This store is an absolute disaster from the moment you walk in. The customer service is nonexistent, and the atmosphere is completely unprofessional. I walked in and the sales girl on the floor -- literally standing there fixing racks -- looked right at me and didn't say a single word. No greeting, no acknowledgment, no offer to help. Just an attitude and silence. The woman behind the counter didn't say anything either. Two employees in the store and not one of them could manage a simple "hello." That's unacceptable in retail. The store itself looks thrown together and chaotic. Even if they were working on shipment, it does NOT excuse ignoring customers. A basic greeting is Retail 101 -- clearly they missed that training. And on top of everything, their online listing is wrong. They show the Market Street location photo but list the Century address. Messy store, messy staff, messy business. Beware!! The Inglewood store at the corner of Nutwood and Market street is crooked. Please check your receipt and bag before you leave the counter/store! The owner/cashier adds items that you didn't purchase. It is stealing from the customer! This is pure disgusting greed. Owner don't stab your customers in the back and make the honest paying customers pay for items you know they didn't buy! So I just left the store I was really looking to buy something trying to give them another chance because I saw in another location that they hired an African-American worker well this time around I go in and there are two Hispanic girls I'm the only African-American in the store and they're having a conversation about the Super Bowl the one with the red hair stated that other people were mad because they had two Latinas performing at the Super Bowl and it would've been better for us if we had city girls or somebody which she feels they were too ghetto for the Super Bowl I could've said something but I rather post about them and I walked out of the store how dare you make anything about race and everything about race people like them are the problem today not to mention bad customer service good job with who you hire read more

I visited this establishment in the beginning of August because I was taking a trip out of the country and hadn't bought anything yet. When I went in I saw so many things that I liked and the manager Judy was exceptional with picking things for my body type. I bought so many items and everything she picked fit beautifully. The same day maybe an hour later I returned and bought more items. The customer service was fantastic. I called my BFF and told her about it and she received the same excellent experience. Used to love getting plain tops or cute jean jackets from this store. The other day I went in since I haven't shopped here in a while. I'm not sure if the store is under new management but I noticed it was less workers than usual but the thing that shocked me the most was ....I was being followed around the store by one of the sales girl. When I came in I started looking around and then 10 minutes into being in the store, the worker asks me if I needed help. I politely told her no thank you and continued to look around. 10 minutes later I was asked again if I needed help, again I said no. Kept looking around and noticed they no longer offered the plain t-shirts I was looking for & before I could ask the sales person where they may have been moved to, I noticed her right behind me creeping. I decided to walk around just to make sure I was seeing correctly and for about 5 minutes she followed me around. Really expensive clothes here. They wanted $66 for a dress. $50 for a set (top & skirt). They do have some nice pieces in there but not for the prices that they were asking for. No thank you! I have shopped at Beyond Envy for years. Yesterday was the day I experienced, racism at its worst. My daughter and I were looking around in the store. There was also another lady with her two daughters shopping. When we were leaving I noticed the two sales women standing in one spot watching us. When my daughter and I got to the the front door it was locked. I have been shopping at establishment for so long I know the store close at 7 on sundays. Why are the doors locked at 5:30 The sales lady apologized . Therefore I went outside and taped the store to see exactly what time was the store was closing. After 6:30 when I called monday morning to speak to the manager the employee that was at the store Sunday answered. Absolute awful experiences here!!! One worker followed me through the store apparently thinking I was going to steal. It made me highly uncomfortable and disturbed me to know that the woman thought it was okay. On another occasion I had a few things in my hand I was about to buy and a different worker from the one that was following me asked if I needed a bag. I didn't know her true intentions so I gladly said yes. She never gave me a bag rather she kept the clothes at the register suggesting I keep looking around until I was ready to pay. It is clear this business prides themselves on using discriminative methods to keep their businesses afloat. Honestly I should have never went back after my first terrible experience but I was desperate and they have some very decent clothing.
