I have come here multiple times a year for the past 5 years at least to get the things that I cannot get at other stores. I stopped here today and realized I have never reviewed them. The stuff here is usually very helpful and will direct me to what I need. They have a good selection of drinks as well as some pretty unique snacks. I have purchased everything from expensive whiskey to six packs of craft beer, to interesting snacks, to kosher wine, to gifts for people that I wouldn't have even considered until I saw them here. Today for example, I purchased some ginger beer and some pineapple ginger beer. No matter what you get they will insist on checking ID. That can be annoying, like it seemed unnecessary today as I am clearly over 21 and wasn't purchasing any alcoholic beverages. They are dog friendly and I do like that I can bring my dog into the store with me. They also have clean bathrooms for customers and I will continue to come here for odds and ends as long as they are open. read more

The staff are very knowledgeable and always helpful without being too helpful. On one particular visit they saved me money. I was looking for a particular size of a particular product. The staff member took me right to it, and then told me of another brand that was cheaper they thought just as good! They were right. By the way, in response to commenter Henry M.'s remark about a bottle of IDE Irish Whiskey being "expired", I'm pretty sure the date on that bottle is the bottling date (which is different from how long it's been aged). Whiskey and other hard liquors don't "expire" as such. An unopened bottle will basically last forever. An opened bottle, properly stored will stay good for a couple of years. read more

Just walked into total wine on a random weekday and was able to find a highly sought after bottle of bourbon. The price was at msrp and there was a good amount of them on the shelves among other hard to find bottles of whiskey. The staff here used to really hover and try to sell you there "brand" products. I've noticed that it hasnt been nearly as bad now as it had been in the past. I only shop for whiskey and beer and Im not too sure about the other stuff but they have a great selection of whiskey here for very solid prices. read more

I was in the area and wanted to get Mi Familia tequila. They have special partnerships with liquor u cannot get at other places. This tequila is so smooth, it is a sipping tequila but I have made margaritas with it. Probably should use cheaper tequila for that. Stephanie working there is a double edge sword. The positive is she is so knowledge and sweet. The negative is I end up spending more money than I planned on LOL. Bought some Roberto Cavalli Vodka and Victoria Gin made by the same company as Empress Gin. The only caveat was the guy at the wine tasting booth was a bit condescending. read more

I walked in, and the manager immediately clocked me as someone needing help. I ask for her help to find a specific wine, and not only did she know exactly what I was talking about and where to find it, she followed up with more recommendations that suited my tastes exactly Angela the manager was amazing, I walked out of there with two bottles instead of one, and they are FANTASTIC bottles. I would also like to say, given that I tend to look much younger than I actually am, I don't often get the best treatment at establishments like this. I grew up in wine country. I run up and down Napa and Calistoga looking for stuff I like. NEVER have I been treated so kindly as I had been at this Total Wine and More. Friendship ended with BevMo. Today, June 12th, 2025. . . I setup an order for pick up later because this location had my favorite summer beer in stock - Bud Light Lime. All was paid for, email sent, confirmation barcode, let's goooo! I walk in around 6:30 pm... approached the customer service counter because, I, like the rest of the world am tired, long day of work, and want to pick up my order in a quick but polite fashion. First cashier directs me to the order pickup counter and I said thank you. I set a timer for 5 solid minutes because I know with other people checking out and stocking, retail environments can be busy. 5 minutes later, multiple people in line checked out..... no one approached me at the counter for pickup. I pressed the button that you see at like drug stores where it beeps for a team member. Finally, I approach cashier counter, window 3, and ask the cashier if someone can meet me at the pick up counter. She literally says, "DID YOU PRESS THE BUTTON" ..... with attitude. I said, yes, 3 times. As she walks over to that counter and proceeds to hit the button in front of me like I am an imbecile... she says, "you shouldn't speak to people like that " and walks away quickly. Walks away. Next up, a different employee comes over, checks my ID and hands my already paid for products. Very simple transaction with this employee. Cashier # 3? Apparently her name is Jasmine. Speaking of behavior, Jasmine, I dont need to be schooled in a public setting as your paying guest. I don't need a lesson in how to press a button from a machine at the counter AND rude would be saying your two cents while walking away so quickly, I can't even respond to you personally. This location did get my business because they had the product in stock, but the staff, and specifically Jasmine, needs a lesson in customer service 101. Thank you for reading! read more

I shop here often! Would only give one star but! Giiving it 2 stars. I have had good experiences with a particular associate by the name of Tom and love there selections. However! I noticed on this whiskey I.D.E IRISH that l always purchase was expired at home, red flag to me, due to the fact that l purchase this I.D.E Irish whiskey at least once a month, is the store selling this expired? I made a trip to the store today for repurchase of my I.D.E whiskey and l checked the expiration and sure enough every bottle l picked up is expired! Not 6 months ago but found some 1.5 years ago! I know some alcohol has no expiration, but if the manufacturer places a expiration on the bottle it's for a reason. I took the bottle up front to let them know about it! I told the associate the bottle has expired over a year ago, he didn't ever bother to look at the bottle and proceed to tell me whiskey doesn't expire? l said, but it has an expiration on it! He had nothing to say, l was thinking they were unaware, we'll they are VERY AWARE of selling alcohol expired! WOW! If your not going to look at the bottle! With that being said, l feel its a public safety issue and filed a complaint against the company and there practices and irresponsibility to us consumers. read more

I did not come to this location for 5 years after my bad experience here but in the last year I have stopped in a couple of times and I have had much better experiences recently. There are always multiple available employees ready to help and they have all been friendly and made good recommendations. In my last few visits, I have never been asked for ID (let me say again that I clearly don't need to be carded) and I haven't had any issues with rude or unreasonable staff. I don't know if my experience was a fluke, or if they have changed their training/staffing over the last few years, but either way I have been satisfied with my more recent visits and thought it was time to update this review. This location is dog friendly and that is very important to me so I will continue coming here as long as I keep having good experiences. read more

I stopped in to buy a passion fruit syrup with a friend who arrived in a separate car. We were asked by the lady cashier for ID even though we were not purchasing alcohol. I asked if we could use digital id because it raining outside but she said NO. So i went to my car to get my physical ID, and when I returned, my friend had already left to target near by. When I tried to check out alone to another cashier that lady accused me of lying and refused to let me purchase the item because my friend was no longer there. So what am i supposed to do? call him go back to the store?ISNT THAT KIND OF RACIST? I was publicly questioned and treated with suspicion for no valid reason. This treatment felt racially motivated and discriminatory, as I was singled out, accused, and denied service despite doing nothing wrong. this happened around 6 PM at registers 4 and 5, This was humiliating and unacceptable customer service. read more

Borderline racist employees. The employees I've encountered walk around with their noses in the air as if they all own the store. No greeting when I entered but immediately greeted the person who came in right after me. If they see you approaching for a question they will either ignore you or walk away. You can also find the workers talking/laughing in the back while looking over at you right after ignoring you. I asked the older lady with long blond hair a question and was met with a nasty attitude. I also tried to ask the lady at the counter a question but just walked away. Then those two proceeded to chit chat towards the back of the store. As someone who spends a good amount of money at this store, I am deeply disappointed. These locations have everything you need to have successful sipping experience. They also have a small wine tasting bar as well. She was very knowledgeable and had some inspiring recommendations. This experience was beyond frustrating. I went into Total Wine to buy a bottle as a gift and had my son with me. I was told I couldn't make the purchase because I "look a little young" and because I was with my child. I understand checking IDs, but this made no sense and felt completely unfair. I wasn't doing anything wrong just a mom trying to grab a gift. Being judged and turned away over how I look, this was very much irritating I left feeling annoyed and disrespected. Went here because I had a gift card that has been sitting around for a few years and needed to use it. This place is very big with a ton of stock on hand. I was looking to get a Japanese whiskey and went to the Scotch area but it wasn't there. I asked one of the workers and he said they moved all the Japanese whiskey to an Asian area and he even said that it might not have been a good idea. I thanked him and started looking over all of the Japanese whiskeys. I don't think they should have separated the liquor by Asian. It should be right next to the Scotch. It is easier to find and I don't think we should have a section for Asian stuff. Are we going to separate all the liquor by where it's made from how would you be able to taste all of the whiskeys , cognacs and such if it were separated. Anyway they did have some great choices and I purchased two bottles to try. I saw a crazy bottle - The Akkeshi which was only 200ml and it was 95.99 It better be hella smooth. read more

The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. They get in some nice allocated bottles occasionally and they have a tremendous selection of my personal favorites, bourbon, rum, and tequila. If you have large gatherings with family and friends it pays to be a free rewards member. If you spend a minimum of $2500 a year you'll become a grand reserve member and have an opportunity in a lottery for some of the most desired bourbon bottles released. They always have such a disgusting attitude and the worst customer service ever! 7/5/2022 - I was actually driving to the first store that I knew sold wines. I passed this store and then made a U-turn back. This is my first time in this store and was amazed at how big and clean it was. I was greeted by a kind man who offered to help me, but I turned down his help because I just wanted to take my time and browse. I bought two bottles of wine and a cordial. The prices were good & competitive to other stores. In fact I ask the cashier if they were the same as Beverage & More and he said "nooo, they are our competitors!" We don't have this store in Stockton. The first Total Wine & More I noticed was on a trip to Las Vegas. I told my cousin about my adventure and said she wasn't surprised because she said I am adventurous!!! I told her what I bought and about the cost and she agreed that the cost was good!!! This is the worst store/manager ever. He is racist, along with other employees. I went in with family and they wouldn't sell to us because I did not have my ID but I wasn't making the purchase. I would have been okay with that, had they made that rule apply to everyone. There was a mom with her young son who they let purchase alcohol without asking him for an ID so what is the reason to ask for mine if I am with my family? Simply because of my race. He flat out told me he's judging me. I love the holiday season! cold weather, cold weather clothing, specialty coffees, and special edition "spirits" (for some reason I love the sounds of "spirits" over "liquor"). Ironically, Diddy (one of my favorite artists/mogul) recently released a special edition Black Raspberry flavor from his popular line of Ciroc Vodka. Unfortunately, being on the West Coast means that only a select number of stores would stock this limited edition flavor. Acting on a tip provided by a friend, I visited numerous Raley's & Bel-Airs located close to my home. No luck! I even checked a local Target...no bueno! While leaving the Target parking lot I realized that a Total Wine & More was located at the end of the parking complex. With an anxious pep in my step, I entered the store. Similar to BevMo (and most spirits stores), the store has different sections for different kinds of spirits. I walked directly to the Vodka section, did a quick scan of the shelf, and immediately was overcome with a feeling of disappointment when I realized that the new flavor had an empty home. However, right at that moment an employee stopped by to see if we needed help. I told him what I was looking for, and he calmly grabbed a ladder and retrieved a bottle of the Ciroc Black Raspberry from a case that was placed on a high shelf. That evening I walked out of Total Wine and More not only happy that I had tracked down a bottle of this limited edition treasure (the flavor is amazing when paired with Simply's Mixed Berry juice and muddled blackberries), but that the bottle was only $24 (most stores sell it for $30+).
