This store is always well stocked, and i've never come across any huge lines, and of course prices are better than the local grocery stores... i love the selection, you can browse the beer isles for days, and discover new drinks that you've never heard of and cant wait to try! And a definite plus, is that I can purchase my Voss water in Glass Bottles here! This place is always worth the drive. There wine selection is unlike any I have ever seen or likely will ever see again in my life time. If you come Early enough in the day the clerks working in the isle are great at suggesting wine that's great tasting but won't break the bank. I also once came in to pick up a few kegs of beer with a buddy of mine and was amazed at the number of beers they had in stock in there back cooler. You really don't even need to reserve a keg as they have literally hundreds of barrels on hand at any one time. They also have a lot of cheese to go with your whine! I've been a "Bevmo" customer for about 20 years. I now have to say "Bevno". I went to purchase my alcohol. About $70 worth. I'm a frequent purchaser. At age 58 I think they are rude when they "card" me. But now they say that from now on you must give them your drivers license and they put it into their machine to collect information from it. No way!!! Companies have no obligation to keep your information private. And you can bet they would turn the information over to the state of California. If they are not already. And the state of California "shares" information with the Federal government. Information that the Federal government cannot by law collect themselves. But if the state gives it to them they can use it any way they want!!! And share it with anyone or any agency they want!!! My ID card scanning stops here and now... I say "Bevno". If your experience is different then I'm glad. Is it? But they say every one of their stores will now do this. And the clerk said "I assume it has something to do with the state of California". No more 4175 Stevens Creek location (Kiely & Stevens Creek; near the Porsche dealership), now it's near Valley Fair mall (across the street from Big 5). The BevMo website shows a different contact number and a different zip code, but I'm going with what my receipt says. I came in this evening to get some gifts for my alcoholic cousins. I was helped by friendly staff members. The location is much better than the old one. But the old location had higher ceilings (this location seems a little lower, as if I could jump and touch the ceiling). According to one of the staff members, this new location had opened today and "thank God for no more snotty Porshe people". haha, I thought that was kind of funny. I was like a kid in a candy shop... walking on clean isles, staring at shiny bottles, glistening glasses and all the alcohol! I will definitely come in again. read more

Would give them 0 stars if I could. Was in the store yesterday and saw Riedel glasses for sale. Price was marked for $24.99 on the shelf and when it rang up it showed $49.99. Went and showed the cashiers the sale price tag. We took the tag and the cashiers (did not get her name) called for management assistance. The store manager was not available so the "head cashier" named Thomas came to help. He acknowledged the item was incorrectly marked but refused to honor the price. No apology for their error just had the attitude of too bad....and said something derogatory as he walked away. We also had a basket full of wine we were purchasing. At this point we choose to leave the store and searched out the nearest Total Wine. Went there, had a great experience and purchased over $200 in wine. Will never step foot in another Bevmo again. read more

Great selections, you can usually find that one off bottle of beer for me its Anderson Valley's oatmeal stout. I don't know any other venders that usually carry it. Wine selections are large as well and their 5 cent wine deal is...okay if you're exploring. When you compare the prices during the sale you save about 25% when you buy the pair because the single bottle price is a bit higher than normal prices you see at other stores. It's also well organized, workers have all been helpful and if you create your free bevmo card, you get an email for a free wine bottle opener on your birthday, I just got mine the other day! read more

They remodeled this BevMo in 2005 (which suited me fine because then I was off the sauce due to pregnancy). This is a decent location with not-quite-enough parking spaces in front and a knowledgeable staff. Prices here are NOT spectacular, so either join their club and save up for their 5% off coupons or only come here for items you can;t find elsewhere. This store is very well organized (it took me seconds to locate the sake section) and all of the beverages have helpful descriptions (though The Macallan 18-year-old scotch was described as tasting like leather, which stuck me as both odd and disgusting). read more

First time at this location and the service was really quick. You ask for someone to get it out of the glass, and they are there in a quickness! The only thing why its missing a star is cuz there were hella cheap ass people holding up the line .... duh, to get a Bev Mo card you have to give your address and birthday! As it goes for every discount card! The people holding up the line were going to buy a $5.00 wine bottle (which probably tasted horrible) and they just woundnt let it go. Jack asses. Then the other one didn't know if he got the right bottle, so he held up the line with all his questions on how "sweet" or "sour" it was. Tragic. I'm glad they relocated here as the other location next to the Porsche dealer had terrible parking. This one has plenty of parking in the plaza and I think it's a better location since it's on a busy street. I usually go here to buy bottles of wine or alcohol needed for mixed drinks. I went today and asked 2 staff members for a recommendation for a Belgian Wheat beer, and got the "deer in the headlights" look 2 times. That's unacceptable, as far as I'm concerned. The plus of this location (compared to the willow glen one) is that they have a large cold beer section and the store in general is large and open. I have been frequenting this BevMo for awhile now, since I live in Santana Row. Usually, this place is pretty open and workers are always ready and willing to help you out. I made the mistake of waiting till the last minute and making a liquor on New Years Eve. DAAAAMN, the place was packed! People everywhere and the lines were down the liquor aisles. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly someone came to help me though. I was in an out in 30 mins. Not too bad for what looked like a zoo. Way to go BevMo! read more

I love this Bevmo! I usually can get parking right up front and the workers here are always willing to help you with finding things and answering questions. I've met some very knowledgeable beer guys working here. I never usually have a problem finding anything I need or want to try here. Gotta love the 5 cent wine sales they have, and the single bottles of beer they sell. Another great thing about this place is they are Dog Friendly! I was waiting outside with my dog while my girl was grabbing some things and a worker came out and told me I could bring my dog in. Great location and great overall service here. I don't get it. A place that sells wine and spirits and most employees there are very sour and not helpful. At the register there's never a "hello" or "thank you" and when I call they are very short over the phone. Cmon man! Where is the service?? I shop there often and it's terrible! They have gotten much better with their guest service. They lack a variety of Bacardi flavors in the larger 1.75lr bottles.

This is a great store in the neighborhood. They pay attention to regulars and know your name. The coupon deals are awesome. They know what you are coming in for and will often beat you to the location of items to help you get what you need. Great store! read more

I love BevMo. My favorite thing is there 5-cent wine sales. They have sales from time to time where you buy one bottle of selected wines and get a second for 5-cents. It might as well be a 50% off sale. I love it. On top of that you can browse all the wines they have for this sale price online and make your order there. They will then box it up at the store and you just pick it up. They have wines all the way up to 100 bucks for this sale, which if you think about it, is a really good deal. There's a reason for it: Wilfred Wong inflates every single review. If Wine Spectator scores a wine 86, Wilfred Wong will give it a 95. We are done. We will never purchase wine from BevMo again. This used to be my favorite spot to stock up on craft beer. However, at some point in the past month or so they drastically changed the layout. Beer used to be organized by country of origin and american craft beer was organized alphabetically by brewery. Made sense, very easy to browse and possibly discover something new from your favorite brewery. But now logic has no place in the beer aisle. The new organization system is 'bombers, lager, ale, and imports' because as all beer drinkers know it makes perfect sense to organize beer by its style and type of bottle and country of origin. Even better, there is no organization within the bomber section, with IPAs sprinkled all over between white ales, stouts, and everything else. For example, Rogue beers were in 4 different spots. Would you like a brown ale? Well then, have fun browsing every bomber to figure out where they are or where your favorite brewery's brown ale might be I was at a loss for this new 'organization' and will be taking my business pretty much anywhere else to get craft beer. read more

I like this BevMo. It's one of the bigger locations that I've been to, and the variety and service are always very good. It's also nice to be able to check stock online, and arrange a pickup (though I've never tried) I came in the other day to get some items from the (buy one, get one) 5c wine sale, which was an awesome deal. They were supposed to have a 5c wine tasting also, but that didn't seem to be running at the time when I came by. They were sampling disaronno, but that is not a favourite of mine really. I was going to check out, and accidentally went to the bottle return counter. Tim helped me out anyways, and got me a 6-bottle wine tote bag for 5c also. I drove off, and about 2 min later realized I forgot my sunglasses in the shopping basket. I went back, and Tim helped me find them, right where I had forgotten them. Prices are a bit higher than most other alcohol retailers, but the selection and convenience is really good. To be fair though, the snacks are very overpriced, and the prices also didn't seem worth it for non-premium beer. Parking spots at this location are narrow, so be careful. read more

In the past, I have generally been satisfied, not being too hard to please, but when the clerk sent me to the Sunnyvale store for an item I really wanted, assuring me that it was there, never entering his vacant mind to CALL and VERIFY on behalf of the customer, I was utterly convinced at the lack of service skills there. I ended up driving to Sunnyvale (through very heavy afternoon traffic), only to find the item was sold out and the e-stock system Bevmo possesses, has no synchronization, and the e-stock is out dated. The first clerk should have realized this and helped the customer. Get it together people...time to serve the crowd. read more
