I want to recognize Ray at Trader Joe's in Alta Loma, CA, for going above and beyond with incredible customer service. Today was the day they were selling the mini tote bags. It was my first time trying my luck at getting some. After driving from my work in El Segundo to my home in Alta Loma, I went into the Trader Joe's store, hoping to find more. Sadly, there were none left. So, I decided to ask the two gentlemen at the Service Desk area. When I asked one of them if there were any left, I was told they were sold out. I made a sad face and mentioned that it's difficult to get there early because I work full-time, and then I started to leave. A few moments later, Ray approached me and gave me the last two mini tote bags that he had been saving for himself. After hearing my story, he wanted me to have them instead. I was completely touched by his kindness and generosity. He didn't have to do that, but he chose to make someone else's day a little brighter. In today's world, it's rare to experience such genuine compassion and selflessness. Ray turned what I thought would be a disappointing shopping trip into one I'll always remember. Trader Joe's is fortunate to have an employee like him, and I hope he receives the recognition he deserves. Thank you, Ray, for your kindness. Supermarket like Trader Joe's has lots of fanfare. Service is always very friendly. Vibe is traditional market with welcoming atmosphere. What set them apart from other supermarkets are talented team who carefully selects their products and market their own brands. They offer something more than groceries, more like fashion, beliefs, and trust for their own brands. I can name many fan favorite snacks, and many people like the frozen food section too. For me, some common vegetables, I rather buy from Aldi and other grocery chains. I am glad it's uniquely positioned and service is always outstanding and that tells me they are well trained. read more

Hit or miss with this Trader Joe's. As of late the cashiers haven't had the best attitude. Today I checked out with Jesse C... I had to bag all of my groceries which I'm happy to do but he was so out of it... layering heavy things on top of my eggs.. didn't care to help me bag and didn't say anything to me throughout the entire interaction. Love them because it's cheap and the food taste amazingly great. The prices are friendly to your pocket specially during inflation like now... cashier always smiling and greet you upon check out. I personally like the butter chicken, the fiery chicken vindaloo and the kimbab. I am trying chicken burrito bowl for the first time. I hope it will taste great as well. read more

Honestly, I think Trader Joe's has a lot of good healthy stuff but with that being said you got to be careful and look at ingredients to make sure there is not other "health food" ingredients. Lots of sunflower oil is used but my mom is severely allergic to sunflower and nuts/seeds so they have a lot of those ingredients. Which I am cautious of, but still good stuff! Service was great! Dan was helpful and nice helping me out pretty quick. It is a Sunday and it was so busy. I'm glad the check out process was quick. Also very nice he broke a $20 so I had $1 for my car wash today! Thanks The ambiance was just crowded, crowded, crowded, but I know this is a smaller location so I always give them a pass, but it's also why I haven't been here in 2 years even though I live down the street! The new Totes came out and these cashiers are allowing people get more than the limit of 2 bags per person. My mom went this morning to at least get one and she saw a lady got several and let her kids take all of the bags that was left. The cashiers allowed them to purchase it all. That's so unfair! I am disappointed with the cashiers and how they allowed everyone to take more than the limited amount. I can't even get 1! Horrible. read more

Trader Joe's is hands down one of my favorite places to shop. Is the parking lot terrible? Yes. Is the store tiny? Absolutely. But will you find amazing products at great prices? Without a doubt! It's nearly impossible to walk out with just one item. There are so many fun snacks to try, and the cheese section is easily my favorite. The store is always clean and well organized, which is a huge plus. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and the customer service is consistently top-notch. I happened to stop by today when they were giving out mini tote bags, and everything was handled so smoothly. Everyone lined up, the wait was only a few minutes, and there was no chaos in sight. I love this Trader Joe's! Situated in a busy shopping center, parking can be brutal during busy hours. Even with Vons a few steps away, this store is still heavily frequented. I always get flowers here, especially for Mothers Day, because they carry a beautiful assortment for a fraction of the price from other stores. I love finding seasonal treats like their Jojos and chocolates. Recently, I've also become a fan of their limited releases of mini tote bags. I was lucky enough to snag a few of their Halloween/fall design. I can't wait for the next drop! read more

I've never found anything out of the ordinary at this location, compared to other spots. I do recommend coming before 3 and after 6, because it gets busy in the parking lot. As for our dogs, they LOVE the Freeze-Dried Just Chicken, the Just Salmon Skin Baked Dog Treats and the Chicken Breast Strips Dog Treats!! They go nuts over these 3 treats!! My kids and I absolutely love Trader Joe's. We don't come here very often, but when we do, it's an enjoyable shopping experience. Some of their seasonal products are what bring us in at specific times throughout the year so we can stock up before they're gone! Some of our favorites include the green goddess seasoning, the rolled chile and lime tortilla chips (a healthy version of Taki's), the steamed pork and ginger soup dumplings, the peanut butter cups and the Brazilian style cheese bread. We found some fun new items today to try as we stocked up on some of our favorites. Sometimes their items are so popular they have to place a limit on them. We were thankful the limit was removed on the rolled chile and lime tortilla chips today lol. Their store is very clean and organized well. The aisles are wider than some stores, I think, but sometimes it can be so busy and crowded, it might not feel that way. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. They really seem to take pride in the products they offer and are very knowledgeable about them. They're usually great about opening new registers when the lines are long as well. read more

What can I say? It's Trader Joe's, my favorite market, and we don't have one in Victorville. They didn't have the gluten free mini cupcakes I was craving but the good thing about Trader Joe's is they will have something new for me to try. This time it was some dried candied orange slices and some Boozy Macarons. Who knew that you can make macarons totally alcoholic? I like the vegan items in the store especially the tasty Korean Japchae in the frozen section. This is so flavorful, you won't miss the meat. The French Chocolate Crepe Cookies are the best ever. They are super light textured and deceptively addictive. Always buy more than one box. If you plan on giving a box to a friend, always give them two. It is easy to eat the whole box. Your friend will thank you for being proactive. It seems I always end up buying more than I anticipated so I will purchase another Trader Joe's cloth tote bag. This time it was pickle themed bag. The bags are reasonably priced and there is a large assortment of various types. Staff is always friendly and check out is efficient and fast. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center but, depending on the time, the lot does get full. Overall, a nice shopping experience at Trader Joe's. read more

If you choose to design your own florals for your wedding, and you decide to go with Trader Joe's, do NOT choose this location. I called Trader Joe's 10 months before my wedding to get ahead on what the process was for ordering flowers in bulk. These flowers would be for my wedding on March 14th. I spoke with their florist Christie. She told me verbatim to call 2 weeks in advance to see if they have a certain flower in stock, and that they would set whatever amount I wanted aside early in the morning. I was also told that I could pick it up when they open at 8am OR at any point during the day. So that's exactly what I did. I called Trader Joe's and spoke to Christie. All the flowers I ordered were in season, and all were available for pickup. I set the pickup day for March 12th, Christie writes the order. March 12th comes, I go to Trader Joe's at 2pm and let the managers know that I am here to pick up the bulk order. The manager on duty turns around, picks up a green slip, and tells me "so we never placed your order. We can fill it right now with the flowers already available, or we can set flowers aside and get you a fresh order tomorrow" aka the day before the wedding where I would be out of town all day. I ended up receiving flowers on the 12th that were either full of mites that I had to toss the bunch, wilted, or was half the quality they would have been if they had been set aside at the beginning of the day like I originally ordered. Management offered little to no support to remedy the situation. Very disappointed with how my experience was. read more

My go to Trader Joe's! Like all Trader Joe's, the parking here is ehh but I love this location and there are so many convenient places nearby. The inside is always clean and the staff is super friendly. Make sure to check out the back of the store for samples and the section of new items they have in store. I've also been lucky to find some items that tend to be out of stock in other stores. It can get really busy here so be patient the next time you head in. read more

I never thought about this location when I'm in the area, but it coincided so well with our dinner plans and topping off the gas tank, so here's my observation. First, this is a big cut above the Riverside location, especially in freedom of movement. The open spaces are much appreciated. I also noticed that the wine selection is better, and the checkout lanes are more numerous, too. Other than convenience and a good but busy parking situation, this might become my second favorite location when out and about. read more

The customer service at this Trader Joe's is absolutely the worse! My best friend from Vegas gifted me a bag from Nevada Trader Joe's so I never took the tag off. I went in and the BAG LADY didn't bat an eye, ripped the damn tag off, and stood there as if I had the problem. Please DO NOT touch other people's belongings WITHOUT asking!!!!!!!! Sadly, there is no Trader Joe's (TJ) in the high desert at this time. I'm waiting for one to be built up the hill... if they don't by end of 2025, I'll be okay because I plan to move back down the hill at that time. Actually, I'm okay now... it just would be nice to have one nearby where I live. Anyway, this TJ is the closest one to me so it's my go-to spot whenever I need to pick up some beautiful flowers for family and friends. I also get my oatmeal + chia seeds + flaxseed from here. Sometimes I'll get TJ sparkling water. For the holidays, they have specialty candy items such as fig+chocolate (so delicious!) and other goodies. Their frozen foods section has great selections. I read somewhere that TJ strategically place their locations near colleges and universities because their targeted customers are mainly students. It would be nice for them to expand their strategy and be open to non-college locations like the high desert (hint hint). They also have a massive wine section which I don't visit at all because I don't drink alcohol. They have a fresh produce section which I need to explore more one of these days. As I mentioned above, their flowers section is just beautiful and fun to shop from. I love TJ for their unique specialty items all around. They usually have their products stocked so rarely do they run out of stuff. Their staff are friendly and fantastic at what they do. Thank you! I attempted to ask an employee a question to which they attempted to ignore me the first time I said, excuse me, and after the second time, I said, excuse me within close proximity of them and they couldn't ignore me. They stated that they'd be right back that they had to clock in. Understandable except they did not return. I looked back and I saw them begin laughing with staff and laughing . I gave the benefit of the doubt and waited a moment, yet nothing . The time you spent attempting to ignore me would've answered the question I had. I love the array of various flowers to purchase for your love ones. In my case, I usually buy bouquets for my parents and grandparents graves. I love the prices here. Very affordable and fresh. A dozen red or any other color roses including baby's breath is only $15.99 while other grocery stores sell it for $19.99. Employees here are always so very friendly and helpful. read more

This neighborhood grocery store you're able to find some unconventional and interesting products with their own Trader Joe's label. You can find the rare Mandarin Orange Chicken and other quality products at the very affordable prices. They have a vast selection of organic items especially more options on fresh organic produce.
