Had breakfast one morning while in town. A popular spot, very busy with only morning hours. Closes at 2pm. We grabbed a booth walking in and a server brought us menus. Old school diner style with a wall of booths and a short bar with stools. We gave the menu a good once over, its extensive so just about any tastebuds are covered here. Eggs numerous ways, breakfast burritos, pancakes and such, biscuits and gravy. I had an omelette with hash browns and rye toast. Pretty straight forward, the omelette was big and good, the hash browns crispy and plentiful, the rye toast was served buttered and was okay. All in in, a decent enough breakfast place. It met our needs and served its purpose. 3.5 Stars rounded up for our kind server 01160

Convenient location, easy parking. Ambiance/Cleanliness-Room is a depressing box. Pretty sure nobody comes here for the ambiance. Every DMV i have ever been to was more welcoming. Clean enough...2 stars. Service-perfection. Got everything I needed, service with a smile. 5 stars Food. I got the Reuben. It was on point, decent meat, good flavor and a side of tasty coleslaw. 4 stars. I would absolutely go back.

Such an excellent service breakfast lunch cafe in Northwest Tucson area, ordering a freshly California Omelette and coffee!!! Avocados were so fresh and grilled cheese omelette was right on with home fried potatoes... what a full meal with toasts jams and coffee with French vanilla cream!!! It's pack on weekdays morning, a mom n pops small home café!!

Your typical diner ( breakfast and lunch) but with options for some Mexican food options and really nice service. The chicken fried steak (beef) was huge and breaded just right. Cappy's special breakfast comes with 3 different proteins and eggs cooked your way (plus hash browns). My favorite however were their pancakes ....yummy! Small area and so not a lot of seating but they are quick with bringing out your food and so table turnover is pretty good. Ample parking available.

A nice affordable choice for this area that doesn't have a lot of sit down breakfast places. We were able to go in and get seated right away. The food was really reasonably priced and very generous. No one left hungry, for sure. It took a few minutes before any checked on us but once we got going everyone was very attentive, checking back to see if we needed anything and making sure our drinks were topped off. There were so many things to choose from from the menu, I'll definitely be going back to try more things. You can order from either the breakfast or lunch menu at any time. Definitely worth visiting. One call out, for anyone looking for liver on a menu, they have it here. I know that can be hard to find so I wanted to make sure I mentioned it.

Call me a fan, call me fat & happy, call me for breakfast! We tried Cappy's for breakfast yesterday on a whim and boy are we glad we did! Cute, little place in a strip mall on Prince - the place is kind of nondescript but I'm just fine with that. We were told to sit anywhere so we chose a comfy booth and were waited on promptly and given nice, hot coffee. My guy likes flavored creamer so when our server asked if we wanted some and responded positively, she brought out the big ole pump container and left it at the table, LOL. My guy and I did create your own omelettes. I had green chile, cheese and sausage in mine - topped with avocado. It was perfection - and HUGE. I selected biscuits and gravy as my side which I really didn't eat but my husband sampled it. He did a create your own as well but I don't remember what his was made of but will tell you that he loved it. He had toast, hash browns and bacon with his meal. Everything was really good and the service was impeccable. Prices were great to boot.

This place was great! Breakfast & lunch served all day. Food was outstanding, hot & the price was good. Hubby had the chicken fried steak with hash browns & raisin toast. Also could have chosen biscuits and gravy or pancakes. I had the Huevos Rancheros with refried beans & tortilla. It was all sooo delicious!! Staff was friendly too. Highly recommend!

The food is delicious and they give you a lot I had the Fried Chicken and my sister had the Cappy breakfast special. Make sure you visit this place

Excellent example of a diner. Extensive menu, good food, and really good table service. They have it going. I'm sure I met the owner; how do I know? She was as happy as can be. Clean bathroom thanks for that. At 1130 on a Saturday we had to wait but the tables turn quickly. Visit when you're in the area.

This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

It's a very casual place staffed by kind and welcoming students, and the food is genuinely good. The Smoked Salmon Beni stood out in the reviews, and it did not disappoint when I finally got to try it. I'll be attaching a photo, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I also noticed the shaved steak sandwich on the menu and in several Yelp photos, so I'll definitely have to come back and try that next. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and overall character of the place.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt.
