This Bevmo is awesome. I called the other day asking for a beer and the guy was so extra helpful. He offered to find it refrigerated, offered to put it in the fridge, and was really concerned with getting me my beer exactly as I wanted it. Unfortunately I didn't ask for his name, but I was very impressed. In the store, I've also noticed their checkout service is super friendly. And my fiance really likes the little messages they put on their marquee, funny little quotes about our relationship to beer. read more

I order delivery all the time from Bevmo. Today I placed an order for $180. The delivery never showed. I called and spoke to a so called manger. He told me I would have to wait another hour after waiting for two hours without any communication. Terrible customer service and will take my business else where due to the poor service. read more

The atmosphere was very negative the first time I walked in this store which was about two weeks ago. The employees don't say anything to you unless you ask them a question. Today I came across 5 employees and neither one greeted me or asked me if I needed help. Awful service due to lack of communication skills. All looked unhappy to the point that they depressed me just by looking at them. The cashier talked to me only because I asked her a question. I don't expect them to carry a conversation, but at least greet the customers and make them feel welcomed rather then just looking at them and look the other way and keep walking. Get a job change if this type of work is not for you. Please keep in mind that customers are paying for your wages for you to keep a JOB!. I wouldn't even give a one Star. read more

Poor customer service and full retail pricing claimed as 'sale pricing'. I couldn't find a specific wine and the one (for a busy Saturday?) floor clerk was tied up with a few customers so the cashier said I should wait at the service desk. I waited for over 15 min before finally grabbing the employee that was stocking cashier supplies and clearly avoiding eye contact with me. They said 'oh yeah, I can help you' and confirmed BevMo recently stopped carrying the wine. I proceed to Sprouts next door and they have the $15 'sale priced' wine I bought instead for $13, Sprouts regular price. BevMo has just poor management overall that I will not be going out of the way for again. read more

This is such a great location. I have a BevMo next to my house in North County, but choose to come to this one because it is super big. They have a large parking lot, so you can usually finsd a pplace right up front. The inside of the store, is larger than any other BevMos so you don't feel like you are running into other people in the aisles. Staff is super friendly and always offer to help you to your car. I walked out of there with 12 bottles of wine, 2 sangria's and a vodka for $150...LOVE THE .5 WINE SALE! read more

Stopped in yesterday with our dog. Was warned that dogs will not be allowed because one had a "accident". When I joked that policy shouldnt change over one "accident" the staff ganged up on my wife and I about selling food. Does packaged food disallow dogs? Pretty sure this is not true. Staff should have kept quiet while we discussed with manager. This is sad since a lot of people run errands with their dogs and cannot leave the dog in the car. read more

I've only been to BevMo one time, but now that I know what a great selection they have, I'll be back for sure! I'm not much of a wine person, and at first I thought that is all they had. So when someone told me that they have a lot of beer I decided I would go check it out. I'm glad I did! I've been wanting to try The Lost Abbey for a while now, and they have pretty much the entire line in stock! As well as every beer you can imagine from New Belgium, which gives me a taste of my home in Colorado here in California! I'll update more on here after I visit a few more times. read more

I had my first BevMo experience tonight. Yes, its true, I was a BevMo virgin. I was on the hunt for a bottle of Mississippi Mud and BevMo had it in stock...Yea! This is a great store. It's nicely laid out, the staff were busy stocking and such but they were very helpful when I asked them to assist me in finding my way around the store. There's a great selection of virtually every type of alcohol you can possibly imagine and even some you might not be able to imagine. BevMo also has a nice selection of snack items; cheese, crackers, nuts, chips etc. They even carry caviar. Mmmmm. The prices are great! Be sure to take a few moments to sign up for your BevMo card so that you can get the discount prices. It will be well worth your time. I do have to admit I was thinking I should probably keep my BevMo card in the back of my wallet, not out in plain view with my drivers license. read more

I really can find nothing wrong with a place that sells wine, beer and booze. In VA you had to make multiple stops if you were looking to stock up for a party, but this one-stop shop is really much better. They even were having a wine sale when I stopped, buy one bottle and the next is 5cents. I mean they are basically just making most of their wine half off, but I appreciate the gimmick. I also love that I can find the cider that I like here (Fox Barrel)! And get a BevMo card, you get discounts!! read more

Love this particular Bev mo, it is tucked away in Point Loma/Sports Arena area. Used to be the "Eagle Big & Tall" store, but now it is way more busier as a Bev Mo. I think it is the latest one in San Diego. This one is well stocked and also has very friendly staff. Had trouble finding something, and they guy totally helped me out. Selection is great and they carry all sorts of stuff, anything you can drink, or make a drink, or drink out of, is pretty much here. And if they don't have it, they will order it for you. Parking is awesome, private lot, which never seems to completely fill up. Wide, bright aisles, completely stocked with stuff from around the world. Great place. And it's right around the corner from Antique Thai. Which is what my wife and I did this weekend. read more

I like their selection but frustrated with their prices. Their marketing to customers is pretty bad as well. And their rewards are terrible. Their pricing is rarely competitive but they just get you with their good selection. And why can't they market to my purchase habits? I don't buy wine yet a the coupons I receive are for wine deals. An incentive to by wine? Not when I don't DRINK wine. Why not offer discounts on the type of things I do buy? 5% off after $250 in purchases? And the coupon you receive has an expiration date! Pretty lame "reward" program. I gave them 4 stars simply because they have what I need but I sure wish there was more value. read more

The staff here is great super helpful and always willing to find u whatever u need if u can't find it. They have great knowledge of wine & always the best suggestions if looking for something new.One guy even went to the extent of looking thru 10 boxes to find our wine. Bevmo in general has a good selection but their prices are very high. Also, what's up with not opening until 10:00? The traffic in that area sucks so I like to get my shopping done early. This store in particular has a high turnover of employees so don't expect any of them to have any real knowledge of what they carry. You can also expect to wait at the checkout. There are tons of employees but god forbid they would open another register when it's busy. read more

I spoke to a representative on the telephone that said that alcohol is returnable. Coming from out of town and having a wedding in San Diego this was a great perk! Unfortunately we misunderstood that only certain quantities could be returned. The manager at this location, Evan, told my fiancé this when I was not present. When I asked about the policy myself because I had not heard the explanation he raised his voice at me and told me that he had already spoken to my fiancé and should not have to talk to me about it. He was extremely abrasive and rude even when I explained that I had not spoken to my fiancé yet and that I just wanted to know the information for any future purchases at BevMo. He was startlingly unprofessional and really put a damper on our wedding weekend. We were fine with just keeping the alcohol and accepting that it could not be returned, and we were happy with their delivery service but Evan's demeanor makes me never want to step foot in a BevMo again. Any ladies out there avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be condescended to and spoken to like an animal. read more

They steal your personal info - When you get to the register, they ask to see your ID. If you give them your drivers license, they quickly swipe the magnetic strip without asking your permission. This allows them to get all your personal info off your divers license. . I hope there is an attorney out there who needs some business and will sue these people for stealing personal information without consent. The employeee claim this is corporate policy so an attorney should be able to make some decent $$$ off the lawsuit. read more
