I've been a customer for years. I booked a cab two days in advance for the airport. When they didn't show, I called; the automated system told me it hadn't even assigned a driver yet. I had to use Uber. THIS is why the taxi company is going to lose business to apps like Uber - even when I'm trying to give them business, they don't grasp the concept of basic customer service. The cab driver would not move the car when I showed him that he stopped in a bad spot on a driveway. My 84-year-old father uses a cane and has trouble walking. The driver changed me to a flat fare +$10 higher than my normal metered rides because I was only a 15 minute drive, and complained the entire ride when I called him out on this. He then almost yelled at me when I followed the screen instructions to send myself a receipt, and again when I accidentally closed the door with the seatbelt sticking out in haste because he clearly did not want me there any more. I felt unsafe and had people wait outside for me because of his behavior. I will actively avoid this company from here on out. Never again! read more

There are several problems with it. a. Today I called for a cab and I was sitting in a wheel chair, however, was going to use my walker.. In an abusive manner he said to put the transport chair in the car there was an additional 10 dollar charge. I used this cab company before and there was never a charge. It folds up. I was going to use my walker. At first I thought he was joking with me. Then I realized he wasn't. I found him abusive bordering on elder abuse. I didn't want the cab after that. He was speaking in a loud voice to the call center. I thought I would have to call the police to escort him off the property, however, that wasn't necessary. I called the cab company immediately to complain, however, they didn't seem to care. Then, they contacted me to the owner's voice mail. It has been at least 3 hours and he hasn't called me back. b. I noticed they charge different prices for the same distance. On time it was $9,00 and another 17.00. They charge according to the cab driver. If he/she is honest the price is lower. c. One time I was waiting an hour for a cab. They never called me to update the time it would arrive. He said he put out the call, but, no one came. I had a physical therapy appointment and I was late. We have used Beverly Hills Cab Company for many years, it was comforting to know that when you called they had a record of our number and knew immediately where to pick us up. So something changed and the last two times we called and booked to go to the airport they failed to show up. When we telephoned to find out where they were they told us it would be an hour before they could pick us up. And clearly they had no record of our booking. Aug 14 I needed a ride home from surgery at S.C. Hospital in Culver City. A nurse called B.H. Cab and a driver in cab #3333 finally arrived after a very long wait. Our brief 1.9 mile drive was silent. At end, the driver wanted $12.35. But the rep. who spoke with the nurse said the flag throw was $2.85 and each mile was $2.75. When I relayed this to the driver, he became angry & insulting, telling me that he had to drive a long way to pick me up, this trip was too short to bother with, not to use his company any more, etc. I could not see a dollar amount showing on the meter. Still weak from my surgery, I submissively gave him $13 but asked for change. He said he had none. He said a receipt would be sent to my email. Back home, I called his company and spoke with agent Vida who confirmed the previous rep.'s price quote. She then took my complaint with obvious disinterest and said her manager would call me. Arrived in LA today. Took Beverly Hills Cab Co to my hotel on Wilshire. The driver was rude. When I told him where I needed to go, he had no clue what I was talking about. He had to ask Siri and she barely knew. The driver of cab 3309 didn't even speak to me the whole drive. He drove recklessly, weaving in and out of traffic, slamming his brakes, and tailgating. And to top it off, that was the most expensive cab ride I have ever had. When we got to the hotel, he watched me very closely to see what type of tip I was going to give. I didn't want to give him anything, but I messed up and ended up giving him one. He then proceeded to get out of the car, take out my luggage, and leave it on the hotel roadway. He gets back in the car, and when I ask for a receipt, it prints out, and he flings it at me. I literally told him to F@ck off as I got out. We called two days earlier as well as the morning of that day to confirm. We were told that the taxi will be on time. On Wednesday afternoon, October 19, 2022, at 5:15 pm Pacific time, I arranged by telephone to have a Beverly Hills Cab pick me up in front of the medical building at 8920 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills CA 90211. I stood outside of this address for 3 HOURS to no avail. I telephoned the "company" EVERY 20 minutes from 5:15 pm until 7:20 pm. With each call (all routed to India), I was assured that the dispatcher was attempting to find a Beverly Hills Cab to pick me up. As day turned into evening, I went from annoyed to bewildered to angry. Why didn't I call another cab company? Because the search function on my cell phone was not working. After an extremely long flight I opted for this company at LAX because it was much more affordable than taking an Uber literally half the price. In the midst of unloading my bags I somehow left my phone in the backseat. Reaching out to the dispatcher was easier than expected and within 10 minutes I was notified that my driver was returning with my forgotten cell phone. Anyone who has ever forgotten a phone an Uber knows how much of a challenge is to get back how they basically extort you and often times will just steal whatever belongings you foolishly leave behind. I truly appreciate the integrity of the driver the competitive rates and the ease of communicating with dispatch to get my phone back. Do not hire this cab company. The drivers are dangerous and their management could care less. Yesterday afternoon one of their drivers made an illegal right turn, crossing over a lane of moving traffic, and I nearly slammed into them. I noticed the cab had passengers in the backseat. I can only imagine how scared they must have been. I would have T-boned them. My car's emergency system kicked in and luckily my car did an emergency stop. When I called the cab company to inform them of this dangerous driver and the terrible accident that almost happened, I was directed to leave a voicemail. I still haven't heard back. In reading other reviews, I'm seeing a pattern of dangerous and reckless driving. This shows that this company does not properly screen drivers, nor do they care for our welfare as customers. I ordered a car to take me to the airport at 10:30 a.m. The driver arrived and told me that he couldn't take me, but would call for another taxi and wait for me until it came. He called for a replacement and told me it would arrive in a few minutes. I asked him to stay until it came as I did not want to miss my plane. He promised he would but then drove off a few minutes later. The replacement arrived 20 minutes after my original time order and I almost missed my plane. I had the extreme displeasure of riding in Cab 3256 last night (March 24) at appx. 6:30 p.m. from LAX to my home. When I got into the cab and told the driver where we were going, he got very angry and, as we pulled away, started mumbling out loud and pounding his hands against the steering wheel. He was speaking with an accent, so the only thing I could understand was when he would angrily say the name of my town and hit his hands against the steering wheel. As we exited LAX and wound down onto Sepulveda, he looked at me in the rear-view mirror and yelled something at me. I didn't quite hear him, so I repeated what I thought he had said, which was, "What's the word?" He became visibly angry and yelled, "THE WAY! THE WAY! WHAT IS THE WAY!" I said, "Okay, okay. You don't need to yell at me." We merged onto Sepulveda and I explained that he needed to make his way into the left lane toward Lincoln. "I KNOW! I KNOW LINCOLN!" he yelled. At this point, I am a woman traveling alone in a cab with a man I do not know who is becoming angrier and angrier. I calmly responded, "Sir, you asked me to tell you the way. Do you need help getting to my address or not?" He responded, "YES!" I remained very calm with my directions but internally was rattled and felt unsafe with him in the car. When we finally pulled up to my apartment building, I went to run my credit card through the machine in the back seat and he said, "No cash?" I responded, "I'm not using cash, I'm paying with my credit card." "YOU HAVE NO CASH?," he yelled? I responded, "Sir, I don't see any sign in the cab stating this is cash only. And I've never ridden in a Beverly Hills Cab that was cash only." He yanked my credit card out of my hand and began muttering angrily in his native language. I opened the back door at that time because I wanted to get out of the car as quickly as possible. He yelled, "DON'T MOVE. I NEED YOU TO SIGN." I responded, "I know that. I'm just opening the door." My fare was $17 and change. He said, "You must pay $20." I said, "I'm sorry?" He said, "YOU MUST PAY $20. What is tip." I didn't want to give him a tip, but felt unsafe not doing so. "$3," I replied. He said, "On top of the $20?" At that point, I just wanted to get as far away from this individual as possible. "Yes, fine," I said, "fine. Please just run the card." He handed me the receipt, I scribbled quickly, and got out. I grabbed my suitcase from the trunk and walked into my building. I will never take another Beverly Hills Cab. This man is violent and should not be on the roads, nor should he be left alone with a woman in his car. I was afraid to be caught taking a picture of his cab license with his name, but I got a picture of the cab number. My neighbor, in ill health, asked me to accompany her to a medical appointment, pharmacy prescription pick up and flu shot. I offered to drive but she insisted on using Beverly Hills Cab, as it was the last day her taxi vouchers were valid. With reservation, I deferred to her request. Driver #1: Non-communicative, totally rude. Ran yellow/pink lights at break neck speed on Wilshire Boulevard. Refused to accept 10-1 to 10-31-2014 taxi voucher on 10-31-2014. We were late to appointment. Fortunately I had cash, paid the fare plus tip. Driver #2: 15-minutes later to Rite Aid. Got same BS about voucher expiration date. Each voucher is an $11 value; fare was $4.90. Told him to take a close look at the expiration date, as we were not shelling out. I tipped him. Driver #3: 45-minutes later, nicest one of the day was also skeptical about voucher expiration date but took it, even grudgingly honored request to let us out in front my friend's house on her side of the street. I tipped him. Why? Guess even after all experienced, I'm still a lady appreciative of the working class, either that or I'm the biggest sucker out $8. Your tip: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! I booked a reservation for myself and my handicap wheelchair bound mother to go to the westside pavillion on Sunday, Aug. 9th.. we required a van for my mother and Sam the driver picked us up and dropped us off with no problem. Reasonable fair and good drive over. The female dispatcher had told me to work with the driver to make arrangements for the return. I spoke to him about picking us up 4 hours later. He have me his number and agreed on time to pick up. I called him 6 times starting an hour and a half before pick up time. My calls went to voicemail and were never returned. I called dispatch and the same woman answered telling me she has no control over the driver. NO CONTROL? I bevame very upset because i had no way to get my mother home short of walking 5 miles with her in her wheelchair. The ignorant dispatcher hung up on me when i called very upset. This was an 83 year old handicap woman left stranded at the mall and they were closing. Only because of the amazng security guards at the mall were we able to get United Taxi to help us 2 hours later. Im sure the ADA will be heating about this. Beverly Hills Taxi . Here's my review for my experience with the company. I was at LAX to pick up a friend and cab #3420 was picking up someone in the arrivals section. In the 5 minutes I was behind him, I saw him and him alone directly cause around two dozen almost-accidents. Switched 1-3 lanes with no blinkers. Did not check before merging lanes. Almost merged into other cars more often than not. If they weren't paying attention and slamming on their brakes (literally hitting them hard enough to visibly see everyone in the car shoot forward), this asshat would have ran right into them. Did not slow down for pedestrians crossing IN A CROSSWALK. If they didn't stop, they would have been street pancakes. Going DOUBLE the speed limit in the pick-up lanes. Instead of zippering when 2 lanes merged, he physically contacted the van in front of him. Not hard, which is why they didn't do anything about it, but he was not going to let anyone in front of him. I'm glad he got that extra 1 car length up, it really helped when he hit the Sepulveda tunnel and a line of about 40 cars. He also almost hit the car that was supposed to zipper in front of him, as well as cutting off the car in the next lane he merged into, illegally (the solid white line means the end of your lane, the dotted white line means it's okay to merge - merging during the solid white line is illegal), and the shuttle bus he tried to cut off. Weaving in and out of lanes through the Sepulveda tunnel with no blinkers and jerky motions. Thank God everyone else on the road was paying attention. I hope there was no one inside the cab, I would have been pissing myself if I had that ride. Oh, and I called the company to let them know about the driver? The dude was 100% reading/mumbling from a scripted card, saying oh, yea, so much trouble with this guy, I don't know what I'm going to do, oh my God, thank you for the report, we'll follow up. Sounded like he was about to fall asleep from not caring. The management doesn't care about their dangerous and probably deadly drivers, as long as they're getting paid. There is no respect to the customers to put them in these dangerous situations and even less respect to the public. Having these nut cases driving like this and breaking dozens of laws every minute is insane. And if that wasn't enough, he was making the rest of the drivers on the road mad. I saw a few of them try and cut him off. Yea, it's a really crappy and dangerous thing for the other drivers to do, but ultimately it was caused by the cab driver. It seems like if you take a ride with this company, you will have other drivers targeting your vehicle to, at a minimum, scare the driver and at worse, run it off the road with you inside. Seriously DO NOT TAKE THIS CAB COMPANY. If you value you life and your health, do not take it. You'll be putting your life at risk. A 20 mph collision can cause lifelong nerve and tissue damage and even kill you. I called from my home at 6:30 to request a cab. They said it would arrive in 10 to 15 minutes. I called back at the fifteen minute mark and was told it would take another five minutes. I called back fifteen minutes after that and was told the cab was at the airport. I live 20-25 minutes from the airport in good traffic. I understand now why Uber is eating these guys' lunch. I would give this company no stars if it was possible. Yesterday I reserved a cab for a woman who requires a wheelchair van. She is a newly paralyzed senior citizen going out of her assisted living facility to her son and his family for Thanksgiving. I let the Cab company know she needed to be picked up from her son's house to return to the Facility between 6:45 and 7:00 pm and they confirmed they could accommodate. I was given a confirmation number. Tonight the cab did not arrive by 7:00 pm and the family called Beverly Hills Cab company. They were told there was no confirmation number and that they could not transport this woman this evening. The family was given another number to try. This company could come, perhaps in 2 hours. The family then contacted me for assistance. I called the Beverly Hills Cab Company and tried to find out how to get a cab out for this woman. I was feeling quite distressed. She can only sit up for a few hours and it is impossible to transfer her from her chair without a special lift. She also needs medications. Finding transportation for a wheelchair on Thanksgiving is almost impossible. Operator 17 got upset and hung up on me. I called back and he kept me on hold. I called him again using another phone. He answered and this time he told me that he took the reservation and made it for the wrong day. Since I had given my number as the contact number, I asked why they never called me yesterday when they went to pick her up and she wasn't there--obviously a lie. I asked to speak with the dispatcher. He wanted me to know they can't ever confirm a wheelchair cab. I asked why I was give a confirmation number. He couldn't answer that. Instead, he defended himself and the bad job they did. Instead, he should have immediately offered to help find an alternative transportation service. Of course he didn't do that. I will do everything possible for people to know that this company should never be used to transport someone who NEEDS to get somewhere. Horrible cabbies. I've used them 5 or 6 times. Either they are horribly late or they're early and leave. I've spoken to supervisors who apologize, but blame the cabbies or the operators. And even though they accept credit cards for $10 or more, the cabbies throw a fit when you use a card. AVOID this cab service. Yellow cab is much easier, so far always on time and they don't care if you use a credit card. read more
