There is a small convenient store with more beer than food lol Friendly staff and nice cool things to choose from Its in between silver lake, eglon and heading from oakland. There is 2 pumps and fairly easy to notice as its in what i always called the triangle. Not much else to say. Its a good place to stop for gas and snacks before hitting the road.

I've been here hundreds of times over the years, but I stopped in recently to grab a snack, use the bathroom, and get some gas for a little adventure up to Spruce Knob. FYI: This is one of the only places in the area to get gas that is usually open when you need it. Thank you because I forget to get gas in Elkins and everyone else was closed. Yikes! Every time I am here I enjoy eating their food whether from the store or the restaurant up stairs, I love looking around at all the cool stuff they have for sale, I am always buying this or that, and I truly enjoy sparking up a convo with one of the owners or employees. This place has and always will be a gem in the area :D

The young lady who was working Thursday night (11/10/16), "Angel", was as sweet as can be. She welcomed us with a smile and gave us some tips on where to find some place to eat the next day. The next morning, my husband and I returned to the station to pick up some coffee and a quick breakfast. There was a young man behind the register and an older lady in the back by the coffee. Neither one of these employees made eye contact or smiled when we greeted them, but we felt their stares as we got coffee and sat down in a booth to eat a sandwich even though we asked if it was okay to sit down in the booth to eat. We left thinking, maybe they were upset they had to work on a holiday? We returned later that evening to buy some bottled water and another older gentleman was behind the register carrying on a conversation with a young lady about correctional officers in a women's prison who if I am not mistaken had exposed themselves to the female inmates. Whatever, none of my business... I got the merchandise I wanted to buy ready and placed it on the counter once the young lady had left and the counter was clear. I tried to make eye contact with the man at the register and said, "hello, how are you?" but he ignored me and instead rang me up complaining that his scanner would not work properly. As I paid him, again I smiled and tried to engage him but he avoided my efforts. Okay, so why should I care right? I guess where I come from people actually try to be nice if they work in customer service, so it was weird to be totally ignored. Hopefully, "Angel" can find a way to rub some of her pleasant personality off on her coworkers.... Sincerely, Happy to be back home in Virginia

I am very leery about gas station bathrooms but this one was, really, pretty great. (Sorry, no photo as I didn't have my phone on me.) As I went to the register to retrieve my gas receipt I said how nice the bathrooms were. The cashier was talking to a local and the local said that she's heard they were nice. She strode off to take a look and I heard her exclaiming about them. So, based on bathrooms alone, 4 stars. Gas was relatively cheap, too.

We ended up grabbing a premade sandwich and some cheesecake. Both were so good! The cheesecake was legit better than Cheesecake Factory. It was a huge slice for about $10. The sandwich was on fresh delicious bread. They have a great selection of items here and we would definitely make the pit stop again - hopefully with more time to wait for custom orders.
