I went to this shop for my daughter's birthday tattoo on my shoulder. My husband had originally made the appointment but couldn't make it, so I went instead. The artist John became extremely rude "even though I was a returning costumer"- he started yelling and refused to do my tattoo just because the appointment wasn't under my name. He then sent me to another artist who unfortunately did a poor-quality job. I left feeling disrespected and upset. I wouldn't recommend this shop due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of respect for customers. After the Birds won Super Bowl 59 I needed to commemorate it . It took John 3.5 hours and it was worth every minute. I get so many compliments on the detail. While I was there I had my 30 year old tattoo touched up and he also did an excellent job on that one. I don't think that I can recommend Bewitched Tattoo highly enough. read more

I have been heart-broken since my Spencer boy had to be put down 5 days before his 19th birthday. Came in on a whim to get some ear piercings, and it must have been my lucky day because the owner John immediately fit me in! While I was there, someone called for a tattoo and he was booking out to December! That's when you know you are good! John and the other girl there were so nice and funny! Let me begin by saying this review does not reflect John the owner's skills in specific. This review reflects his tolerance in Carley's lack of skill and over confidence in her prices. I'm expecting the passing of my childhood cat, Dottie, soon and I wanted her to see her memory via tattoo on my thigh. I sat with Carley for a walk in, and by sat I mean waiting 5 hours total, with small progress being made in between two scheduled clients. Her willingness to work in between clients was appreciated, but she bit off more than she could chew. My tattoos do not reflect a 10 hour day. She struggled to understand what I asked of her for the sketch portion, and when we reached a tattoo I finally could submit to, she strayed off the agreed path and gave me a tattoo more reflective of her original idea. It was a black silhouette of a cat. The change in design would have been more tolerable had the outline been filled in properly. The blacked out portion would be more properly described as lightly shadowed in. It immediately looked twenty years old. Shortly after the tattoo she admitted she was an apprentice, giving us no prior warning. After seeing our disappointment with the poor tattoos, her only solution was to offer my friend and me free T shirts (free advertising). Upset as I was, I reached out to the owner, John, via his instagram. I received no response. I would have loved to have communicated these problems with him however that was not possible. I have already gotten this tattoo fixed at Walls of Wonder in Dover. the artist did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to everyone, as I'm sure anyone else would! TLDR: I got a really bad tattoo by someone who was secretly an apprentice and was offered zero consolation not, not even a response from the owner. read more

Two things... First, I'm stunned there aren't more reviews for this establishment, but whatever. Second, all I can say is WOW. John took the best care of me. He was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. I kid you not, he's the fourth artist I've had, and by far the best. My others were great, but John's demeanor, personality, and attention to detail topped them by far. He did the most amazing job with my two tattoos - - one was new, and the other was a touch-up. He actually noticed some minor design flaws with the one he touched up (some I never noticed before), made suggestions, and now it looks better than ever. Love Bewitched Tattoo! I was on a small weekend getaway with my girlfriends and I have been wanting a small tattoo for quite some time now. On a rainy afternoon we just so happen to stroll into Bewitched, unplanned. Even though it was a busy weekend at the beginning of the summer season, the team at Bewitched fit me in as soon as they could! I was extremely nervous and totally skeptical about tattoos and tattoo parlors, however- John, the owner, and his fellow tattoo artists made me feel so comfortable. Most importantly, Bewitched runs a clean, professional and authentic business. With genuine creativity, cleanliness and visible certificates and credentials, I couldn't be happier with my first tattoo experience. I showed John an idea of what I wanted, and then I explained a little more in depth about what I really wanted since we had to alter some parts of the design. He drew up a sketch and I loved it! Even though my tattoo was small and simple- just shop minimum, they took care of me and made sure I was a satisfied customer. All three of my girlfriends sat in the room with me as Bewitched brought my tattoo aspirations to life. We listened to great music, joked and laughed and my best friend held my hand most of the time. It will always be a fun memory! Even more- my friend has a tattoo that she wants to cover up with a new design and they even took the time to give her a quick consultation about what could be done to cover it up and how much it would cost! After our visit to Bewitched, my friends deemed me the vacation bad-bitch, and they liked my tattoo so much they too wanted tattoos and we sat on the beach all day looking up designs and inspiration for their own future body art. John made sure he went over proper care and follow up before I left. My tattoo healed very well, and very fast. No complications, nothing! I love my tattoo and I would definitely recommend Bewitched- especially to shy tattoo newbies like me!
