Went in this morning for a bottle of vodka. Found the sky vodka on the shelf behind a tag that said $9.99 and then the next size up was 29.99. No other price tags were on the top shelf!!!!!! I took two of the small bottles up to purchase at $9.99 apiece but they did not ring up for $9.99. When a clerk went back to check the price, I was informed that the bottles that I had brought up or not $9.99, she didn't know how much they were because "the tag hadn't been put up yet". I told her then she should sell me the two bottles for $9.99 apiece and she refused . I used to buy a lot of alcohol there, but not anymore. I've had a lot of trouble and issues with this store. (this is the first review I have ever made in my life, but felt it needed to be told. They are always trying to overcharge you with lame excuses.) All be wary !!!!!! read more

Not enough staffto be honest at this location. It's always seems about 1 person working; and God forbid a customer at the checkout has an issue. I tried calling them as well. Noone answered. For Santa Rosa I think this BevMo is the place to go! They have a really large selection of sparkling wine as well as the real deal French champagne! And a great selection of red wines as well. plus plenty of beer and hard liquor. You can also grab some snacks, chips even a little charcuterie, if you're on your way to a party, never show up empty-handed you'll be good to go once you stop here! They often have very decent sales. The last time I was here I had to call ahead of time and told them what I wanted over the phone they asked me to give them 20 minutes, then I showed up at the door, I was invited to come in and paid for my champagne and I happily ran home with my assorted bottles of champagne and wine! I was given a large bottle of Petron Tequila for Christmas. I don't drink Tequila. So I went to the Bemo store with the receipt and tried to return the unopened and sealed bottle of Tequila. It was 2 days after Christmas! The bottle was purchased 8 days before Christmas. The manager said I only had 7 DAYS to return anything at the store. The receipt said returns for damaged or opened goods needed a 7-day return. The receipt said nothing about an opened and sealed item. They said that is their policy and would not accept a return even with the receipt. To meet their requirements you would need to buy the bottle 2 days before Christmas and return it immediately after Christmas. Even though the store is next to Trader Joe's and very convenient I will no longer do business with this company. Bottle Barn and Wine and More will now be my go-to beverage store. read more

The worst customer service ever! I ordered a case of assorted wines online and paid for it, at 9:30am, to be picked up between 1:45 and 2:15 that afternoon. I got there at 2:00 and it wasn't ready. After about ten minutes I asked if I could change it to delivery because I had someplace to be. They said no because it was packed and ready to go but nobody bothered to tell me they that! They then put the case in a cart, said "have a nice day" and never offered to help me out! (I'm a 74 year old woman and there's no way I can lift a case of wine!). I was afraid I might say something I'd regret because I was so mad, I wheeled the cart to my car and proceeded to take enough bottles out to make it light enough for me to put in my car, then put the loose bottles back in the box. Of course it was the same scenario when I got home. I knew I would have to do it there but damn...! Thank goodness a new wine/spirits store is opening close by at the end of the month because I will NEVER go back to BevMo! read more

Stopped in yesterday to pickup a case of Palmia light beer. Searched high and low...finally asked for assistance. I was instantly directed to where my favorite beverage was --yay!! Not sure why this San Francisco beer was bookended between a beer from Holland and Germany...otherwise very happy with an easy and swift transaction. Friday before Christmas 2023 9:20 a.m. At the cash register was a small, disabled woman who remained calm despite there being three people wanting a case unlocked or an exchange and four people lined up at the register. As soon as she saw this developing she took her two canes to walk to the side of the store to retrieve a cell phone to call for help from the back. Twice she called. After twenty minutes and no response she then had to walk to the back of the store to rouse the young man who finally came to help her, who took a big guy first at another register who cut ahead of me and another. Decided to leave. In frustration I remembered that Total Wine and More had opened. Discovered it just 1/4 mile away where I found the tequila I was looking for $23 cheaper as it was on sale for their grand opening. Yay! Signed up for their rewards plan. Sometimes losing becomes a win! Will not return to Bev Mo. read more

I always seem to be an inconvenience when it's time to exchange kegs. The customer service is so awful. I've had employees roll their eyes at me and try everything in their power to seem unavailable to do the simple task--EVERY SINGLE TIME. I dread even having to go there but they're the only place near me that has the variety I like. There was even a time where an employee dented my NEW car putting a 5 gal keg in my trunk. I offered to do it myself but he insisted. I didn't make a big deal of it since it was a tiny dent but it's the principle. I'm considering going all the way to the Petaluma BevMo in hopes that it'll be a better experience there. Only gave 2 stars because of the variety in which they offer there. Selection was pitiful, everything decent was out of stock and then some, layout was atrocious, fridges were lukewarm, store was pretty dingy and dirty, floors sticky, ended up going to the grocery store next door and finding several items in stock which seemed backwards if you ask me. I just purchased a soda stream canister that was used. I called Bev Mo and was told I could returned the canister for a new one. Excellent selection of all liquids both alcoholic and not. Though I do prefer to shop for my booze at family owned Bottle Barn over corporate Bev Mo! One can not deny that much goodness can be found here at competitive prices. Also if you're cigar curious there's a small selection of good quality stogies. 15 Years ago when I was smoking 3 cigars daily I would occasionally treat my self to a better quality premium cigar purchased from BevMo'. Truth be told, though, the cigar selection is bigger and better at Wilibee's liquor store in downtown Santa Rosa. Look for Mev Mo! wine special sales. me and a couple other friends went into the store to look for a drink. we took a while to decide what we wanted but we didn't cause a disturbance to others we kept to ourselves. one of my friends had a phone call to make so we left for a couple minutes. we came back to the store after the call and we were declined service without a explanation and they kicked us out. I feel like it was judgemet because yes, were were college students and on top of that all of us were people of color. I feel as though it was a racial decision and was very uncalled for. When I was in Santa Rosa this was my goto for booze. It's a wonderful place actually, a booze superstore of value. My broil in SF, Dean, would exalt their praises on Facebook. As I was driving through town one day I saw a location on the roadside and decided to stop in and check them out. When you hear folks say they have a wide selection, its a seriously huge selection of booze. (Being that the area is still wine country, some booze shops have limited selections of spirits but wider selections of wine. Here, they have a lot of everything.) Check out a few of my photos and you'll see they have every size of different makes of spirits that is offered as well as multiple styles (or flavors rather) of for example, Jim Beam. A few of my favorite areas to look around were: Bourbons & whiskeys, cheese & deli and of course their more than ample selections of mini's also known as airplane bottles. Airplane bottles have always had this intriguing effect on me since childhood. I can remember staying in a ritzy hotel in somewhere with my family, popping open the mini fridge wondering what was inside and seeing these vibrantly colored mini bottles. Of course to a kid you imagine it's got sweet awesome inside until you beg Dad to crack one open only to find out it's going to cost the room $6 bucks and you the heartache of realizing it isn't liquid caramel like the label suggested. For (me) the kid it was blech! and a stern warning from Dad to "never drink such things!" Unbeknownst to Dad, twenty years later my eyes go sparkly whenever I see a wide selection of them. BEWARE OF BEVMO DECEPTIVE PRICING! I stopped into BevMo recently having not shopped there for several years. I picked up a bottle of Calif brandy with a marked price of $22.99. I regularly buy this product at other locations for around $19-20. I was asked if I was a BevMo member which I am not. The price immediately rose $4.00 PLUS TAX. Most companies post the regular price, not their club price. The price out the door for a $22.99 bottle was $29.49! Another inconvenience was that I was asked to remove my drivers license from my wallet which the clerk scanned. I've never had this happen before. On leaving, I was asked if I wanted to join their club. My response: "No thanks I'll not be back". It's back to Bottle Barn for me. read more

Bevmo is a rather interesting store. They do have a large variety of adult beverages and a nice selection of sodas. There is very little here that you can't find in other stores. Mostly obscure wine labels both domestic and abroad. Their prices are comparable with all the grocery stores. You can find some deals, but mostly on off brands. I personally like them for the variety of NA beer they carry. Again no real price savings but I can get a case of NA beer instead of just a couple of six packs. I must say, it is a fun store to check out. If your local store doesn't have what you are looking for, I'm sure you'll find it here. The go to for any party stock up. Now I remember what walking into a candy store felt like. This place is packed with all sorts of goodies that you never knew you actually needed. An awesome selection of craft beers and wines from around the world. If you cant find that coveted beer that you heard about, someone always says "I bet BevMo has it". I would give a zero if possible. The cashier is either racist or has a significant amount of implicit bias against black people. This morning at about 9:30 I was buying a bottle of single malt scotch as a gift. Their was a white woman in front of me who checked out without showing ID or asking what her age was or anything. She literally looks the same age or younger than me. I go to check out this expensive glenmorangie bottle and give my number for my BevMo account which pops up. She sees that I have an account, asks to see my ID and scans the back of my ID, all of which I have no problem with as long as it's done to other customers. If I wasn't in a rush and buying it as a gift I would not have purchased it. Will never go back to BevMo. read more

worst service ever when you trying to have a good time. my bf and I were trying to purchase some tequila and when we asked an employee who just finished smoking from his break, if it was this exact one because he knew the bottle but not the case he didn't give no eye contact, no friendly tone, no smile nothing, he seems angry at us for asking a simple question.. like it was such a vibe kill.
