Barely any wait, and everyone was nice. We got a little confused at first trying to find the right room, but that was fine. Only *bad* thing that happened was I forgot I had a pocketknife keychain thing when I went through security, so they had to toss that. Nbd though I really didn't use it. When you become a victim of crime, you very quickly begin to see why crime in San Antonio is on the…read morerise. With an understaffed police force and a lax district attorney's office, IF you get caught, you'll likely get a light sentence is the takeaway. After having a high-dollar theft committed against me, it took almost a year to hear an update on the case. That came in the form of a phone call where they asked what I wanted done and I explained that because of the dollar amount of the crime and the way it was committed (as watched back on camera) this was obviously not her first time so she should receive the max punishment. The Assistant DA countered with she has no record so we're likely to just give her probation. I was looking at the phone like why are you even calling me then? I lost YEARS of data on top of the high cost of the property itself. And to give you an idea of what people think of this person -- the camera video was not very clear. Yet, I'm supposed to have sympathy for someone that could've at a minimum turned in the property or been helpful in tracking it down. Everyone wants sympathy and compassion AFTER the crime but they don't think about the people they're victimizing by COMMITTING the crime. They took the video to her family and several of her family members identified her. That only comes to mind when they're caught and facing consequences -- which the lesson learned here was there are no consequences, really. So the Assistant DA explained that they cut her lose on bond, so now they have to relocate her and re-arrest her for the punishment part of the trial. I never heard anything else, but it's looking like she got probation and restitution. They called me requesting for me to call them back so they can mail me the restitution check and I've called FIVE times, all go to voice mail with no call-back. Dealing with the DA's office is like being victimized a second time because you realize the wheels of justice spin at a glacial pace and at every turn too. Beyond that trying to navigate all the city services websites and phone numbers that are setup like everyone is an insider on this stuff is also a royal pain. Instead of having a modern phone system with extensions and "press XYZ" they just spit off names, departments and numbers as part of a long, pre-recorded message so have a pen and paper ready when you call.

I have moved at least 3 times and there is always something to get rid of. This is THEE PLACE to do it. I can't tell you how many times I look out at my apartment complex and people always leave there bulk trash for their maintenance crew to clean up. That is inconsiderate and disrespectful. I'm a guy that cares about my neighborhood and it's appearance. I also care about disposing of trash and junk the proper way. Respect the environment. The staff that is running this place is very professional and courteous. You do need to be from the area, and you have to show proof that you are a local resident. I had to get rid of a bed/mattress, the staff gave me clear directions what to do, I unloaded the mattress and was out of there in less then 8 mind tops. So easy and felt good.

I've tried to get my TX license at this location five times and arrived at 230pm each time. They…read moresaid they were not excepting any more people. Yesterday I got there at 1pm and I got in line online. I got in the queue finally! I sat there for 30 minutes and they started to tell people coming in that they were no longer taking any more people and return on Tuesday. They are open on Monday. And they close at 5pm. I'm pretty sure our taxes goes to paying government employees. At 3pm, they finally called my number. It was a quick process from there. However they were having conversations in the open. A young man said, "what are we gong to do? Should we open it up?" The older larger women with short dark brown hair said, "no I live in San Antonio and I want to get home." The African American woman said, "no I want to get out of here before 5." It was 3pm and there were only two more people behind me. So as other people trickled in, they were forced to take them in. There were five employees standing around doing nothing as each citizen waits 2-5 hours! Taking time from their busy work life. And these lazy employees who receive a paycheck from our taxes, can't even do their job! I want the right to fire them. If I ran that department, I would fire these ladies and have the most efficient department making good use of tax payers money! I don't like to give these type of reviews no matter how unhappy I am with a business but this review was warranted. I was upset for other people being turned away and the five times I was turned away.
