I had never had a Brazilian Wax and was quite nervous about the whole experience. I mean wax, down there? I just knew I'd cry. But I didn't. In fact, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, thanks to Vanessa. I told her it was my first time and she walked me through the whole process, step by step always letting me know what was going on before proceeding. It was great, I didn't feel anxious or rushed at all. I was super pleased with the results, and honestly the second one was even easier than the first! You really end up just chatting through your session to the point of almost not noticing the wax coming off. Plus they use a hard wax which doesn't require strips, and therefore doesn't pull your skin, just the hair. Huge plus!! The rest: In terms of decor, they've got a chic boutique feel going on. Everything is super clean and nicely lit. There are little samples in the waiting area if you are curious about some of their scrubs. My face is varied in its pigmentation, as I grew up with some dark spots. My skin was also inconsistent in being oily and dry. This day that I visited Marina, my skin was especially dry. I told Marina all of this and she treated me very well. My face is definitely more even in its pigmentation and is a LOT less dry than it was before.
