I went to the for the CPR class for animals!! It was awesome! I definitely recommend it! I have a cat and a small dog and I learned about how to save both of them if needed! It's a great course and you go learn so much! I definitely recommend this course! You get certified for 2 years! I also take my Sassy there to get groomed! They do a great job! I am amazed at all the negative feedback. I have always had a good experience here regardless of which vet was treating Chloe. We received an estimate to neuter Chloe and the charges turned out to be substantially LESS! I will say the practice of charging for mini checkups when coming in for a vaccination can add up, especially when administering a week apart. Other than that, I find the place to be spotless, the staff pleasant and professional and a trustworthy place to bring your pet. read more

I used to love this place when my dog was a puppy but when the pandemic hit, things changed. They charged me for things they couldn't do. They called me and said they couldn't do an ear cleaning or get in my dogs ears. But they charged me for an ear cleaning. And I brought it up to them and they said they did clean it. Also prices are extremely high. To get my dog neutered was gonna be over 700, I went elsewhere and got him neutered for 300. The price of an office visit should not be over $100. And if they say to bring them back in a week, the office visit should not be the same price as before. Bc I brought my dog in that day to get help on that day, I should not have to pay for another visit. Do not recommend this place. read more

They clipped my dog's ear while grooming and she was with the cone of shame for one month. Then they tried to charge me for pain meds. I took my pooch for stomach issues and diarrhea, they gave me meds and sent me home, no follow up and my pooch was still sick. I decided to change clinics. My pooch is finally well. I signed up for the dog medical insurance, but decided to cancel cause I was not happy with the clinical care. It's been a year since I cancelled and I just checked my credit card and they have been charging me all this time. I wanted a receipt but was reassured that it would be cancelled! BEWARE, insist on a receipt and check your credit card statement. The people were very professional and nice, but charging me for cancelled dog insurance and I'm not at this clinic any more is UNETHICAL and fraud. *****************UPDATED: I received a call from MVAH shortly after the review posted. I'm happy to see that there are companies out there that are concerned and do the right thing. It was explained to me that the insurance was canceled but that the recurring payments were not canceled. A mistake was made but they made it right and refunded the money that had been charged to date. Thank you. One should always check their credit card statements. read more

I have a 12 year old siamese seal point. He is a very loving cat. He has a chronic sinus issues. Because he is 12 I've been trying my best to keep him happy and out of pain. I've been taking Samson to Miami Valley animal hospital for around 2 maybe 3 years. The last time I took Sam, the Dr. gave him a shot. Within an hour Samson was back to his normal self. Was so happy. In the past, maybe Samson second visit I saw given a card for Raining Day Services. Was told that Raining day might be able to help me. I was also told that I could just bring Samson in for a shot. This past August 23rd 2019 I called MVA and asked about bring Sam in, the person on the phone told me to bring him in any time during business hours and have a tech give him the shot. I'd pay for the shot, Samson would be his happy self again. Told the person on the phone that I'd bring Sam in on Saturday could I get you hours, 8 to 12am Thanked her and hung up. I also thought I'd gave Raining day an email asking if they might be able to help Samson with the experience for future surgery if needed. I have email if needed, MVA has a site with raining day link to RD email. So I emailed them asking for help. This is when the problems started. Dr called me, telling me that they don't do walking. Emailing RD, was not proper procedure. Do not contact RD without going through the Dr. First. Dr. Said that she didn't give me authorization to contact Rainy Days Service. I tried to explain the situation, but she would not let me explain. I was in a Drs room during the phone call, I told her that I had to go. While I was going home the phone rang again it was the manager of MVA, Very forcefully telling me how wrong I was about the walk in for Samson that I have a 9:30 appointment on Saturday. I told him that I will not bring Sam in at 9:30am, I was in the process of walking in my apartment, told him I needed to call him back, hung up. About 5 minutes later I called back. When the receptionist got phone call, heard my voice, she scent me over to the manager so fast I couldn't get a word in. Manger on the phone quite forcefully told me that I could not get the shot unless I let the Dr see Samson and that was that. This phone call was degrading and so humiliating, that I hung up on him. I will not be told what I can and cannot do with my boy Samson. I'm in the process of looking for a new Veterinarian. My partner took one of our dogs there for a tech visit. He wasn't given an estimate for how long he would have to wait. Then after waiting 45 minutes, with no explanation or apology from the staff, he asked how much longer it would be and was told they didn't know because they only had one tech. This is terrible customer service and shows a complete disregard for his time. I will be moving both our dogs to a new vet. read more

ever since dr. Watts left Miami Valley Animal Hospital I haven't felt this been the same. I took my cat in because she wasn't eating he wasn't drinking something was wrong and they end up taking an x-ray. The vet came in and told me that there was a large mass and I said do you know what it is and she said no you have to get an ultrasound and of course they don't do ultrasound so I had to go to med vet and end up paying $1,400 to find out no more than what I found out from the original vet. They found no mass and all of the blood work wasn't that bad but they did say something odd in the liver in another organ I don't remember what it was. But if it was cancer he would have to go through chemo and all that and I couldn't do that and I couldn't afford that. So I've been keeping him on the meds that the original vet ordered and then when I went to pick up more meds I met the ugly and rude Michelle that runs the office. When I called in the request for the refill on the meds and when I got there it was completely wrong so the ugly devil rudely kick me out of the office. So that was it I will never go back there again. And they are so expensive and they won't give an inch to save you a buck. when dr. Watts run the place you could always take meds back if you didn't need them an this money-grubber won't take anything back. And you were always put on hold forever. The staff, from top to bottom shows a tremendous level of compassion and care be it during a difficult time of having to put down a pet or during a regular office visit. I have seen every practitioner there and have complete trust in their abilities, judgment and knowledge. I'd trust my pets with no one else. All of the technicians and administrative staff are extremely kind and courteous. We had Dr Krellner, and she was so good to us. She was fair and honest, yet sensitive to our questions and concerns. She was very good about relating our issues to her own personal experience which made it very easy to receive and act upon her guidance and opinion. As with any veterinarian office, it's hard to walk out with at least 100 dollars less than you went in, but after various visits of differing degrees of need and importance we can say the service was worth it. read more

We had our NEW BABY GREAT DANE BRUIN to MVAH last night for his first vet visit! We were totally impressed with the service START to FINISH and shocked of the negative reviews! We were greeted and spoken to first thing, the Vet tech was amazing an answered so many questions! Our Vet was OUTSTANDING he truly seemed genuinely interested in our baby and answered our questions with both sides of the opinion on neuter surgery, feeding, bloat, and even best food dish raised or lowered! The explanations on the Paw plan was exceptional and checkout was great! 100% IMPRESSED and would recommend!! Their hours are M-F until 8pm and also Saturday until 12Noon! I had been a patron of this office for the last 8 years for the service of my Boxer. He has gone thru several visits over those years for various reasons with no big complaints. But here recently I brought my dog in for an eye injury & was charged $130 for the office visit & 2 tests that were done, @ the end of the visit, the Vet called me with the findings & care plan thereafter, & part of her care plan she wanted to check in 7 days on his progress. Once I called 7 days after to stop by & have a re-check, I was told I had to pay another office visit fee for a re-check of his existing issue they "treated" a week prior. I can see paying for any further tests done, but more $$ for a re-c heck of something they tried to treat & they initiated I stop by to have them check & then have the nerve to charge me again. That was the last interaction with this office, I've pulled both my pets from this office & will NEVER return. read more

We have been extremely happy with the services we have used at Miami Valley Animal Hospital. The entire staff is welcoming, caring, and knowledgeable. The facility is very clean. On several occassions, we have received a phone call from one of the vets calling to explain test results or just following up on how a pet is doing after a visit. One of our dogs required a lengthy surgery. The hospital was just filled with love for our dog that day. We have also used the boarding service and were very comfortable knowing that our dog was in a very loving, safe environment. It felt like leaving her with family. No matter what our pets need, we know we can always count on the staff at MVAH. read more

I love this place! My dog has been commig here for years and they do a great job. They are fast and want to help any way that they can. I also have them do my dogs hair cut and she does a great job. Very clean facility! Very friendly staff! Love the 9am - 12pm walk-in hours but if you have an exotic pet, like a rabbit, scheduling an appointment is the way to go due to the fact they only have one exotic pet doctor and he gets swamped during walk-in hours. Rates and prices are very reasonable, got a wellness checkup for my rabbit and it only cost $56. They also gave me an estimate for rabbit neutering at $180, again very reasonable. They work around your schedule if your animal needs surgery by allowing you to drop off your animal the day before the scheduled surgery and NOT charging for boarding. Not pushy at all, didn't try to sell me ANYTHING. Very thorough and professional during the wellness checkup. Walked through all for his medical thoughts and advice with me without making me feel stupid. Will definitely be returning with my other rabbit. read more
