The first company that they assigned to me had horrible reviews, after I requested another company they assigned Pronto Plumbing. I want to start off by saying that I did read the reviews and I was hesitant but I didn't have much choice. Pronto plumbing assigned Joe to me as the technician. When Joe arrived I told him my issue (extremely high water bills, no evidence of leaks in the home) and Joe conducted a detailed assessment of my bathrooms, kitchen, water heater etc. He agreed that there were no visible leaks and the next steps in regards to having a leak detection completed. He explained that my home warranty usually covers the cost of leak detection but not the foundation repairs etc. He advised me to talk to the County/Water department first to have them do another meter test before I move forward with any other plumbing. All in all, Joe was detailed, transparent and I felt that he was honest. Although I still have more steps to complete before I decide on a plumbing company, if Pronto Plumbing could guarantee that Joe would be the plumber I would use them again.

For years, we dealt with the problem that the sump pump actually wasn't strong enough, but we had no clue. Matthew came in and told us that an actuality, not only was the sump pump aged, but we also needed one that was a lot stronger to handle the amount of rain that was rushing down the staircase outside our house to the basement door. At times, the amount of was so much that would quickly slip under the door and flood our basement and had done times. We kept thinking, maybe it was just because the sump pump wasn't plugged in, or the drain was clogged with leaves and debris, or we just seal that whole area off. But we never had a clue that all this time it was just because the sump pump was under performing; that, as Matthew put it we had a .2 strength sump pump and needed a .5 hp sump pump. Well, he thought that he wouldn't be able to replacement that late at night, but he dug in anyway, and actually found one, retrieved it from the store, and replaced it, all in the same night. The guy came, pointed to a small hole in the tub, immediately assessed that that was the cause, end of story. I fixed the hold and and guess what - that wasn't the problem! And they would have found that out had they ever returned to my home (like they were supposed to!!) once the pipes were exposed to verify if that was actually the issues. THEN, they started going back and forth with my insurance company about the cost of the mitigation work. The insurance has asked them for MONTHS to justify the costs, and they haven't. Instead they are now coming after ME to pay for work that isn't justified and because they figure I'm an easier target than the firm insurance company. SCAMMERS! Definitely stay away and find someone, anyone else!!

Our water heater stopped working and I had to call True Plumbing again. Hunter came out the very…read moresame day and said we had water around the bottom where the pilot light is. When we replaced it, the new one was placed directly on the basement floor with no pan or anything around it or under it. Our basement has never flooded before (in 25 years) but it looks like some water may have come in near the new water heater. I don't know why else there would be water inside the water heater at the bottom. Hunter said they can no longer honor the warranty for the water heater because of this. It seems like it should have been raised off the ground at least a couple of inches when it was installed or had a pan of some sort to protect the bottom of the water heater. But I'm not an expert on water heater installation so what do I know? Hunter got the water out with paper towels and relit the pilot light. Hooray! Hunter saved the day. I think he may have changed the setting back down to its lowest because we are running out of hot water very quickly when showering. Hopefully that's all that has been done. We keep forgetting to check it until we're freezing in the shower :)
