Bevmo actually has good products which i have bought before ' This review is a form of protest of go puff that owns bevmo throughout California I spend a lot of time working in this location. The bevmo support staff has been great to me i normally don't like to protest against companies but i feel this is time go puff and bevmo went too far as to how they treat their employees, especially their drivers i encourage people not to shop at go puff and bevmo because the company is going bankrupt and making a lot of false allegations against its drivers. I usually shop at the Bevmo in Upland. The staff there are very nice and helpful. Today I had occasion to shop at the Rancho Cucamonga location. Same great selection but when i got to the register they asked to scan my drivers license. At Upland I always decline and just show them so they can verify that I am 21. I am 62 by the way. I told the lady that I declined to have my DL scanned but that I would happily show it to her. She said she had to scan it, that it was Bevmo policy. I told her that at the Upland store they didn't require that I let them scan my DL. She acted very irritated and said if I didn't let them scan the DL she could not sell me the merchandise. I said I understood and that I declined. The other checker turned around and told me "Get out of here then". With so many big companies getting their data hacked and the proliferation of Identity theft I try to reduce my exposure where ever possible. If this is indeed a new corporate policy I will no longer be patronizing Bevmo. If it is in fact a case of bad management at the Rancho Cucamonga store I will stick with the nice folks in Upland read more

Came here for Friday night wine tasting and had a great time! Julie the wineologist was so much fun and kept the party going. Cost was a nickel for each pour. We even got to try Stella Artois Midnight Lager and it had a dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla flavor. Bevmo is located in the same parking lot as Chik-Fil-A and once you get through the crazy drive thru line and into the store it's actually really laid back and not crowded. Sadly, this BevMo has gone way downhill. Their service is used to be great, but the new staff is clueless about their own liquor selection and how to treat their customers with even minimal care. The ambience is poor and their displays are disorganized. It seems like the staff there gets replaced every few months and most of them don't even pretend they want to work there. Honestly, there is zero reason not to shop instead at the Total Wine right across the street. Not only is their staff much more knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Stopped in on a Friday night, headed into San Diego. The parking lot was decent, and the store was well stocked. The clerk was very pleasant. We had gotten a BevMo card a few years back, and were able to use our phone number for a discount. That worked out great! I have no complaints about this location. I did notice that they don't have a huge selection as Total Wine across the street, but it suits it purpose if your there for your favorite pack of beer (granted they have it) grab and go. They are overly priced on some items, especially the snacks, (why buy your snack there when you can mosey over next door to Fresh and Easy)....Staff is friendly & efficient. I do question the people that go there though (well only when we got there, a huge Luxury Party limo drove up, w/tons of drunken youngsters -21ish crowd).....Its when you get older you really do realize how lame you were when you were younger & dranked alot.....lol (pls note: my daughter made me feel bad about that last comment, she says "Hey mom, weren't you young once? One of my favorite places to stock up for a party. The selection is insane, endless really. It helps to know about what you want and start in that section. The store is clean and well kept. Staff super nice and very helpful. Plenty of easy parking out front, great hours and specials going on. Also helps to sign up for their card to get coupons to your email (usually $10 off $100 which is when I make my way out here) if you can't find what you need here, I don't know where else, great store. read more

I'm a big fan of beer but i just don't remember the names of the beers that i had. I used to buy random beers in Bev Mo just to try everything. My friend and I were looking for some good quality wine or at least something better than Stella Rosa when my friend said "Don't buy wine here, let's go to BevMo and you can buy a bottle and get the other for 5 cents." I turned pale. Upon arriving at BecMo, we were greeted warmly by the staff and one of them talked us through the wines we could get for that deal and which of them was better tasting. He also asked what type of wine we were looking for and the occasion which led him to picking a good selection for us. Before you get head over heels, just to warn you that it's five cents off of the same bottle of wine you choose, not five cents off another type of wine in the deal. We had selected one bottle of wine but it was the last one left so they gave that bottle to us for half the price and that's their rule! Aside from wine, there were various types of alcohol from Jack Daniels to margarita's etc. Although there are good deals on the alcohol or wine, the party products such as cups or wine glasses are expensive due to the convenience of them just being on the shelves. I love Bevmo. Being a partial alchoholic, this place has everything I need. Cant beat the 5¢ wine sale. My only issue with this place is the inconsistency of the employees concerning their ID checks. I have been shopping here for about a year and never had a problem. Go to the register, pull out your ID and leave. Simple right? Not so last week. Went to the register and was asked for my ID. Ok no problem. When I give the girl my ID she scrutinizes the hell out of it and then asked me if I was 21. This girl looked like a teenager. I was annoyed because I just wanted to pay for my booze and drink it. I told the girl that my ID was not fake and that I was 30 years old.
