Frida turkey sandwich

My family and I visited from out of state. What I loved most was the fact we got to pick our seats. It is such a beautiful and peaceful restaurant, the gift shop was also so cute! and my sandwich was enough for 2 ppl!

After a long hike, we were starving and stumbled upon this gem. We ordered two sandwiches: Brad's Beef - roast beef, provolone, green chiles, red onion, and Russian dressing. We got it on the jalapeño cheddar bread, and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend switching to that bread--so much flavor. Rex's Revenge - chicken, shaved Parmesan, lettuce, tomato, and Caesar dressing on focaccia. Make sure to ask for extra Cesar dressing. It was a little dry. The ambience was great--there was a live band playing while we ate, which added such a fun vibe. For dessert, we grabbed a chocolate chip cookie. It was soft, gooey, and hit the spot. It's a small town with limited dining options, so expect a bit of a wait--but it's worth it. We'd absolutely come back!

Okay veggie sandwich but expensive.

Fine since it was the only thing available but we wouldn't return unless we had to again. The Mac n cheese was super greasy chewy cheese and very little pasta for the price. The veggie sandwich was alright, but expensive also. The extra side salad for 3 dollars more was not worth it at all. The biggest piece of lettuce looked like it had been frozen and was soggy instead of crunchy. I don't think it should have made it to the plate.

Good sandwiches on mt. lemmon! im glad they have a restaurant on the mountain now! They charged for water though which was strange and the chips were open when i got them. The prices were a little high but overall it was a good meal. The cabin is super cute and a nice place to eat!

Rueben sandwich with chips

Been here a few times now. Mostly for treats and hot cocoa, but this time I went for lunch. Staff was friendly as always, food didn't take that long to come out. I love their location as you are in the Mt. Lemmon Lodge. They provide games to play and just a beautiful outdoor seating area with big tables and some spots have propane fireplaces. My only gripe is that you have to purchase something to use the bathroom because they only give the code at the bottom of the receipt. They have the bathroom doors locked requiring a code to unlock. Is there a lot of people that just come to the lodge to use their bathrooms? I guess. Anyway, this time I got a Reuben sandwich. It was made with pastrami which I prefer over the corned beef ones. It wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable either. The sandwich was dry and the pastrami lacked enough flavor and the sauerkraut lacked zest. I've had several Ruebens from different restaurants across the USA and this one is just ok. Prices were very reasonable for the sandwiches I do want to try some of the other sandwiches just make sure it isn't just the reuben. The dessert I had was the brownie. It was good and a great price but way too rich and overly sweet. They need to balance the desserts better, IMHO. The have other desserts like pies and scones. They look very appealing. This place serves beer which is a great option. I think it's perfect for the lodge. I also think their hot cocoa is the right level of not too sweet.

Note: this review was from December 2023. This location is quite unique as it is in the mountain town of Summerhaven on Mt Lemmon. It has a roomy interior seating area and a very large outdoor patio equipped with heaters, a small fire-pit,a few games (shuffleboard, foosball, corn hole). The menu was fairly basic with limited items (choices of bread and only one soup), but generally the food was good, typical of the Beyond Bread chain. They also served a few beer & wine options. Service was slow as they have some staffing issues, but they were very courteous and apologetic about the wait. The decor and ambiance for the location was great, but would have preferred a more unique (non-chain) dining experience.

The bathroom code is 2468. The food was alright. Just bought a BOBS BLT for the bathroom code and for my hike.

I was quite disappointed in the experience for many reasons. And would not go back or recommend…read morethis unless I experienced improvements I feel are both supportive of my own experience but others too. Immediately upon hearing the cost I was shocked. Nearly $18 bucks post tip, which wasn't worth the service, size, portioning and taste. We ordered two cappuccinos (mind I remind anyone that a cappucino is traditionally a small 4-5 ounce serving or equal parts espresso/milk/foam) and what we got was to me, two lattes. The smallest 'cappucino' is a 16oz, the milk was foamed and the espresso tasted burnt. The service was okay. The staff was younger. The space okay. It has two benches outside uncovered and not readily taken but anyone. It a cute little place and has so much potential truly. A few changes and a little more intention and this could be a coffee haven in summer haven. I think about the amount of tourist coming through this great place of Tucson/lemmon and either getting things and feel disappointed or just unknowingly getting things that aren't worth the money and don't really represent in a inviting way. I hope more for it.

It's nice to have a place to grab a coffee (hot or iced) while strolling thru Summerhaven…read more(Mt.Lemmon). There is one picnic table and so don't count on sitting around to have your drink. Expect a bit of a wait because it's just one person doing it all ( and mind you this space is not large and you more than 1 barista can get a little too crammed). But for one person, she was reasonably quick and the wait no more than some coffee joints with more than one person slinging drinks. I was genuinely surprised the drink had a little caffeine kick ( sometimes I find coffee trucks/ drive thrus to overdo it on the flavor versus having good espresso). Nothing fancy. They offer alternative milk options. Prices are reasonable for location/ tourist spot. Not a place I would drive to Summerhaven specifically for nor would I rate it the same if it was in San Diego for example. But it's not a chain joint, it's access to coffee in the mountains and service was super nice. I will be visiting again the next time I am in Summerhaven.

There's a separate building you can buy local retail, as well as a café where I ordered a dirty Horchata (not realizing it had coffee lol), a sandwich with fries, and one of the baked desserts (a brownie with something I can't remember lol). All the food was great. As a french fry lover, I have to say that the fries were fantastic! Once you order, you're able to find a place to sit, and the food is brought to you. I would def return!

I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

The ice cream was quite tasty & more creamy than most places which is a big plus. The flavors were good and well crafted. My favorites were the pralines and cream to which I added hot fudge.
