My rating was 0 stars but this makes you choose 1-5. My daughter came in with a large infection under a tooth (with no pain) and needed a root canal. He said that you could drive a truck through this infection whole i her jaw. Within days after her first root canal procedure, she was in level 8-10 pain 24 hours a day. Dr. Bagchandani does not believe in giving antibiotics or steroids unnecessarily and thought my daughter did not need them. He would not see my daughter over the weekend in unbearable pain and reluctantly gave her the one antibiotic and then switched it. Her jaw locked up. No amount or combination of painkillers could help her. Her pain was so pain she was throwing up the medications and this dentist was reluctant to give her Zophran. Her jaw locked up. This scenario went on for several visits for almost a month. Dr Bagchandani said that he didn't know how to help her but would not refer us to another doctor and didn't recommend the ER. The final straw was when he did not call us back at 4am when my daughter could not stand the pain any longer and we could not figure out how to find the correct entrance for the MCV ER. We called another dentist that night and he called back in 5 minutes and told us to come in immediately. The infection exploded in her mouth on our way. The new dentist was been able to solve the problem immediately and identify the problem. I'm sure Dr. Bhagchandani has done successful root canals on other people, but he told us many times that HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, yet would never refer us for any help. I would avoid this dentist at all costs. Negligent, dangerous. read more

From initial consultation to the first surgery, Dr. B. has been communicative, friendly, engaging, and really put me at ease. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Let's be real for a second. You don't go to an endodontist because your teeth are in perfect health, you go to one because you feel as if you are being dragged into hell one tooth at a time. A great endodontist can make the difference between saving those broken teeth or wearing dentures. I've met both Dr. B and his wife/partner, Dr. Krause. At the time I met them, I trusted that they would provide me with excellent medical care. I also trusted that they were giving me an honest and medically accurate assessment of the likelihood of success of the procedure that my tooth required. Unfortunately, none of these things happened. My root canal repair was not even close to being successful, in direct conflict with what Dr. Krause had told me the day before. Not only that, but Dr. B. was more concerned with discussing his business plans and talking about his upcoming spread in Richmond magazine with his assistant than explaining to me what was going on or asking how I was doing. In addition, he also made several snide comments about other patients and barely even acknowledged that I was there AT ALL. When the procedure was stopped, I had to ask him questions with dental spikes still in my mouth. He would not explain to me what had gone wrong or why. He even told me that Dr. Krause had expressed her doubts to him about my case. THAT WAS NEWS TO ME! It was only at my insistence that he even told me that IT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL!!!! I was nearly in tears as I was rushed to the reception desk, where with some sticky resin and a bit of gauze in my mouth, I asked if he could pull the tooth. His response: "You'll need to go to an oral surgeon. Your dentist can refer you to one." I also told him that I really was hurting and could already feel the local anesthetic wearing off. His response: "Take some Tylenol and Ibuprofen." His staff were ready to have me swipe my credit card before I left. Thank god my mother stopped that and told them that could invoice me. Which now leads me to my favorite part. This is the same doctor who wants to charge me and my insurance company for "PALLATIVE PAIN RELIEF." I now have to pay him more than I paid the actual ORAL SURGEON who ACTUALLY FIXED ME. I was in the worse pain of my life that evening following the botched procedure. I was an absolute blubbering mess and am upset even thinking about those events now. This is the same person who could not even write me a prescription or follow up to make sure that I had an appointment to see a doctor who could help. His office staff never once asked if I was ok. So, yeah. You may get lucky, or you may get what I got, the gatekeeper to hell. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. read more

Dr. B was awesome. I had a root canal and internal bleaching and was 110% satisfied with the results. He is a true professional and you get the attention and service that you pay for. And, you can't beat the prices. The waiting room is comfortable and assistants and staff are the friendliest ever. Well, first of all, I have a terrible fear of dentsit. After a horrible and painful 12 hour root canal, I hoped I would never have to endure that again. BUT, I did and I chose to come to Endodontic Partners. The reviews were good, and their medical/dental background looked well rounded, so I thought I would give it a shot. Now, I had immediate anxiety from the get go, and Dr.B was very calming and reassuring. He walked me through the procedure, talked me through it and explained everything perfectly. The actual root canal took 30 mins! 30 mins! WHAT! I know. Amazing. From my last root canal experience, what a huge difference. I was expecting long and painful. Not the case at all. The procedure was vertually painless and the after care was painless too. Although, I would've liked a little more information following the first step in the root canal such as after care and things to do and not to do. Although most after care is common sense, I guess it helps relieves fears or answers questions. Overall, great experience! Good luck with your future root canal. read more
