Everyone is friendly and personable and talks to you like a friend they just saw last month, not just a couple times a year. They don't try to sell you thing you don't need or make you replace fillings before it needs to be done. It doens't (and never has) felt like a money grab where they tell you to do things that you don't need to get done. Unless you want to, I mean they won't talk you out of a teeth whitening if that's what you want. LOL The parking lot is a bit of the pain since it's one lane so you have to be careful to follow the rules and let the traffic coming in have the right of way, but you get used to it! At least there's parking, for free. You're not paying in a garage so there's that, and that means something in downtown WeHa. Highly recommend if you're looking for a dental practice!

A Root Canal... That I'd Actually Go Back For? Yes!…read more I never thought I'd be writing a positive review about a root canal, but here we are. I had some urgent dental work done by my regular dentist in Longmeadow, MA, who found a cavity under a crown that required removal and ultimately a root canal. Unfortunately, I'm recently retired and, like many in that boat, have little to no dental coverage. UnitedHealthcare offered no help, so I knew I was looking at an out-of-pocket expense--and I wasn't thrilled. I spent the better part of an afternoon calling around to various endodontists, explaining that my dentist had already diagnosed the issue and I just needed the procedure. But many insisted on separate consultation visits and couldn't see me for another 2-3 weeks. Meanwhile, I was in serious pain with an exposed tooth. Then I called Dr. Christopher Carrington's office in Hartford, which was a little farther than I hoped to travel--but it turned out to be the best decision I could've made. The office staff was professional and understanding. Despite having no insurance, they were transparent about the costs and, best of all, they fit me in the very next day. From the moment I walked in, Dr. Carrington put me at ease. He welcomed me warmly, explained every step of what was about to happen, and made the environment far less intimidating with a great sense of humor. (I actually had to ask if he was the doctor--he was that personable.) While there was some trial-and-error in dialing in the right amount of Novocaine (he didn't skimp on comfort once he got it right!), the rest of the procedure went incredibly smoothly. He worked with efficiency and care, explaining everything as he went. My tooth, it turns out, was more complicated than average--three roots with twists and turns--but he handled it expertly. No one ever wants to get a root canal, but if you do need one, I genuinely cannot recommend Dr. Carrington highly enough. He took a stressful, painful situation and turned it into something manageable--almost pleasant, believe it or not. Thank you, Dr. Carrington and team--you've earned my respect, and if needed, I'll be back (hopefully not too soon!).

During covid, my back tooth cracked, a crown broke, it was just all not good. Going to see Dr. Salesky and his team was the smartest thing I've done. Judgement free and an amazing staff. The first thing he asked me is "what don't I like about my smile". At first I was a bit surprised since the back of my mouth needed help but I told him one of my teeth looks discolored. Well not only did Dr. Selensky and his team jump into action repairing the back teeth but before I left, he had adjusted the shade of my front area tooth and it was like a gift. Gentle, kind, patient and so very thoughful. That is for everyone in the office. They all go above and beyond. Simply amazing. My message: Don't be afraid, just call and I know you will feel the same way. I've been with him now for a few years and he takes his time discussing options, your choice always and while my teeth were not in amazing shape, I trusted him and today I left there with tears in my eyes because my smile had never looked better. Another office recommended very pricey implants or a flipper, and would not take her insurance. Dr. Bascetta was able to do a bridge, and it looks so real! Darlene, the office manager, has been going overboard to get the insurance to cover it. It's still unresolved, but they didn't wait to treat the problem! My mother has Alzheimer's, and the patience and care they've given her has been so kind! They also take Medicare supplemental plans like WellCare, which isn't easy to find!

Now, knowing their office had my insurance information for some time, I was a little shocked and now requested something showing where this extra money now owed came from. I was informed they could not provide anything in writing that they were verbally told by the insurance company of this amount. I was beyond perplexed and needed a little more explanation, just wasn't going to pay them another $500.00 with no written explanation, to which I was placed on an abrupt hold and a "lovely" person, Scott, who apparently is the "office manager" picked up the line and made it clear he was beyond irritated and NOT happy that he had to speak to me about this, me being his potential patient. He went on to be the absolute rudest individual I've dealt with in a professional setting in a very long time. He was unprofessional, RUDE, argumentative, talked over me, and made it clear he hates his job and also made it very known I was a complete nuisance and annoyance to him, again, a potential patient and him, the office manager who should be more well versed in customer service. On the day before the procedure, someone from the office called to confirm the appointment. After the procedure was done, my cost share changed without anyone telling me in advance. The person that called a day prior should have informed me of the exact cost share, especially since it changed from my original estimate. The fact they didn't isn't good business at all. That's not a good way to treat a patient. On top of all that, when I told the person what I was told initially, she coldly said "it was only an estimate and if the insurance pays more, you'll get a refund... If the insurance company pays less, you'll get a bill". NOT a good experience at all with the front desk/billing people. On the other hand, Dr. Andrea Fiori did awesome work and is the best. My advice, train/retrain the front desk and billing people on how to treat customers.
