My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. As we first walked in, we were greeted by a very young hostess that seemed inexperienced and nervous. We waited at the bar for our table to be ready and the bartenders were very busy and took a while to get our drink order in. We were seated in a side room off the bar that felt detached from the rest of the restaurant. Food was great, but service was very slow. Our waiter, although nice, seemed overworked, therefore was not as attentive as we would have expected him to be at a restaurant like this. The wife and I are still here, having just polished off our 20 ounce bison ribeye steak. It was magnificent! She started with a cold fall harvest salad and I had the the beet salad. Both were excellent and very fresh and all ingredients extremely flavorful with proper textures and colors. She had the sourdough and I had the orange roll. The orange roll was also spectacular. We are from San Francisco so the sourdough was underwhelming but this is a problem everywhere we go outside of San Francisco. The bison ribeye steak was ordered medium rare. It was leaner than a regular ribeye which worked out to be excellent. I don't think I would want bison if it were not a ribeye because it would be too lean for my taste. But this cut was amazing and the wife thought so too. The meat was tender, the fat was crispy on the outside, and nicely seasoned. It was neither overly juicy nor dry but a perfect medium between the two. We both agreed the bison had a unique flavor that was not gamy; familiar to beef yet not the same. The steak came properly prepared and within about 20 minutes of our order. This is very good for a Sunday evening with the restaurant about 2/3 full. Our server Trent made the whole experience that much better being attentive without being intrusive. We look forward to our next visit back! read more

We arrived and after waiting 15 minutes to be seated, we were as far from the windows as possible. The views of the lake are magnificent. The server was friendly, helpful and attentive. I ordered the halibut. It was a good piece of fish that was just a bit overcooked, but the embellishments made it a very tasty meal. I would have preferred more kale and less potato, but I understand that many do not share that inclun. I think there were cooked radishes also, and they were really good. For dessert I ordered the Basque Cheesecake. The cake itself was compact and not too sweet -- a classic New York style. There was plenty of sweetness in the cherry and cream toppings. read more

My 3rd meal at Beverly's the past 4 years, and not my best. It's still a wonderful experience, but the service and food quality has slipped a bit. We ate in the lounge since you don't need a reservation. The lake view and furnishings are incredible. It was our server's first night and she did great, but we had to ask for the status of a few of our dishes based on the wait. Tried to pair wine with each course, but the wait made that tough. The food quality, especially the entrees is superb and worthy of the high prices. The only exception was the oysters that were served dry without the brine that enhances the complexity. We had the small seafood tower, wedge salad, and the bison ribeye, which was one of the better cuts of meat I've ever had. My son had the Nilgai antelope which was even better than the bison. If you want to splurge in CDA Beverly's is still where you go to do it. read more

There are so many highlights that make this a 5-star visit. I will start with the beautiful evening on the lake, with the sun glistening off the water. Then I will move to the wonder (although a little dated) dining room; it feels bigger than it is (it's quite intimate). The menu and wine menu are on iPads (not sure why), but it was fun. Other dishes at the table were the hot rock filet (on fire!), the scallops, prawns, baked Brie, mushroom soup with truffle foam, and the peanut butter bomb for dessert. Everyone was thrilled with what they ordered, and tried bites of one another's food and loved it all. The orange rolls were soooo good! How on Earth does Beverly's not have a solid 5 star rating on Yelp?! What more do people want?! Everything during my visit to Beverly's for my sister's birthday was beyond fantastic! First things first, the view. You're on the (lucky) 7th floor overlooking the CDA Lake! The interior is also clean, well appointed and the fixtures are modern/elegant. You also might even see a goose or two walking around on the window ledge. Next, the service. Our server was absolutely fantastic! Super friendly. Answered all of our questions. Refilled beverages without them going dry. He was punctual and attentive and checked on us enough to take care of us without being overbearing. The menus here are on an ipad, which has the benefit of you being able to click on an entree you are interested in and seeing a video display of what it looks like and how it is presented. It's a nice touch and feels classy while also getting you more excited than pictures do on traditional menus. The food and drinks were excellent. We had an order of humus for the table to start. We ended up eating all the accompanying bread with some hummus still to spare and our server brought us some more dipping bread, on the house. I had a cup of the lobster bisque which is something I do not recommend passing up. It was very delicious and not overly creamy, as some bisques tend to be. I also recommend taking them up on their offer to add some pepper to the bisque. It really kicks it up a notch. I ordered the Stone Fire Steak as my entree. The presentation when it arrived was quite the show. Our server poured the peppercorn sauce onto the steak and the whole plate lit up in flames. Pretty neat pyro display! The steak itself was delicious. My only semi complaint was that I ordered it medium rare and it seemed like half was medium rare (red center) and half was medium (pink center). Despite this, the steak was still ridiculously delicious and I'd highly recommend it. The steak itself was flanked on the plate by mushrooms, potatoes and a carrot, all of which were cooked to perfection. After the meal, my sister was presented with an ice cream, chocolate and cotton candy dessert complete with a firework sparkler roosted on top. It was another dazzling display and a great celebratory complimentary dessert. In addition to the birthday dessert, we ordered a creme brulee, which also tasted excellent and was a great dessert to end the meal with. All in all, Beverly's was everything we could have asked for, both in a meal and for a birthday celebration. We weren't alone as we saw several other birthday desserts come out for guests throughout the evening. I will say the meal is a bit costly, as to be expected with a fine dining establishment, but I can whole heartedly state you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying for quality. Give Beverly's a try if you're visiting, celebrating an event or just want a nice romantic meal with someone special. It won't disappoint. read more

As a longtime customer of Beverly's, we've tried almost everything on the menu. Beverly's is an excellent "date night" option and the best one to provide a true experience in Coeur d'Alene. Beverly's has the ability to provide a sophisticated experience with Chef Taylor in the kitchen. On the appetizer menu you will find everything from Kobe beef carpaccio with a light and airy mouse with capers that add a pop of acidity for the more adventurous; to staples like prawn cocktail and baked Brie. For large gatherings, there are larger plate options like the sliced Snake River Farms Tomahawk Ribeye. Entrees are varied with a variety of "on the land" or "of the sea" options and desserts are a wonderful way to end the meal. For a variety of beverages, Beverly easily has the best wine menu in Coeur d'Alene. Their experienced wine sommeliers can guide you or the electronic menu allows a variety of notes to be written to help you chose your wine with information instead of guesswork. They continue their craft in cocktails with an epic cherry smoked old fashion. Service is slow, exactly as you should want for a dining experience. Beverly's is best with the expectations of a fine dining experience. While the restaurant can absolute accommodate quick service, you may be dissatisfied with the price point. If you plan to dine at Beverly's, in my view, you should feel comfortable at conservative $150 pp. read more

Wanted to spend some quality time with my beautiful wife so decided to do something special and try Beverly's for the first time. Here is how I would break it down for you: Atmosphere - 5 stars - beautiful views of the lake and Christmas lights. Staff - 5 stars - Very busy but you can tell they truly enjoy what they do from the hostess, bussers, and waiter they all did great. Drinks - 4 stars - good seasonal specials and the smoked old fashioned was delicious but just a smidge over priced in my opinion. Still fun experience however! Food - This is where they lost me. Appetizers - Shrimp cocktail - 4 star - 4 shrimp with pickled veggies spread around a large plate. Shrimp was well cooked and the cocktail sauce amazing. Salad - 4 star - Love the Beverly's Caesar. Entrees- 2 star- Halibut was very small for the price and extremely dry and I had to use the clam broth to help add some life back into it. I was pretty disappointed because I love a well cooked halibut and this sadly wasn't. Prime rib - my wife had the prime rib special and thought it was fine. But fine isn't what I anticipated when i chose to go to one of the best restaurants in the area. Dessert - 4.5 star - Salted caramel peanut butter cheesecake. AMAZING!!! It was a perfect blend of peanut butter and caramel! 5 stars easy! Crème brûlée- 4 stars. Was again a basic crème brûlée, custard was very good but the crust had a little too much alcohol for my wife's taste. So long story short on any future plans to try Beverly's, we would go for drinks and dessert again but probably skip the overpriced oh-hum meal next time we want a special night out in CDA. read more

I was in town visiting my family over the weekend to celebrate my sister's graduation and they made reservations to Beverly's as this is the place to go for fine dining between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. The hotel was packed with couples and families coming in to celebrate the holidays. Getting up to the restaurant was a bit of a trek since there's only a couple elevators and a lot of people going up to the hotel or the restaurant or bar. Since our reservations were early we were able to get a seat next to the window to watch the boats taking people out on the dinner cruise with all the holiday lights and the dragon blowing fire each time a boat would pass. The staff and our service was excellent. Our server was informative and he entertaining. I should have ordered the chicken because that was amazing, probably some of the best fried chicken with the sauce I've ever had. I would pass on the seafood special, the halibut was dry and the prawn wasn't that special either. The jet fresh tuna had more flavor than the special, loved the sesame seeds on the crust. For the dining experience you'd think ever dish would be outstanding, I just happened to choose one that was less than standard. The cotton candy dessert is a fun show dessert, it's been years since eating cotton candy. Fun way to end an evening. read more

We celebrated our anniversary at Beverly's while on vacation this week. We didn't ask for a table by the window but got one and it is definitely not something to miss. It is a beautiful site! My husband I both started with the French Onion Soup. It's not something either of us usually order but it was a bit chilly in the restaurant and we thought it sounded good. It hit the spot for both of us and really warmed us up. The soup paired nicely with the orange roll we chose. You had the option of a sourdough roll - but trust me - go with the decadent orange roll. It is like dessert but a rarity in a restaurant. My husband got the Honey Fried Chicken and it was a work of beauty. The truffle honey on top was the star with the chicken. I loved mashed potatoes, but the chicken was perfectly cooked and made the meal. He and I would highly recommend it. I got the scallops and also thought it was delicious and definitely a dish to recommend. We were full by the end that was just used our wine as a dessert and enjoyed the view. Beverly's is always a great place for dinner. The staff is very efficient and service is top-notch. If you have the time, schedule a tour of their Wine Cellar, it's one of the largest around and they carry wines from all over the world! The tour starts at 4:30pm so arrive early to get on their list. After our tour, which included a tasting of a couple of South American wines; a crisp Albariño from Uruguay and a delicious Argentinian Malbec, we were seated for dinner--ask for table with a view of the lake. The Carpaccio appetizer was quite excellent, very thinly sliced and a meal in itself. The Halibut was superb, expertly cooked and the sauce subtle but tasty. I also had the Iceberg Wedge, which surprisingly had an abundance of flavors that made want more. Overall an excellent meal, nice ambiance, and even better service. We'll be back. read more

Very disappointed in the service we received from The Coeur d Alene Resorts Food & Beverage Management. We dined at Beverly's on Sunday and had a good dinner and service was good as well. However, never did we expect that our credit cards would be used to not only pay for our dinner but other diners dinners as well. The credit card was run (6) times to pay for various charges unrelated to our dinner. I have been trying to resolve this with no apologies or answers from the resort or the management (Summer & Jordan) to what happened that evening. All they can say is they are looking into it. This is now five days after our dinner and I have still yet to see these charges which were over $ 1700.00 in fraudulent charges reversed from the credit card as them seem to lack care when entrusted with your credit cards or security. My advice is to watch your bills closely when dining at Beverly's and then watch your credit card statement. Very disappointed in how this has been handled with no care or apologies from the Resort or Restaurant Management. read more

This may be a once-a-year restaurant for birthdays and/or anniversaries, so I come here about two or three times a year because we spend $300+ each time. Everything about this restaurant is five stars, so dress accordingly. However, "you get what you pay for" is real here. You cannot find a better and more excellent restaurant anywhere in Idaho; that's a fact. They have the best wine list for 1000 miles in any direction. I've had the Grilled pork loin, Truffle honey fried chicken, and Hot rock Filet Mignon (GET THIS), but my absolute favorite? The Bone in Tomahawk ribeye for $200, and WORTH IT. Get the Ol' Smokey with it, plus a bottle of the insane amount of red cabs they have! Follow all this up with their Creme Brulee or salted Carmel Chocolate....do it. You will not be disappointed! It is an older restaurant but super nice, clean, inviting and food is amazing!! We had 2pm lunch reservations the Friday prior to Valentines. We were seated almost immediately after arriving. We sat by the windows overlooking the river. Our hostess was super nice and accommodating. Food was amazing! Pricy but worth it for our special day. And those views of the lake were beautiful! Made a reservation for Beverly's about 3 weeks ago, only because I am from Spokane and I wanted a guaranteed table when we were in CDA. We came in about 10 mins early to our reservation and were told to wait for our table, which was not a problem for us. However, what I did appreciate was that two waiters came and asked us if they could get us something to drink (water, an alcoholic beverage) while we waited. I really did appreciate that hospitality, even as we were waiting. We were shown to our table with a gorgeous view of the CDA lake. The ambiance of the restaurant was so incredibly classy and beautiful. Our server was very very polite and very helpful in explaining to us the dishes and the wines. We were immediately given our menus which are on iPads, and I chose to get a glass of the Saracco Moscato ($9; which if you love sweet wine, get this!!) and my husband got the ginger and pear martini ($13; the ginger is more prevalent than the pear). My husband is not a wine drinker, but he expressed multiple times throughout the night that he was in love with my glass of wine. For an appetizer, we shared the calamari ($18) with an Asian zest. Some of the best calamari we have had in a while. The sweet chili sauce was my favorite and the aioli was my husband's favorite. It came with Asian slaw on the bottom, in a fried rice paper bowl that was really good with the sweet chili sauce. We were highly impressed at this point. Our entrees came out and the plating was phenomenal. So much attention to detail. I got the filet mignon ($48) and replaced the mashed potatoes with lobster mashed potatoes. This was a $15 up charge. My husband got the ribeye ($46) with horseradish mashed potatoes. The only complaint we had was that the horseradish mashed potatoes were too overpowering, almost spicy. We expressed this to our waitress and gave my husband a side of regular mashed potatoes. It was very kind of her to understand what position we were in. I also think the sauce on the steak should come as an option if it can be on the side or not. But overall the food was very tasty and the steaks were cooked perfectly. During our entrees, there was a waitress serving a choice between sourdough bread or a croissant with orange zesty sauce on it. Both were very good and very fresh. Dessert was next, and we shared a piece of the peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake with peanut brittle. ($12) WE LOVED THIS. Absolutely amazed with the flavor and the perfect way to end the night. Our waitress offered us a half bottle of the moscato for $18, which we agreed and took a bottle home. Overall, beverly's had a great ambiance, great service and amazing food and drinks. They put us at a table literally in front of the kitchen, it was warm and noisy with people constantly walking behind us and far from "romantic " and we got a view of a pole instead of the lake. The food was just ok, I had the gnocchi and my husband the halibut, mine was bland and needed salt.
