Based on Kali D. review, I've fallen in love with one of their 5 cent deals, Unruly Cab. Not all their wine are cheap. You can compare prices first. I don't find Bevmo! has the place with the best prices unless it's on sale. I would not consider myself an expert by any means, so I'm glad there's a Bevmo! near me. Went inside with my brother, and asked the employees if they had an extra mask seeing as they all had disposable masks on, but they didn't. I asked if I could cover my face with my collar (a poor alternative, yes, but I just wanted to grab a beer in mind), but they said I would have to take my sweater off, and tie it around my head. I was only wearing A see through undershirt underneath, so that wasn't an option. I instead waited outside on a video call to show my brother which one to grab, and when he had to pay, his ID was expired, though legitimate. Great location. Seriously, I've never encountered a better bevmo. Why? The service. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted. They will come assist you and answer your questions. I know - I know! Everyone has probably already yelped loudly about the BevMo! in their area -- if they have ever sought out their sort of wares... I for one, found the name a bit off, and had earlier proclaimed, "I doubt I'll ever shop there!" Besides, our regular liquor store guys always ordered anything not stocked, if there was a need. After one visit to BevMo!, I sadly realized I never knew how needy I really am - in the booze department. BevMo! has every liqueur/brew/infusion/potion/concoction I have ever wanted, ordered, or dreamt about. And, it is all heavily stocked on orderly and easy to reach shelves, in an equally clean and bright store. The Staff was very friendly and helpful, so of course I signed up for the ClubBev! card. (A frequent drinker system that rewards with special club prices and accumulates points for future savings.) Additionally, there is the promise of a 5% saving award for Club Members upon spending over $250.00. A lady checking out ahead of me had about 30 bottles of assorted libations, and she was using a discount coupon, which looked as though she had printed it herself via email. Admittedly, the atmosphere at the BevMo! cannot rival that of Lucas Winery, nestled in an graceful Lodi vineyard; another beverage supply chain where I enjoy "club membership." Nevertheless, before my second trip, I ordered from home in my bathrobe. Got ready for the day, drove to the BevMo!, and picked up my prepaid order. Hmmm -- "Booze-To-Go, and it's all a done deal! If pricing weren't a factor, I would give BevMo 5 stars! Their selection is good, the employees are really helpful, and they have a ton of novelty/gift items that are sometimes hard to resist. A good selection of snacks, all of which I feel are over priced. Many of the items can be purchased at a local grocery store for a fraction of the price. I guess you're paying for convenience. I think that they mark up alcohol pricing just so that they can "mark it down" and make you feel good about getting a deal. As for wine... you can get much better deals at the Nugget and at Safeway. Both places offer 10% off when you buy six bottles or more, even if it's on sale. Beer... again, not the best pricing or selection. If it's on sale, then it's usually comparable to the competitive grocery stores and one-stop stores. Liquor... comparable or slightly more than other stores. One thing that seems to draw people in, which you have to be careful of, is the 5 cent wine sale. This is where I feel that the wine is jacked-up in price just so they can make it a "sale" item. This store is smaller than the Natomas one. Overall store has great collection of every type of liquor and beverage. I was able to find my Limit edition bottle of alcohol here unexpected =) while looking for some gift for a friend. The Staff here are like walking zombies =) When you try to look for them they play hide and seek. This place is pretty not bad. My boyfriend and his family were looking for alcohol to buy for his brother's wedding and this was the place to go! We bought Hennesy for $24 which was the cheapest out of all of the stores like Costco and Foodsco. They have a club card and everytime you spend you get 5% off. We spent over like $250. I wasn't sure the exact price but we got $40 off of our bill for signing up for the club card. They have a wide selectioon of alcohol. I would reccomend coming here if you can't find something at your local supermarket or liqour store. They also have the small little cute bottles which are soooo freakin adorable! Sometimes they have buy one and get the second one for .05 cents. Yep i said it, and i'll say it again, Buy 1 for reg price and get the second bottle for .05 cents. Ha, yupp. . . I'm Yelping a liquor store. It's come to this. This has to be my favorite Bevmo location-- and I've been to plenty. I work as an Activity Director nearby. This means that I am always coming in, filling my cart with copious amounts of alcohol and nonalcoholic alcohol (ha, yeah, it's a thing) for Happy Hours and other events at my Community. You would think they would have judged me by my frequency, but nope! They are always helpful, they always ask if I need assistance with all of my booze, they are happy to show me where a specific brand of something is, etc. Very glad this place is so close to work. I had worked in the grocery business for 3 years, so I know the procedure on asking to see peoples id if they appeared to be under a certain age. Every time that I have come into this location, I have gotten nothing but bad attitudes and rudeness when it came to my turn to pay for the items I was there to purchase and the process of me getting my ID out to show them that I am of legal age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. I am a frequent customer at many Bevvies but normaly in the Bay Area. Out of a handful of times going to this location while visiting I have been disappointed without fail. None of my favourite wines are ever in stock, Their variety for Australia/New Zealand wines is always poor in comparison with the Bevvies I normally go to. And almost always when I go in the lines are completely rediculous like they have noobs working them. When asked if I had "found everything all right" the last time I went in I said "No, everything I wanted was either not in stock or not carried here. I'm glad I live in San Jose." Since three year ago, I noticed that they put out a new designed Hennessy gift box during the Christmas season. I usually buy it at Costco since it's cheaper there. However, this year - they didn't have it at Costco. Maybe, since they sell the 1.75 liters bottle at Costco now - they don't sell the regular 750 ml bottle (gift box) anymore. Well, at least they have it at BevMo - $26.99. Usually the gift box comes with a 750 ml Hennessy bottle with a small 50 ml bottle of Hennessy Privilege, but this year it came with a small 50 ml bottle of Hennessy Black. No a fan of the Hennessy Black, but the box was must cuter this year. read more

Drive a little further and go to Total Wine and More! Total Wine and more has a far superior selction and much cheaper prices. I usually make the trip to Total Wine on Arden if I have the time, but being that I live in Elk Grove, every now and then I don't have the time and just stop by BevMo. Don't get me wrong, BevMo has a good selection and very friendly/helpful employees. On average I would guess that bottles of alcohol are at least a couple to a few dollars cheaper at Total Wine. If you're only buying one though, and don't want to drive, BevMo might be a better choice for the convenience factor. About three months ago I picked up a BevMo keg list for my kegorator. For Super Bowl weekend I ordered a 1/4 keg of Trumer Pils, listed at $90 at BevMo. The keg is $88 at Total Wine, but I didn't want to make the drive. When I went to BevMo to pick up the keg, they charged me 103 for the keg. They had a new keg list that had just come out in the past couple months increasing the price by $13, even though Total Wine was already cheaper! They are charging $15 more that Total Wine for the exact same keg. They're not even making an attempt to be competitive! If you don't have the time or gas, or only want a bottle or two, stick with BevMo. If you want a far superior selection of beer, alcohol and wine, and cheaper prices, plan ahead and drive to Total Wine and More! read more
