I just have to say that this is my go to BevMo location. The store is always clean, organized, and the staff have always been super friendly and helpful. I wanted to note Ruth, one of the staff there, she's always smiling and makes you feel comfortable. She's helped me find a lot of my now favorite drinks and always has great suggestions! Good ol' BevMo. This liquor store chain was once my favorite when I lived in Southern California, but I've found that there's a different one that's a little bigger and better that rhymes with Motile Spine (OK, a slant rhyme). This BevMo has some great things, even if the store itself is a little small. I found a wine with Tupac and Snoop Dogg on it! I also found a couple of great bourbons that I could not find where I live in the Midwest, and so I also bought a couple of bottle protectors, because I would be taking them home with me on my flight home. It really helps, price-wise, if you have a BevMo membership, which is free to sign up. I used to have one, but mine lapsed since leaving SoCal. So the prices I paid for my things were about average. The "Mo" in BevMo means they have more than just liquor, beer and wine. They also have snacky things, candy, barware, and even a few nonalcoholic drinks. But mostly, you will find aisles of great adult beverages. This is a fun place to wander and see what catches your eye. read more

I always enjoy going to BevMo. It is like a Toys R Us for audits. Love walking through the clean aisles looking for booze that catches my eye. The beer section always have local favorites mixed with classics and brews off the beaten path. I went with the Allagash Curieux which is my favorite beer of all time. I have never seen a great bottle of bourbon here (Blanton's, Weller, Pappy, Elmer, Fitz, etc) which is odd because the Vons nearby always has Blanton's. I opt for vodka which is cheap and can typically get more bang for your buck. Sobieski is $13 and is better than/you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from Crystal Skull and Grey Goose vodka(BUT ThOSe BoTtLeS aRe SoOoO cOoL). After shopping in Trader Joe's and Stater Brothers we decided to stop at BevMo. I visited it long time ago, nothing changed. One issue for me - a senior citizen with mobility issues- no shopping cart is provided? Another one - city of Carlsbad required $0.30 for a paper bag (it explains all the shoppers getting bottle or two and just carried it out). Next time I will use my own bag, but still no shopping carts? One lonely guy doing both cashier and stock person duties and I'm not even sure, he got my BevMo card number in. We were in the vicinity and dropped by to get something. The guy at the cashier was not very smiley. My husband asked for the password for wifi, and he kinda just pointed to the sign on the wall. I knew what i was looking for, but my husband didn't and needed to look it up and show what we were looking for. The cashier just pointed to the wall and said, "Look there." I didn't get the feeling he appreciated being asked about it. The vibe I got was that he was rude. We eventually did find it in the aisle he pointed to. He says I'm not sure, but if it is here, it'd be down this aisle. My experience at other bevmo shops were way better. Luckily, when we checked out, it was the other sweet ladies. I think the other sweet ladies made our day being polite and smiley. A word for the manager: Remember to instill in your staff the adage service with a smile. Bottom Line: Clean and organized store with a good selection of beer, wine, booze, cigars, supplies, etc. I cruised into this new-ish BevMo in "The Square at Bressi Ranch" shopping center to grab something to take to a small holiday gathering. Since I wanted to keep it easy I perused the large selection of spiked seltzer waters and cocktails in a can. I was impressed with all of the options and ultimately left with a cold Truly Holiday Party Pack although I was also tempted by some of the Cutwater cocktails. I didn't get to look around too much but the two aisles I explored were organized and the store seemed clean. Aside from paying for my purchase I didn't have any interactions with the staff - no greeting, no offer to help, etc. but I don't expect much these days between COVID, staffing shortages and customer service being a lost art. I was disappointed to read so many other Yelp reviews here about horrible customer service and I am thankful I wasn't subjected to that! Parking in this shopping center at meal time is dismal but fortunately I was able to duck in right when they opened at 9am. read more

Decent selection (for a smaller location), attractive prices, and the staff are ALWAYS helpful and personable; two instances where the staff truly went above and beyond to help me make an informed selection. Why only two stars? Because every time I go in (at least weekly during quarantine) it's always new faces. This place (and the Encinitas location too, unfortunately) are gristmills that crank through employees. The "JOIN OUR TEAM" sign has been displayed for months. Upon arrival, I was told I had to create an account on their app, pay for my items and then they would bring them out to me due to covid. I sat on the side and started doing that. Meanwhile, I noticed other customers just walked right in. When I questioned it, the worker named ALEXIS said they know them and that's why they're allowed to come in because they come in all the time. How am I a different customer? I shop there all the time but bc ALEXIS didn't know me personally she treated me like I was trash. Shame on them for treating customers the way they did. This BevMo is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Located in The Square at Bressi Ranch, you will find everything you'll typically find at other locations. We went in to take advantage of their Grand Opening $10 coupon and was able to stock up on some liquor and beer that we tend to keep on hand at home. The store layout was straight forward and labeled accordingly so you can find what you were looking for easily. There was a lot of staff on hand to point you in the right direction if you needed assistance. I didn't need to get any wine on this visit so I didn't browse to confirm they carry the same brands I typically buy at the Encinitas location, but fingers crossed they do so I don't have to make separate trips. With this addition to the neighborhood, I can pretty much do all my shopping in Carlsbad now. No more stops to Encintas and I'm pleased I can support businesses close to home. YES! read more

First, I completely avoid the BevMo in Encinitas off ECR. It's dirty, smells like stale beer and the parking lot really sucks. The new one that open in Bressi Ranch is all shiny and clean. Staff is friendly and much more helpful than any other BevMo I've been to. The proximity to Bird Rock coffee helps too. One of my biggest gripes about most shopping centers in SoCal is the parking lots are horrible! This one is far better than most. I always find parking and the size of the spaces seem normal. That may change as all the retail spaces get filled up, but for now, this is the BevMo I'll be visiting. read more

DO NOT go to this location. Worst customer service ever !! My husband was just trying to buy cherries and they accused him of giving them a fake id. They let him check out and after he already put his card in the man checking him out canceled the transaction without saying anything and left the register then the manager came over and said they won't serve him. We've never had any issues at the other locations. All of this over some cherries it's absolutely ridiculous. read more

I love this new Bevmo! The location is super convenient. Parking is a breeze, the staff were so welcoming! Each asked if they could help us find anything as they passed by us while we were eyeing every bottle in the store! It was tough to choose what to buy on our first trip. The selection is crazy good! We spent probably at least an hour here, then made our purchase and happily made our way home. Cannot wait to return! ***REPORTED TO BEVMO CORPORATE*** 1. Was consistent repeat customer before Saturday 4.13.19 (approx $150-200/month) 2. Extremely dissatisfied with 4 different types of sour beers vs. the usual consistent Stone White Geist that had previously ordered. One of the 4 was dreadfully putrid and the other 3 types made me sick/vomit/lethargic of which I have not experienced in years from alcohol. It is 2 days later and I am still feeling ill from the product purchased from Bevmo Friday and refused refund. 3. Called Bevmo Oceanside regarding return and was told to bring in receipt and product and they would take care of me. 4. Bressi Ranch declined a refund period on any product despite my advising them Oceanside location agreed to. 5. Only received a refund on 1 pack of sour beer at Oceanside despite being told on phone "they would take care of me." This was after much maneuvering. 6. Upon returning home CONTACTED BEVMO CORPORATE advising them situation - either they can make good or lose a previous $1,000-1,500/yr customer value over $55 order. I advised BEVMO CORPORATE of how the Bressi Ranch location treated a consistent volume now "Former" customer. 7. Based on the inferior customer service and Oceanside backtracking on what they told me only 1.5hrs before arrival I am NEVER EVER AGAIN going to FREQUENT BEVMO PERIOD. Anyone with business sense can lookup customer in database see their buying volume and make a sound business decision to lose cash cow or make good. Then there are others, like *ELLE P* who let the word essential go to there head and can't fallow a simple COVID protocol. People like her are the reasons the beaches closed. It's worse! Today, I stopped by to pick up a bottle of bourbon and the A-Hole at the door said that I needed to order it online. They don't let you in the store and I tried to tell him that I knew exactly what I wanted, but he could care less. He said I needed to order it online. The staff at Bevmo in Bressi Ranch is fast, efficient and friendly -- everything you want during a pandemic. The staff keeps all the curbside picks moving safely and quickly. Stay away from this BevMo! Had nothing but headaches and the worse customer service from this location in trying to become a member. Total chaos when they opened. They gave me a paper form to fill out. I filled it out and came back two weeks later. I wasn't in the system, was told it could take another 30 days. Went in today ( now 3 months out), still not in the system. Got no discount, so ended up paying more for a six-pack than Vons! I was told than they never used paper forms. Called store later and got the same runaround by a rude BevMo employee on the phone. These people need training on how to satisfy their customers.
