I had such an amazing experience at BeYouty Med Spa! I came in for my first WiQo microneedling treatment, and Nurse Batoul made the entire experience so comfortable. She was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and walked me through every step of the process, making sure I felt at ease the whole time. Even immediately after my treatment, I could already see a beautiful glow in my skin, and I can't wait to see my final results over the next few weeks! BeYouty Medical Spa is truly a hidden gem in Los Alamitos. It's located on Katella a little down from the hospital -- and since it's on the second floor, you do have to take the stairs up. But once you're inside, it's absolutely worth it. The exam rooms have a surprisingly gorgeous view overlooking Los Alamitos, which makes the whole experience feel elevated and calm. The space is very clean, professional, and streamlined. My appointment was efficient and fairly fast, but I never felt rushed. For pricing transparency: Botox is $14.50 per unit for non-members. They also offer a $99/month membership that fully deposits into your account to use toward treatments, and members pay $12.50 per unit for Botox -- which is a great value if you plan on maintaining regularly. They also offer PRP injections, facials, and other aesthetic treatments. I appreciated that they had clear pamphlets explaining membership and services so you can make an informed decision. Overall, such a professional and well-run spot. I'll definitely be coming back for more services soon. read more

I've had a membership with BeYouty med spa for almost a year now and have been so happy with all of my services! Corinna is amazing and so knowledgeable about skincare. My skin has never looked better and I love how easy she is to talk to, I feel like we could be friends in real life. I've also had treatments with Leila who is just as amazing and so nice! Very disappointed. I paid $250 to dissolve filler in my lips, asking her to only remove a little so we don't over-dissolve them, thinking when I came back she would dissolve more if needed. I did need more dissolved and she charge me another $150 to dissolve it more. The l reason they have so many reviews is they offer $50 off to people if they leave a review. I have been trying to find a place in the area to go to and was excited this place popped up with such good reviews. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with what happened to my face. I came in for what I thought was pretty simple. Some Dysport for my face. I have been getting this done for many years and never had a problem. The staff here was very nice, Batoul was my injector and she was very nice and seemed to know what she was doing. So I'm not sure what happened. I asked to soften my chin and I've used dysport in that area many many times and she suggested I used a different neurotoxin that she said works better on the chin. Well, not sure what happened and not sure why. But I have this ugly, very noticeable thing when I move my chin.. like a bump now where it was injected. It's not my actual chin or muscle.. it's the product itself. It's so disappointing as it's my face, I feel subconscious now, I wasted money (and a tip) and have to have this bump for a few months until it subsides. read more

From the moment we walked into the spa, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere was so calming, with soft music and cozy lighting that immediately put us in a relaxed mood. Our esthetician was fantastic. She took her time to chat with us about our skin and what we were looking for, making sure our facials were just right for us. The facial itself was pure bliss--gentle exfoliation, a nourishing mask, and a heavenly facial massage that just melted all our stress away. What made it even more special was sharing the experience with my sister. We laughed, talked, and really enjoyed the pampering together. It turned out to be a lovely bonding time. When we finished, our skin was glowing, and we felt completely rejuvenated. We left the spa on cloud nine! The Scan: It was done with makeup on which was mistake one. It said I had medium/dark skin that…read moreisn't sensitive to sun, based on my brown eyeshadow. It also said I'm 92% oily but I was wearing beef tallow on my face after working all day to help my dry skin (that has been dry my whole life). Any well trained esthetician would be able to see that the scan was inaccurate. They also didn't ask any questions about current products or skin history to verify whether the scan was accurate or not. They based my treatment on the scan which may or may not be the cause of the issue I ended up with. Treatment: good treatment overall but nothing to compare it to since this was my first Korean facial. My skin had a nice glow afterward. The staff was nice so no complaints there. The products weren't clearly explained and I didn't receive any info about them which was another red flag. Post: 3 days after my treatment I developed dermatitis, as seen in pictures and determined by my dermatologist. It's unclear what caused the dermatitis. Post one week: skin has healed mostly with some redness still around my mouth. No scarring. The staff saw my original review and was very concerned and called me. I admit I should have contacted them first prior to the review. They talked to me at length and asked many questions and they did truly seem to care and want to make it right. They did say that they are tightening procedures and the makeup should have been cleaned off first and said they should have asked about current products. This is something they said they normally do but didn't that day. They had concern about the beef tallow but I didnt use any after the facial, just the products they recommended (and I purchased from them). I don't think that was the cause. They offered another facial (very gentle and healing) and my money back which I appreciate considering I paid $100 for a derm appointment and antibiotics. I haven't taken their offer yet but I do think they were genuinely surprised and caring during the process so I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3.

The actual treatment is very relaxing. Their signature facial also includes a face mask, a shoulder and hand massage, and paraffin wax for your hands and feet. They also offer other services such as weight loss, botox, eyebrow sculpting, etc. Just keep in mind that only RNs are allowed to perform extractions here which turns to be a real hassle at times. One time, I had to wait over 30 minutes just for a nurse to become available, and on other occasions, I couldn't get the extraction done at all because they were too busy. To make matters worse, some of the RNs have poor attitudes and "hardly ever follow up". A family member was specifically told to text the nurse with any medication questions, but when she did, the RN repeatedly took hours to reply. I also had a personal encounter with an RN who got visibly upset when the front desk asked her to do my extraction. She actually took her frustration out on me because she mistook me for another customer. Whether it was a case of mistaken identity or not, paying customers should never be treated this way, no matter how busy they are. Otherwise, the front desk staff and the estheticians themselves are very nice. If you plan on becoming a regular customer, my tip is: Get to know the estheticians and find one you like because some are amazing while others are just so-so. As for the facility itself, the place is very clean, smells great, and has nice amenities. Their waiting area is very comfortable with light snacks, they provide lockers for your things, and they even have heated toilet seats! The place is located inside the Cerritos Mall. But despite the huge parking areas - finding a spot is a real pain. With the exception of some nurses who have attitude, O Skin lives up to my expectations of providing high quality facials.

I was still wearing my cervical collar, and my recovery had taken an unexpected turn. As I was waking up from anesthesia, I realized I couldn't move my right arm. I had spent six weeks in the hospital and rehabilitation, and because I couldn't use my dominant arm, I couldn't even brush my hair. By the time I walked into her salon, I was physically exhausted and emotionally broken. My hair extensions had become severely tangled and matted, and I was embarrassed. I didn't feel beautiful anymore. I barely felt like myself. But Johnaee never saw the mess. She saw me. She treated me with kindness, compassion, and dignity from the very first moment. She never made me feel embarrassed or judged. She made me feel like every other woman who walks through her door--someone deserving of care, attention, and beauty. It's been a little over three months since my surgery, and while I'm slowly regaining movement in my right arm, the road has been filled with sadness, confusion, pain, and uncertainty. Through all of that, I found someone truly special. Every appointment with Johnaee reminds me that I'm still me. She has helped restore not only my hair but also pieces of my confidence that I thought I had lost. I've spent my life in the care of countless doctors, especially these past few years. They've repaired my spine, treated my pain, and helped me recover. But Johnaee is my "Dr. Beautiful." She heals in a different way. She reminds women they are still beautiful, even when life has tried to convince them otherwise. She has helped heal my spirit in ways she'll probably never fully understand, because there simply aren't words to express what she's given me. If I tried, I'd end up in tears.
