The team at the front desk was super accommodating and even recommended additional services that complimented my sugaring. Bailey was kind, polite, and--most importantly--professional. That might sound small, but in my experience, a lot of skin and body studios put more emphasis on attitude than expertise, when really both should matter. I'm not coming in because I need more friends; I'm coming in because I value skill and service from an industry professional. Since then, I've been back to S+B twice, including once at the Plano location, which I loved (but forget the esty's name). My third visit was just "okay," but I'm so glad my first experience was with Bailey because she really set the bar. Thanks to her, this is now my new go-to spot.

I never leave bad reviews until now…read more As someone who works in customer service, I understand that things can happen, and I'm usually extremely patient and understanding. That's why it really says a lot that I'm even writing this. I simply feel like people should know what to expect at Hello Sugar in Lakewood. My first visit was back in April 2025. The wax tech was kind, but the service wasn't done thoroughly I didn't realize until I got home and saw several missed spots around my bikini area. During that appointment, the waxer encouraged me to become a member, and I don't recall ever agreeing to sign up. Still, the next month, $55 was withdrawn from my account. I called to ask why, and was told I'd signed up for a membership. When I asked for a refund, they refused but said I could use the $55 as a credit for a future service. Fast forward to today: I called to see if I could still use that credit and was told yes. The receptionist offered two slots 4:30 or 4:40pm. I said I was 10 minutes away, and she told me to come in at 4:40. I arrived early at 4:30, and the waxer had her door open. I said hi multiple times she blatantly ignored me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, assuming she was finishing with a client. But after a while, she came out, took the trash out, then closed the door in my face. I approached and said, "Hi, I have an appointment," and she replied, "I don't have anyone else. Not my problem." & just had a nasty attitude. I was shocked. Their website says they close at 5pm she shut the door at 4:40. I called the number where I booked my appointment again, and at first they said my appointment wasn't booked, then changed the story and said it was "just a walk-in." The entire thing felt like an excuse to leave early. No accountability, no apology just a cold, dismissive attitude. I was just really disappointed because my job involves with a lot of traveling so im barely home & so finally the day that I was able to get a wax they turned me down very rudely. The receptionist tried to help me out by apologizing and reschedule me but I tried to explain that I don't even know when will I be back in Dallas due to my job. I will never return to Hello Sugar Lakewood. I just wanted to use the $55 they charged me without my clear consent. They were disorganized, rude, and completely unprofessional from start to finish. I hope they can improve their customer service and better train their staff.
