DIY Wedding Planning on a budget is NO JOKE. I did it, but, Man! So much harder then I expected. If you want to plan your own wedding and make the most economical choices while keeping it classy, you will really benefit from finding the BEST VENDORS to make that happen. Vendors who care beyond their paycheck. I am not writing Yelp reviews for all of my vendors because it's too awkward to document anything less than a five star experience considering they totally remember you and have all your personal deets on file! Beverlees was five star all the way. I had a heck of a time finding a bartending service that would allow me to purchase my own liquor to keep costs down in the area of my wedding (near Valencia, CA) with good ratings. I tried using Thumbtack which ended up being scary-- bartenders who had great ratings on that site had terrible ratings here on Yelp. Beverlees didn't have many Yelp reviews, but they had pages of handwritten thank you notes posted on their website as reference. It's an old school business that precedes online reviews and has relied for decades on referrals and repeat business. Before I contracted them, the manager Brian was already giving me I started massive amounts of helpful information on the phone and we formed an instant relationship of trust. Brian and I must have spent hours on the phone over the next few months if you added it up! Whenever I thought I had my questions answered, it turned out I had more, and he never hesitated to take the time to help. He was seriously committed to helping me plan the most efficient, cost effective, and personalized wedding bar. He made me a shopping list with items and quantities and even helped me figure out which places had the best prices on what. He took care of ordering ice, cups, and other complicated logistical stuff for mere dollars more than the cost of doing it myself (SO WORTH IT). I am sad that on the day of the wedding I never made it to the bar! As the bride, the wedding party was something of a dreamy blur. People handed me drinks all night so I never needed to go over there. I do know that the drinks were AMAZING. Exactly as I wanted them to taste, and I am pretty picky about my cocktails. I received compliments on the drinks from everyone. I also received many compliments on the bartenders being friendly, fast, generous, accommodating, funny, and even "hot". I wish I had met these mystery cuties! Cost wise and clean-up wise there were no surprises. They treated my guests like gold without a tip jar. We tipped them cash ourselves at the end of the night. I read horror story reviews of other companies hassling guests for tips, eek! People go nuts for Luxardo cherries which you can order online. You don't need bubbly for a toast, people can raise whatever they are already drinking! My wife and I hired two Beverlees employees to work our wedding earlier this month and we cannot say enough good things about them. The two servers were warm, generous and extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel welcome and because they were bilingual, were able to chat with ALL of our guests, some of whom only speak Spanish! In the areas where our coordinator fell short or was overwhelmed, Beverlees' staff was there to pick up the slack. Without asking, they took it upon themselves to help clean up decorations from the wedding ceremony and load them into our truck. They offered to refill guests' drinks even though that wasn't expected. Where do I begin? My wife and I were referred to Beverlee's through our wedding coordinator. Boy were we glad we were!! We dealt with Brian from day one until the day of our wedding. He is professional, well organized, experienced in the industry, and willing to go the extra mile! We first sat down with Brian a month and a half prior to our wedding to discuss an open bar service for our guest on our special day. Brian was very informative and knowledgable. He was very thorough and explained many different options, drinks, ideas, and even ways to save money! After meeting with Brian we decided to go forth in hiring Beverlee's. The venue we chose was a historical museum and was very strict on outside vendors that we brought in. Beverlee's has all of their certs and liquor license required by the state, but the venue had its own set of requirements. Long story short, Brian worked extra hard and jumped through severely extra hoops for us to make sure he would be able to keep his word in providing his service!! As far as the service and quality of drinks... I'll begin by saying that I lost count of how many compliments we received that night. The drinks were amazing just like promised. Brian was present and made sure everything was in order and kept things running smooth. Beverlee's also provides photo booth services. Again, a class A service! This wasn't your typical photo booth. All the props were hung up nice and organized unlike other photo booths I've witnessed that have everything in buckets or just laying on a table. Unlimited prints was also a plus. The staff running the booth was friendly and helpful. And at the end of the day, my wife and I received a nice photo book with a copy of all our guest's photo strips with personalized messages! It was an awesome addition to our wedding and glad we added it to our package. Our family and friends had a blast and we will forever have the memories. One note I would like to highlight is that Brian was genuine and his main priority was making us happy. My wife and I could tell that he wanted to do the best job possible for our day since we met him. I initially called Beverlee's to inquire about their staffing services for my daughter's wedding. We ended up using them for staffing, as well as bartending and DJ services. I spoke with Brian on the phone and he became our contact person at the company. From the very beginning and throughout the whole process, which included several meetings with Brian, he explained their services clearly and in good detail. The wedding ceremony and reception were held at a local ranch, where we needed to have all equipment and services brought in. The day of the wedding went very smoothly with Beverlee's staff, bartenders and DJ arriving on schedule with enough time for an unhurried set-up. The full bar, table centerpieces and table settings were set up carefully and as planned. During the reception, all staff, bartenders and DJ worked diligently to make sure the "big day" came off without a hitch. Guests had a great time, and I give much credit to Beverlee's. It really was a "perfect" day! Beverlee's management and staff are true professionals in every way and I recommend them without reservation. Beverlee's also offers wedding coordinator services, and although we did not utilize those services, after having worked with their excellent staff I believe they would do a great job and I would highly recommend them. Post Script: The bartending package that we contracted with Beverlee's was for their "procurement" services. What this means is that, for a fee, they will purchase all liquor, mixers etc. and the customer pays only for what is opened (rather than us bringing everything in ourselves). We met with them before the wedding and discussed everything we wanted, including brands and what we thought our guests would like to drink. It was a warm summer late-afternoon ceremony, so we also had bottled water available. A month after the wedding, the bride told me that she had stopped at the bar after her photographs had been taken, about 7:30 PM, as she was very thirsty, and the bartender told her they had "run out of water." Other than this, it was a very good experience. However, if you are considering their procurement services, I would sure ask about this issue. The water was never replenished. read more

Wow, I am so glad we decided to use Beverlee's for our wedding on 3.24.18. They provided bartenders, serving staff, and rentals for our big day. It's so awesome to find a catch-all vendor like Beverlee's, who can do pretty much anything you need. Brian was incredibly helpful from start to finish. We paid a little extra for Beverlee's procurement service to ensure we never ran out of alcohol, and we were extremely pleased with all the services provided. Love, love, love this company. They were at the New Year's Eve party that we attended and they had a photo booth. The photo booth had a real camera so the pics were perfect. They also made a book for the host and printed a picture for everyone in the picture as well as one that they made a scrap book and had the people that were in the pic sign it. Fabulous idea! I hired Beverlee's for my agency's holiday party and they were outstanding. They have a very generous arrangements for 501c3 organizations where they will set up a bar and sell the alcohol, you just have to pay a set up fee. Other bartering services had some kind of reduced price for 501c3s, but Beverlee's was by far the most generous and Brian expressed that this was just a way that they like to help non-profits in the community as a way to give back, he was very nice and sincere. I also got their regular price quote before I knew about the 501c3 deal, and those prices too were better than the other places I got quotes from. Brian was really awesome to work with and super flexible in the planning. At the event, he and his staff were totally reliable, professional, and just above and beyond.
