Summer is almost here. Although Summer weather hits different in San Francisco it doesn't mean you can't have fun in the sun or in the rain. There a few things needed to get a party started in SF. You need the party people and also an indoor or outdoor venue with music but a party isn't complete without the drinks. There are many places to get adult beverages in SF. You can find it on the corner store or at the Supermarket. There is one place dedicated for any occasion and celebration with adult beverage of all kinds and it's Bev Mo. On the first week of June stroll on Geary boulevard I landed at the Bev Mo. Inside you will find any type of liquor you desire. If you looking to do caviar bumps with the squad over Champagne they have you covered. If you look to have wine with that cheese like some in SF ( It's National Cheese Day)they got you covered . If you like to get sour and salty and squeeze lemons and limes in your tequila they got you covered. They have lots of bourbon , rum, cognac (hella henny) , and one of my personal favorites Glenfiddich 12 Year Sherry Cask Malt Scotch and Pinot Noir wine for Don Juan Pinot Noir. This would be the spot to stock up for the 250 year celebration of America on 4th of July which is next month. Nearly secret location. The entrance sign is blocked by a tree. Once I found the place I headed to Anchor Steam land. My friend on the east coast heard that they closed & requested I find him a case of Porter. Well, this quest wasn't as easy as I thought. Here we have a lovely display of Pilsner center stage & a variety pack with one Porter in it. Sigh. Anyway, this store feels like an oversized convenience liquor store. It has a large collection of alcohol for a neighborhood party. You're not going to find everything you're looking for here, or maybe you will, just know this BevMo is on the small side compared to other locations. The store has a nice vibe, it's clean, & the staff are friendly & helpful. If you're a first timer, just look for the loading zone mid-block. read more

I don't even drink alcohol, but came in with a list of about $700 worth of supplies for a work party. I am a Bev Mo fan. But apparently not THIS Bev Mo. Two people "working" (aka hanging out) -- no acknowledgment, no greeting, no offer to help with anything. Indeed, instead a look of "resting B* face" from one worker, as in "why'd you have to come into our store and ruin our perpetual break?" Selection is half that of a "regular" Bev Mo, and inexplicably so are the cart sizes. Ok, fine. Still doing our best to fill our mini carts. But then I have to pee. I get that not all stores offer restroom, but clearly I am here spending substantial money. So a simple "sorry, we don't have a restroom" would get the job done. Instead, I get a look of "f* you for even asking, NO." No apology, no suggestion of any other restrooms in the vicinity. Instead, another look of "how dare you disturb our peace to even ask..." and immediately second worker ignores us further with quite the rude attitude. Mind you, I am a corporate lawyer, dressed well, and again clearly intending to spend actual money. But that was enough to end our shopping at THIS Bev Mo. I get it that they are in a neighborhood that likely attracts scummy people, homeless, shoplifters, etc., so maybe it is a good "business model" to engage staff that is rude and scares away any human beings who might come through. But not my idea of a pleasant shopping experience. Happy to use my corporate credit card elsewhere! read more

Horrible horrible experience. We were specifically told by an employee at BevMo that anyone could return a keg to get the deposit back, and it did not need to be the card that was used to put the deposit down. However, this ended up not being the case and the employees were completely unhelpful. We explained to them the person that put the deposit down would not be back in town for the foreseeable future (if ever), and the only reason that person used their card is because the employee said anyone could get the deposit back. They completely disregarded this and basically said tough luck. If you value any customer experience do NOT go to this BevMo location. I'm sure the other locations are better. read more

I am quite the egalitarian booze buyer. Total wine, Costco, and all the local places I frequent them all. This Bevmo has a nice selection in a simple layout. Last time I found a nice bottle of Henry Mckenna 10 for $69 ( god it used to be 35 four years ago...sigh) Great beer selection. Awesome wine selection. Pretty good snacks too. Bev Mo is a great place to find unique offerings I.E. I was just at the SF Coffee Festival and sure enough I found it at Bev Mo. In terms of wines I usually wait for the 5 cent sale to shop for $20 + wine bottles. The staff at my Geary location are very nice and helpful. Full of suggestions and I was impressed that they actually knew which wines by name that they had/ didn't. With hundreds of wineries, that's impressive! They were both attentive, helpful without being smothering. Great service, attention to what the customer is asking for and nice recommendations. The pomegranate Liqueur- La Palma was a WONDERFUL recommendation that I never would have considered. Keep up the good work gentleman- this nurse will be back! I've been shopping for wine for 37 years and I've never had an experience quite like this. I asked the employee that was in the aisle where I was browsing if there were Washington State wines besides what was in the expensive, locked cabinets. The employee asked a couple of times over their headset the question that I asked. I know the employee was fulfilling an order at the time, so I was patient and kept browsing that aisle while I awaited the response. It never came. So about 20 minutes later, after I found what I was looking for, I ran into the employee again and asked why they didn't get back to me with an answer. They said they were busy fulfilling an order. I said they shouldn't ignore customers like that. As I was walking away, they said, "Whatever," in a sarcastic tone. So I said, "Whatever," back to them. I took a bus here to buy a few items I knew they would have. One of the staff members was very kind and he directed me to where I would find my items. When I went to check out, the female asked for my drivers license. Clearly I am a senior citizen but because I don't carry my drivers license she refused to let me make my purchase. She didn't ask the customer ahead of me for his identification! I listened to another clerk and he didn't ask either. She was so rude! I will never go back to this store. I was here two weeks ago but now that I had a similar experience at the Vaca Ville store I feel there need to voice my outrage. The "new" policy at the check out counter that requires showing ID, Scanning the ID and asking question of residence and more and including a lecture by a 25 something checkout clerc as to policy, is going too far. There is no law in California that mandates a stringent identification see: abc.ca.gov/law-and-polic.... I am turning 69 yrs old this year and could never pass for any age younger than 50! Tracking, and gathering information about your customers against their objection does not sit well with me or I am sure with many others. If this is how you choose to treat your customers, then I have spend the last dollar ever with your company. You rebranding is on the spiraling path downward. This Bevmo deserves no stars. There is a Manager named Tiffany, female, Asian with a haughty attitude. She almost rammed me with a cart as she was harrasing her employees. I felt so disturbed and upset that she had no respect for her customers personal space. She was screaming at her employees and harrasing everyone in the store. I told her to stop and that her behavior was hostile, threatening, unacceptable and to calm down and she disregarded me, walked off and left the cart behind me. I continued to look for what I needed to buy in the store but I started to feel very uncomfortable and that it was a bad choice coming to this Bevmo. Tiffany continues to scream and harrass her employees. When I got in line to the register and was ready to pay she was screaming at her employees and her employees were running around confused and scared. A customer yells at her to open up because she is doing nothing but harrasing and screaming. She opens up the register and starts yelling to the customers in line that she only takes card. I did not want to have her ring me up because I did not want anymore harrassment and aggression from her. She kept screaming and harrasing until I got fed up and spoke up and told her to stop screaming and harassing everyone and her employees. She argued with me and said I don't know what your talking about and I reminded her that she almost rammed me with a cart. She said I don't know what your talking about and I had enough and said that I would report her. I did report her when I completed the survey on my Bevmo Receipt and asked to be contacted to discuss this but no one from this store has gotten back to me and I believe it's because she is the manager here. Tiffany never apologized and never made things right. To the employees that work at this Bevmo at 3455 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94118 step up and report Tiffany to Human resources. Don't be a bystander, do not suffer in silence do not be afraid of retaliation. Keep records of Tiffanys harrassment and report her there are laws that will protect you! Make this publicly know until something get's done about this and Tiffany gets fired and replaced with a manager that will treat you with dignity and respect. Warning to all customer who walk in this Bevmo. Keep an eye on Tiffany the manager and report her if she is on another manic episode. read more

Omg the Security guard is excellent here today 10/30 @5pm!!!! Great staff. He sanatize carts, make sure everyone entering gets a dose of hand sanitizer, he loads up cars that come in for pick ups. And he is clear with his instructions of where the line is. He's excellent! And great nice attitude! If I was an undercover boss... I'd give him a raise and maybe back up support when it's super busy. He was moving to keep up with everything! Btw.... #77/2016 A more extensive wine selection than most people need though they seem a little light on the Aussie and New Zealand wines. Good selection of beer, some labels new to me (that said, I'm not a big beer consumer). Customer service is good but you do have to ask for help out which shouldn't be necessary. I'm a delivery driver and run a lot of orders for this particular Bevmo. Compared to the one on Van Ness this one is run great. All the employees are helpful and friendly as long as you are respectful you wont have a problem. I've seen the employees deal with a lot of shit from their customers, disrespectful attitudes and such. They are a lot more professional than I would be if I were in their situation. All these entitled people on here need to put themselves in the shoes of the employees. They take shit all day from customers who are used to grabbing what they want. Taking it out on the front line staff is not going to help you. It is not their fault, they don't make the rules. As for the new system for delivery drivers texting their order to Alex, it is the most efficient mode of getting your order, and getting down the road I've seen. She is able to tell us if there is a problem with the order or if it will be delayed for any reason. Alex is truly amazing and helpful. It beats standing in line with people who have phone and online orders. Or putting a sign on the door after your told to wait in your car. Sometimes a simple problem of not being able to reach the customer can be remedied when the driver calls because it comes from a recognised number. Although Michael does an extremely good job of beating the line down quickly, there were constantly drivers cutting to the front of the line even when drivers had their own line. Delivery drivers are not hourly, we get paid by the job, so although a 10min wait may not seem like a big deal to most, it can mean the difference between minimum wage and above to us. While everyone sits at home sipping on their mixed drinks, these employees are here working to ensure they stay as stocked as possible. While you enjoy having months at home with family, they are working. Have a little respect for those that ensure you have a nice drink and it will go a long way. read more

I do delivery and this place nailed the communication with drivers. No line. No wait. No need to come out of your car to show them your pick up details. I text them right after I accept a request. They text back when it is ready. Hate other places where you have to wait with a bunch of other drivers (violating social distancing) and not knowing the status of your order. They also tell you how many items you are picking up, which is very helpful. Only packing sucks. No matter how big your order is- it will not be boxed. I wonder why. Box shortage? read more

Staff was helpful and they had a good selection of NA beers and spirits. But I was expecting more competitive prices. For example, Topo Chico is the same price as Whole Foods. I bought about as much as I could carry. But then I asked for them to take me down the elevator to my car. I explained that I was in pain and was awaiting knee surgery, and I thought this was a reasonable request. They denied my request and said I had to hoof it down the same flights of stairs that I used to climb up to the store, while carrying all the wares I just bought. I said they weren't busy, they seemed to have lots of staff, and I would wait. They wouldn't oblige. I stated this was a reasonable accommodation. They said that it wasn't. Local delivery is just really bad using DoorDash. Bevmo charges a premium for its local delivery service, but fails to warn buyers that they just outsourced this to DoorDash. In turn DoorDash isn't using professional delivery but just random people who are likely also delivery take out food orders. I ordered 2 cases of champagne and the DoorDash delivery driver was too old / weak to carry the cases, didn't have any equipment to wheel the cases of champagne and had to have us help her get them out of the car. To add insult to injury Bevmo doesn't even package the bottles well. They just threw 24 bottles in two random boxes so we were lucky none of them broke. After writing in complaints I basically got nowhere and was told they valued my feedback. No thanks Bevmo. I'll just keep ordering from K&L Wines, who actually know what they are doing. read more
