Marana Airport location. Food is good and the old homestyle ambiance flows with the home-cooked style menu. Visiting a couple of times with my partner, I found it's not a good idea if a large group comes right after you are seated because you will be served AFTER the server takes their orders. Ventured out there for the first time and I was not disappointed. It was very busy, but our waitress took great care of us. Everyone else had breakfast, but I had a wrap. I want to preface this by saying, I very rarely give such low scores to restaurants. However, this one was warranted. I ordered to go on a Sunday morning. I was told for three meals it would be a 40 minute wait, but I always want to support a local business, and I was told it was really busy, so I agreed to wait for it. I got to the restaurant way before my meal was ready, but that was okay. I noticed that the hostess was short with patrons coming in, but I chalked it up to the team being overwhelmed. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I heard a commotion. Two staff members were arguing about where my order was. More arguing occurred, and I began to feel uncomfortable. They pointed at me and said, "That was her order!" Apparently, they gave my order to someone else and tried to catch them before they left. I understand, accidents happen, they were busy. But I was really disappointed about the whole situation. Another man walked in with to go boxes, and shared that he got the wrong order. Rather than making me fresh food, they repackaged what he had already opened and gave it to me. They apologized and gave me my food, but I didn't love that someone else had taken my food home, opened it, and then I got it back about 20-30 minutes later. Also, there was a short black hair in my home fries. Everything needed to be reheated at home, and I was bummed. We won't be back. read more

This place is fantastic! I brought my son here for lunch and my husband met us on his way home from work. He was running late but the staff was amazing and patient with me. All of the food we ordered was delicious and fresh. This is the kind of local cafe you want to have nearby! Delicious food that has that home cooked vibe or comfort food feeling. I love a good open faced sandwich or chicken fried steak. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. It's also off the beaten path as I don't go by the Marana airport very often. Wow! What a fun hidden gem! We stopped by for lunch after a day of exploring the near by Saguaro National Park and were pleasantly surprised by this cafe! Fast service, attentive and delicious food! I've always enjoyed eating here until today. I've always believed in supporting small businesses. Today (3/10/26) my friend and I stopped for breakfast. We sat by the back door close to the gate to the tarmac. I've always enjoyed airplanes and as we ate our breakfast I noticed a plane sitting way off in the distance that I couldn't recognized from where we sat. When we were done eating, we walked out to the back fence to get a closer look. As we were looking through the fence the waitress opens the back door and started yelling like a banshee -- she thought we were going to skip out without paying. First of all, it was embarrassing to me because there were several customers around. More importantly do you actually think we would leave without paying! Is this how you trust your customers? Doesn't say much for you, does it? I've eaten here several times but NEVER again! One bad or embarrassing experience and you lose a customer forever! read more

Sky Rider is a little cafe located inside the Marana Airport property. It is open from 6 am to 2 pm and serves breakfast and lunch. The servers are friendly and treat everyone like regulars. I usually order the Philly Cheesesteak. It comes with lots of fries and what tastes like a homemade dill pickle. My wife loves the Patty Melt which comes with grilled onions and cheese on rye bread. Same fries and pickle included. Food is served quickly and hot. We can both eat for about $20. I have never tried these but at the counter they have cinnamon rolls topped with bacon. They look yummy and one of these days i am going to try one. There are a lot of interesting photos of various historical airplanes including Howard Hughes' flying boat, The Spruce Goose. These museum quality pictures are worth at least one visit. There are very few places to eat in the area so it would be nice if they were open for dinner. I think they did try it at one time but for some reason they stopped doing it. They do take out orders which we've done a few times. The cafe is a nice clean friendly place to grab a quick breakfast or lunch at reasonable prices. You should stop and give them a try. I think you will quickly become a regular. read more
