A friend of mine suggested Sky rider Coffee Shop for breakfast this morning, as she lives nearby this place. It only took me 24 min from mid-town to get there via I10 and besides the pretty drive off the freeway 5 miles with mountain and desert scenic beauty , it was an easy spot to find. The service friendly and the place bustling at 9 on arrival. The wood framework and many aviation pictures, propeller blocks on the wall and mural inside kept the eyes happy in this very comfy, casual and warm atmosphere here. Wow. Prices were so reasonable! Got the "create your meal with 4 items" with the 2 eggs, bacon, cottage cheese and toast. Delicious! This does not disappoint in any way- easy parking, easy to find, friendly service, great food and affordable. Well worth it and highly recommend! read more

I have been to Sky Rider Cafe for years. I have always loved their food and staff. Recently I went in with my Daughter, grand daughter and my 3 great grandchildren. What I noticed when I first walked in was it wasn't extremely busy. It was 12:30pm, I was happy to see they weren't extremely busy. I know to just chose a table. The only table that was available to fit my family had not been cleared. So I walked to the front to see if someone could clear it for us. I was told to just find a table. I said I know but the one we need is dirty. So I went back to the table and my grand Daughter had started removing the dishes. I thought what a great idea and I walked back up front to get a dish cloth to wipe the table because the three young children have already been seated. I go back up to ask for Dish rag from some dark haired lady (not the word I'd like to use) she started snapping at me. I follow her back to our table and I started to move the table full of dishes that we didn't need while she wiped the table. That's when she got real nasty to me. At that point I decided I was done and got my family up from the table and we left. Not sure who that woman was but whoever owns that place need to keep her out of there! We went to Bisbee Breakfast and had a nice meal and was greeted as we should have at Sky Rider. I can't believe we were treated so badly. We had three hungry children and needed to get them seated. Not once did I act badly to have that B_tch act the way she did. IF I ever go back and she is in there, I'll turn around and leave. read more

Food- was pretty good all things considered. I got a green chili turkey sammich. Went with a good sized group and they didnt blink over accomodating us 10 folks. No one said anything negative about the food. Service was great, it was busy so our server was hustling around. Ambiance is what you would think for an airport diner type place. Ventured out there for the first time and I was not disappointed. It was very busy, but our waitress took great care of us. Everyone else had breakfast, but I had a wrap. I had the bacon chicken wrap with ranch dressing and it was phenomenal. I wasn't even all that hungry but couldn't stop myself. Marana Airport location. Food is good and the old homestyle ambiance flows with the home-cooked style menu. Visiting a couple of times with my partner, I found it's not a good idea if a large group comes right after you are seated because you will be served AFTER the server takes their orders. That means we became low priority for getting our order in. Large groups bring large tips. If you have all the time in the world to wait, go for it. The food is good. read more

I want to preface this by saying, I very rarely give such low scores to restaurants. However, this one was warranted. I ordered to go on a Sunday morning. I was told for three meals it would be a 40 minute wait, but I always want to support a local business, and I was told it was really busy, so I agreed to wait for it. I got to the restaurant way before my meal was ready, but that was okay. I noticed that the hostess was short with patrons coming in, but I chalked it up to the team being overwhelmed. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I heard a commotion. Two staff members were arguing about where my order was. More arguing occurred, and I began to feel uncomfortable. They pointed at me and said, "That was her order!" Apparently, they gave my order to someone else and tried to catch them before they left. I understand, accidents happen, they were busy. But I was really disappointed about the whole situation. Another man walked in with to go boxes, and shared that he got the wrong order. Rather than making me fresh food, they repackaged what he had already opened and gave it to me. They apologized and gave me my food, but I didn't love that someone else had taken my food home, opened it, and then I got it back about 20-30 minutes later. Also, there was a short black hair in my home fries. Everything needed to be reheated at home, and I was bummed. We won't be back. read more

This place is fantastic! I brought my son here for lunch and my husband met us on his way home from work. He was running late but the staff was amazing and patient with me. All of the food we ordered was delicious and fresh. This is the kind of local cafe you want to have nearby! Delicious food that has that home cooked vibe or comfort food feeling. I love a good open faced sandwich or chicken fried steak. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. It's also off the beaten path as I don't go by the Marana airport very often. This hidden jewel is amazing!! A neighbor who is working on her pilot's license recently recommended this place and we have now gone twice - once for breakfast and once for lunch. It reminds me of a small town diner. Nothing fancy, but the food, and especially the service, are both spectacular! Prices are great too! The restaurant is located at the Marana Airport giving customers a view of the runway and airport operations. Because it's at the airport, the location is somewhat off the beaten path but very worth the drive. I highly recommend!! read more

Wow! What a fun hidden gem! We stopped by for lunch after a day of exploring the near by Saguaro National Park and were pleasantly surprised by this cafe! Fast service, attentive and delicious food! My daughters were in awe with watching the planes from our window side table and loved the cute airplane themed decorations around the restaurant. Seemed to be a destination for a mix of cyclists, bikers, aviation enthusiasts, and more on the day we dropped by. I absolutely love this establishment. They service is great. The more you go the more they get to know by name. You feel like family. They prepare your food to your liking. Even putting my sunny side up eggs on top of the hash browns. You can't miss having either breakfast or lunch/early dinner. They open at 6am and close at 2pm I believe. I've always enjoyed eating here until today. I've always believed in supporting small businesses. Today (3/10/26) my friend and I stopped for breakfast. We sat by the back door close to the gate to the tarmac. I've always enjoyed airplanes and as we ate our breakfast I noticed a plane sitting way off in the distance that I couldn't recognized from where we sat. When we were done eating, we walked out to the back fence to get a closer look. As we were looking through the fence the waitress opens the back door and started yelling like a banshee -- she thought we were going to skip out without paying. First of all, it was embarrassing to me because there were several customers around. More importantly do you actually think we would leave without paying! Is this how you trust your customers? Doesn't say much for you, does it? I've eaten here several times but NEVER again! One bad or embarrassing experience and you lose a customer forever! read more
