She made sure that everyone was there prior to starting (that wanted to be) but still pretty much started and finished on time. Rachel took the time to describe and demonstrate each step of the painting - offering help to those that wanted it. There was plenty of time for each step and I never felt rushed. They take pictures of the event and place on their facebook page the night of. You can easily schedule the event online. You get there a little early so that you can grab a drink/snack at the location you choose. Wear older clothes as the paint can stain. The crowd was 90% women but there were 2 guys there and 1 being my husband (great sport he is) who loved that we were in a pub that had sports on TV. Bring cash to tip if you chose. I would recommend Paint Nite for a fun ladies night out or date night. FYI its okay if you are not artistic at all - because I am not.

The theater itself was smaller than I thought. Maybe I'm just used to Kodak Theater on Ridge Road, which is much larger. But I like the more intimate experience. We bought tickets for an Amy Winehouse tribute band. They were excellent. The sound was great in there. We were in the first level left side of the stage. We parked right on the street so that was easy. But they do have a parking garage below and I'm not sure the cost. The theater itself is on the second floor of a building that overlooks a cool courtyard that's in between the theater and the old Xerox building which is now called Innovation Square. They had some good drink choices there, no food choices like cookies or anything, but that was OK. Overall, a very cool and good place to see a show. I'll definitely keep my eye out and come back in the future.

Parking is easy and felt safe at night. The opening act came off the stage and literally walked right in front of me while I was on the way to the bathroom. I got front row seats, and got them pretty easily. I also did the VIP before the show. They made us line up outside, which was weird because it was windy. But I don't think that had anything to do with the venue though. I stood center stage right under him for his whole show. That makes one happy fangirl. I have been a BSB and Nick Carter fan for years and years! This was by far the easiest venue I've ever been to see them, and the easiest it ever was for me to get the front row. If he comes back here, I will run back! :)

Locked recently added a new room, Gold Rush, which my friend and I loved. I also heard that the room which was personally my least favorite is soon going to be redone. Andy, the owner, is great. He really loves what he's doing, and it shows. As I've said before, every one of these rooms includes something incredibly creative that I haven't seen anywhere else. If you like escape rooms, it's well worth the time and money to do every room Locked has.

The bathroom is on the basement level and there are a lot of stairs required to climb to get there. The building is accessible with elevators available on each level. The theatre does have a bar area where you can get drinks (alcoholic beverages, water,pop) and snacks. The seats were close together but comfortable. We enjoyed the show and had no issues with our seats.

This is an easy 10 minute drive off the Thruway via the Canandaigua exit, and offers a large, free parking lot. It's bright and spacious inside, and the offerings include ballet, tribute bands, political speakers, journalists, and musical theater. I'm happy to say I have a new arts venue to add to my rotation, and will definitely be checking out their upcoming events. A note: there are a decent amount of stairs at the front entrance, but there is an accessible entrance on the other side of the building.

It was a bit difficult for us to find it since our GPS led us through the winding campus roads. There was ample parking in front of the Arts Center which was a delightful surprise. Since we got there fairly early, we took a short stroll around the concert hall. There were beautiful sculptures and art pieces around, a cute seating area (for students I'm guessing). The evening didn't start out great. The usher literally led us to the wrong seats, on the opposite end of the theater. It was an ordeal finding our seats and the people we passed while looking for our seats were quite rude which put me in a bad mood. The seats were a bit cramped; I couldn't stand up to dance. They were comfortable enough to sit in though! The acoustics weren't fabulous from where I was sitting by the right side door. During the intermission, I stepped out. Again, the people down our row were rude and grunted at us as we tried to get passed them. The water fountain outside of the door did not work! The concessions stand only took cash and it was super crowded. I ended up going to a vending machine downstairs. The bathroom I went to (downstairs) was very clean and spacious. It was much nicer than I had expected it to be. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the Nazareth Arts Center. On the one hand, it was a pretty and clean facility with decent seats. But on the other hand there were so many small things like the incompetent usher and broken water fountain that really turned me off to it. I'm willing to give it another try and come back for another show in the future (hopefully with a different crowd).

I saw the most recent production of The Nutcracker with the RCB, and as always, I was blown away by the intricacy of the choreography and the thought that was put into every detail, from the costumes, to the set, to the lighting. This year, I noticed some changes to the choreography that I really loved--they are always striving to improve and find new methods of storytelling! This year, in addition to the performances at Eastman Theatre with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, there were also performances held at Canandaigua Academy. I very much appreciated that because the tickets were at a much lower price point, which allowed me to be able to enjoy the performance, and I'm sure many other people who wouldn't have necessarily been able to attend the pricier performances at Eastman. I'm so glad that Rochester has such a thriving professional dance community, and I can't wait to see where it goes next!
