Extremely disappointed. Will be contacting BBB and Troy/Maryville Chamber of Commerce and FTC…read more Spoke with owner about bringing parts in. He explained he looses mark up when this happens. Advised I would be happy to pay Mark up so he doesn't loose money. Explained I understand he has to pay his guys and make a living. Told him I was happy to pay what ever he charges so he can make what he needs to make. Agreeded to this verbally on the phone (explained how he had trouble with his brother in laws firebird and had to push it out on the street for him to come get). He may be good at what he does but does not seem like he can make up his mind. When a customer explains he understands the mark up process and is willing to pay that plus what ever owner needs to make profit on labor and is still messed around that equals bad business. My suggestion is if you "don't need the money" and only work 3 days a week because your semi retired maybe it's time to hang it up and stop doing work. Highly disappointed in our agreement then he backs out. All I can say is better have a written agreement with this gentleman before you order parts. Also I ordered Thuren and Dynatrac parts and during our conversation he tells me he doesn't carry these brands because he can't mark up since they run so high priced. He explained how he knew the owner of Dynatrack and he had parts on his crawler from them. Said all the parts I ordered are high quality (no like rough country). I literally told you to mark it up as much as you needed and charge what ever you need on labor that I just wanted someone who knows what they are doing and you said if you could make what you had to make you would do it. Bought the parts and now he won't honor his agreement to do the work. We talked for 15 min about the parts I ordered and I explained I would highlight the instructions and I even called Thuren and spoke to their tech and he agreeded to answer any questions for free with a live person phone call. They answer the first time you call and don't mess you around. I have attached call log. We talked for nearly 20 min about you being ok with our agreement! REALLY POOR WAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS!

GDS 4X4, MARYVILLE; DO NOT give this man your business. Sincerely…read more I have a PhD in Behavioral Science. Condescending, patronizing; I have never met such a rude mechanic in my 50 years. This man had the audacity to ridicule me over the problems that were wrong with my car. As if I was a mechanic and knew what was going wrong with my car. We were so put off by this man's unprofessionalism that we had to take our business elsewhere. Next I plan on reporting him to the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the headache. Avoid this guy. I've been using Buzz's for years and wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else! I've even gotten…read moreeveryone in my family to use them. Their customer service is on point, you will always pay what is quoted or below, and yes, they always call before doing a service, after diagnosing your car to make sure it's something you can afford, and if it's not, they might even give a Band-Aid option if there is a Band-Aid option to give. I've worked with every mechanic throughout the years, with different cars when my main mechanic. (Jeff, who deserves an awesome review of his own) is unable to get my car or one of my kids cars in and I need it fixed ASAP and have yet to have a single bad experience in the 14 years I have been using them. They are very decently priced, (except on oil changes, because with their expertise, you're gonna be paying a little bit more than Valvoline, that's just how mechanic shops work though), and don't try to sell you more than what you need. They get your car in, they diagnose your issue and they fix it after you consent to having it fixed. They're so great that they don't even have to advertise, because word of mouth and their reputation in Collinsville speaks for itself. Sometimes you might have to wait a week or two to be able to get your car in, because they are that good, but once they get your car in, you will have it back within a day or two (and that's only cause they have to wait for parts). You are their number one customer when your turn comes up and they are worth the wait if you can hold out. I think the longest I've ever had to wait though was a week and a half to get a car in, and in emergent situations, (like when my dad's truck died and he had the only working vehicle for himself and my 93-year-old grandmother to get around in), they fit you in same day/next day, in between other appointments,, to make sure you have a working vehicle. Now that just might be because they knew my father by then and knew his situation, but that's also what you get with a small town auto shop is familiarity. I have multiple cars, so I'm willing to wait a few weeks for them to fit me in and wait for Jeff since he knows my personal vehicle the best as he's the one who's worked on it since the day I bought it. Admittedly, I am probably one of the reasons why it takes a week or two to get your car in, because I am the person people turn to when looking for a service because they know I've vetted the area and have already picked out the best of the best, so when I get asked about auto repair, I send them to Buzz's, so I probably shot myself in the foot with getting my car in within a few days, like it was when I first moved here a decade and a half ago, lol. But I promise you, they are worth it. Trust them, because out of all the places I've lived (used to be military family), and all the mechanics I've had to use throughout my 30+ years of car ownership, they are the one place I would say I trust completely. I'd also like to point out that I am a very tiny, dainty female, who looks like she would be taking advantage of at a mechanic shop, but thankfully, my father taught me enough about cars to know when a fast one's being pulled over on me, and yes, I have had to deal with that in the past with different mechanics, but never once at Buzz's, with any of their mechanics, have I had that happen. So when I say you can trust them, I mean, 100% you can trust them with your vehicle and know you are getting the best value, for what you need fixed, and it will be fixed completely and in the best way possible, to fix your needs and budget

Best mechanics and service around ! A great experience thanks to Scott and the guys . I'll be back !read more
