for since leaving Chicago where I might add I traveled into the city in search of a good haircut Greg listened to my needs, with humidity being a big issue for me, and gave me a conservative cut I could manage. At our next appointment I urged him to cut it even shorter also a cut I could manage. I was so happy to find a good hair stylist and he has helped to make my move here easier. I have been getting my hair done and my beard trimmed up by Greg for 5 years now. My daughter also has her hair done by Greg. He actually specially styled and curled her hair for her birthday party to make her feel like a princess. Greg, his wife Michelle, and the entire staff and Vega are always kind, welcoming, and hospitable to my daughter and I every time we come in there. They always offer myself, my daughter and all the other customers drinks, snacks, and candy.
