I am writing this about the website's service, but I cannot find them on here so I am giving the review to a random BevMO store. I ordered a bottle of Lagavulin online. It was supposed to be the 1996 distillers addition. Instead, I got the 1999 distillers addition. My receipt clearly says 1996. The bottle, however, says 1999. So I have to go through the trouble of dealing with customer service. They reroute me through the warehouse. They inform me, through email, that they made a mistake and that there is no 1996 in their stock, and the 1999 was listed that by mistake. They then tell me I can keep the bottle or send it back. Sending it back was going to be a headache, so I decided to keep it. I slept on it and was more pissed when I woke up. They essentially gave me the bait and switch, and when called on it, they did not even offer to make the situation right. So I contacted customer service again, hoping that they could discount the bottle or something. Again, I was rerouted through the warehouse. This time I was informed that they did not give discounts or gift cards to make amends for their errors unless the order is over a thousand dollars! Instead, they offered to give me free shipping on the bottle, a whole whopping $15, on a $130 bottle that I would not have ordered if it had been listed properly. Oh, and they offered to give me free shipping on my next order. Like I would use them again. What really blows me away, is that they never really copped to screwing up big time. And not giving discounts for their own mistakes on anything less than thousand dollars is the most ridiculous policy I have ever heard of. I usually only use BevMo when I can't find what I want anywhere else. Now, though, I will be looking other places. I am left feeling royally screwed over. Two thumbs way down. read more

The customer service was exceptional, with staff offering suggestions and assisting with finding the best value for my budget. Thus, I'll be on my merry way on a solo treasure hunt hoping the right bottle calls my name. The check-out line can also be a bit slow and drag during busy hours. Overall, it's a convenient one-stop shop but doesn't have the "wow" factor that would be a go-to spot nor is it that exciting, because you know your girl loves to grocery shop and browse aisles for dayssss. Vibe is more like an "errands run" rather than a "fun alchy adventure." Some pros: It's in a plaza therefore you can spend time eating or more browsing. I frequent the neighboring Ralphs, CVS, and Starbucks. If you're feeling indulgent, Nothing Bundt Cakes is nearby. 3 stars at best! Dependable pit stop, but not a standout.

Three straight times there has been a loud, talkative guy in his 50s standing by the cash register after he has completed his transaction who doesn't leave after paying and who gives me a dirty look when I come up to buy my beer. The store clerk is super nice and does not seem to notice that the loitering customer doesn't like being interrupted in their conversation. It's the most unprofessional thing I've seen in a long time. If the friendly clerk leads the customer to think that he can just stand there and have a long conversation, that's nuts. I doubt I will go back. There are other places I can get craft beer nearby.
