Horrible service. Their store policies are absolutely absurd and they refused to sell me alcohol for 24 hours because my fiancé did not have her ID when I the guy who was paying and had his id went to purchase alcohol. I dropped her off at home, came back and they still refused to sell it to me claiming they had to wait 24 hours prior to selling to me. BUT, the customer ahead of me, gentleman who looked like he was in his 20's... Never carded him, no ID asked for what so ever. I went in for some tequila, that is all. I'm not a pet person by far because I grew up not able to have them because of my allergies. So I don't get amused when a strangers dog jumps on me. On top of that I'm exhausted. It sniffed once. Fine then followed me. Hhmmpph. The owner called it then it followed me again sniffing me. It jumped on me twice. Not interested. I would hope that's not normal practice to have someone's pet running around the store to customers. I didn't even care to use my discount because I just wanted to get out smdh. Pretty disappointed. We love coming here for the great selection; however, we ordered a keg and were told a certain price then we were called the day before we were to pick it up and told they couldn't get it. No biggy, we'd get something similar. They told us what they had and were not told that they new cider was $20+ more, we didn't find it until they rang us up. Tried at least 7-8 times from Sat. night until Sun. AM to pay for an online order. Every time, my card was declined because of "address verification." Have lived same place 24 yrs. Tried a different card, on 2 diff. computers. Same result. Website says they have live chat starting 11:00 am Sun. Attempted to use their chat helpline at 11:23 AM. The loading circle started spinning, saying it was connecting to an agent. Waited 11 minutes, circle still spinning, no agent. Closed chatline, opened it again on diff. computer with diff. browser. Same bull-spinning loading circle & "connecting with live agent." 9 min. later, no agent. Perhaps Bevmo's IT & customer service rep's spend their work shifts chugging down the stores wares & cannot perform their assigned tasks. If you're in the area and looking for a good liquor selection this is a good place. If you are anywhere near a Total Wine and More, go there instead. Total Wine has a massive and much better selection. The prices here seem to be pretty competitive and they have a member club which offers email and discounts which is nice. There's nothing inherently wrong with this place except they don't have the real estate and selection that Total Wine does. read more

I am from Southern California and frequented BevMo there. I was happy to find out there were going to be some store openings up here. This is the closet one to me (20 min. drive) and I happen to be in the area so I stopped in. I was a bit disappointed in the selection as it was a bit more scarce then the ones in California. read more

Customer service was great - I purchased some martini glasses in a hurry and didn't check them closely. When I got home I noticed some were chipped at the rim - I went back a few hours later (with receipt), and they happily replaced all the chipped glasses - the clerk also checked all of the other glasses on the shelf to make sure they were also serviceable. We did have an issue similar to another poster where one person in our party didn't have ID for a purchase - that was a bit of a drill, but Bevmo! cannot be held responsible for silly state laws...we simply learned to make sure everyone has ID before going into the store. This is my go to store for Wine! Their selection is great but the best part is that they have the absolute best customer service. I have NEVER been disappointed! I recently sent my mom to this Bevmo to get me something specific. Manny was extremely helpful. I cannot believe how he went out of his way to assist her. Fuck Bevmo. Craig helped take my reservations when I called, I was calling in reference to what was currently at the store in the way of kegs. I didn't want to drive to the store and not get what I came for! Craig says it's there. I'm driving from key peninsula, and have to pay a toll on the narrows to get to tacoma. We get there, and not only is there no keg, their selection of available kegs is laughable. So pissed. They wouldn't give me a discount or anything to make up for lost time, lost mileage, lost gas, and overall frustration. I will never shop at this poor man's 'wine and beer' again. Be careful when shopping here the price shown isn't the real price. They show their own price called the "BEVMO" pricing. Read the small print for the real price. I got the ol bait and switch and it wasn't explained very well as checking out and I felt something wasn't right. Didn't even figure it out until I pulled out the calculator. Terrible management, dis-courteous, not a good buy So, I put my name in for a chance to buy some Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, and then when they get it in they decide to raffle it at 8:00 a.m. on a Thursday. So everyone with a job was screwed out of chance. So I have my wife go to the store. She gets there at 8:03 where she is told by the cashier, sorry, you are too late. She gets in car at 8:05 and leaves. I call store manager ROBERT MOORE and he tells me nobody was turned away and he didn't start until 8:10. He then went on to say that my wife must be lying. The other BevMo just put the Pappy on the shelf and first come first serve. Only a true Bourbon fan would even think to buy this product to begin with. He was incredibly unprofessional. The customer service was non-existent. Their prices are not anything special. You would do better ordering online from out of state, yes, many places will ship it. When I told him I would be frequenting his store as a customer, he said good. What kind of a smartass response is this? At no time did he apologize for the mix up or any dissatisfaction on our part. He was more interested in justifying this ridiculous raffle during the middle of the week. Total assclown if you ask me, and dishonest as well, as people were turned away. My wife could hear them in back talking because the raffle hadn't started and the cashier would give her a raffle ticket because it was after 8:00. What a dumbass idea hold a raffle for booze at 8 in the morning on a workday. Why not do it on Saturday, but then again this is the same store that has employee meetings at 8:00 on a Sunday morning so they can screw their employees out of a Saturday night out, and a Sunday morning in. Probably the widest beer selection in Tacoma, but unfortunately will not be going back to them unless it is for a growler because they are too pricy. They used to price match with Total Wine, which is consistently a better deal, but that is no longer the policy. I'll be stocking up there instead. read more

On the plus side, the selection is very good BUT the prices are extremely high. To illustrate, I purchased a bottle of rum that was on sale ($2 off) at this BevMo but later that day found the same Rum at Walgreens for $2 cheaper then the BevMo sale price. I thought everything in the store particularly beer and wine were way too expensive. From now on, I'll go to Costco for all my alcoholic purchases. Received whiskey stones for Christmas. They do not cool drinks as advertised and I wanted to return them. I had a receipt but no box. Clerk says he can not refund without being able to sell them to the next customer. Really, I had them in whiskey at my home and you want to sell them to someone else.
