My Son is an adult on the Autism Spectrum. He has always had issues going to the dentist after he had a very traumatic experience at the age 6 with a Very Well Known (chain) Dental office (W. D) Because of this other terrible Dental office, I always had issues taking him to ANY dentist from that point forward.... abd we tried MANY. We actually found a very good Dental office first about 7 years ago and he was reassured and very comfortable. But of course my insurance changed who was authorized to treat ppl on that insurance and then the dr left so we had to start all over. I though OH NO HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! HOWEVER what luck we had because This office is AWESOME. From our first contact with the front desk on thr phone to meeting the staff and the doctors when we arrived. They allowed me to go back with my son because I had explained the anxiety and fear he was already experiencing. Every single staff member has been very accomodating to his needs and feelings. They have a few different locations. We live over on the other side of the bay so with traffic, travel time can be crazy. But even if that's the case it's well worth it. I wish I could give them ZERO STARS. They lured us over the phone and promised everything but when we got there they conditioned my wife root canal that is covered by my insurance with purchasing their very expensive crown $2,400.00 for a front tooth ?????? I would not go there even if they paid us. I told them that it took us 2 hours each way to get there but they didnt care. The moment they heard that we only want the root canal and we dont want to pay the $2400.00 for the crown they just told us to leave. They just tried to take advantage of elder people. Truly just out for your money. I'm still paying the price for a botched up job he did for my root canal which was so painful that I cried even when I was put under. They also promised to replace any crowns that had a warranty for seven years. When I went back, Dr Bhogal seemed so unhappy and he shaved my upper tooth to make space for the lower crown to the point where its enamel is all gone. Terrible. Now having to have all of his work redone cause they've all failed. read more

What a gem in Newark! I have never had such detailed and though teeth cleaning and polish in my 30+ years of going to the dentist. Both the Dr and the dental hygienist were understanding of my pregnancy symptoms during the cleaning and they gave me time to collect myself by taking pauses. But both of them made sure to go through all teeth, some couple times, and took their time. The Dr even gave me some tips on reducing nausea symptoms before flossing which I will try! I am so happy I found this office and highly recommend others as well. read more

I went through so many overbooked dentists that only had availability months later. My wisdom teeth were coming in and causing me so much pain. I found Dr. Bhogal's office through my insurance. They were able to take me in the same exact day and removed my wisdom teeth the very next morning. The entire staff is welcoming and caring. Lol they even tucked me in my blanket that I brought before my surgery. I was also almost an hour late to my appointment due to a traffic jam. They are very accommodating and flexible. You can tell they try their best to be as convenient as possible. Overall my surgery was a warm and comforting experience. The two offices in which Dr. Bhogal practices in are also both really nice and modern with high tech equipment. I went to Dr. Bhogal because my regular dental office had a new dentist that checked out my teeth. That dentist suggested that I get some root canals repaired that I had before. I didn't feel this is correct since I haven't experienced any pain. I called Dr. Bhogal and spoke to Dr. Sonia on the phone. She was very nice and understood my concern got me an appointment later that week. Dr Bhogal saw me and took pictures of the teeth in question. He stated that they didn't need that attention at that time and for us to keep an I on them. I am so scared of the dentist petrified. I needed to have 6 8 teeth pulled didnt have the money to be sedated. I was offered options they worked with me to get gas. I have medi-cal and was nervous about how my payments would go but they allowed me to make periodic payments during this long process while I was trying to get an implant put in for a front tooth I had to have extracted. Dr. Rajvir was so patient with my extreme nervousness to needles in my mouth and worked with me to keep me calm while during my appointments. I truly appreciated the professionalism and sincerity to devotion to patients and that is very hard to find! I would definitely go back to him for periodic work done. His ability to come in on Saturday is wonderful and really works well for my busy work schedule since I work in SF. The woman from member services called this dental group on a Wednesday at 4:30 PM, they got me in at 5 PM as a NEW PATIENT!!! There wasn't an overwhelming amount of paperwork to fill out and they've always been prompt to calling me in at my scheduled time. They were very welcoming to new clients and did not judge you if you previously didn't regularly see a dentist. Front desk was empathethic when it came to financial advising, and did their best to offer solutions. Heard out all my concerns and discussed an orderly plan to address them. I came in originally with a broken permanent lower retainer, it was reattached with some tugging, pulling and some bonding. The doctor that assisted me told me if I needed an adjustment come back and she will adjust it for me. I noticed that one tooth was really sore for a while then noticed the retainer was starting to push my tooth outward. It caused a gap between two teeth, and cause me to have a small cross bite. I went in and Dr. Bohgal was very rude, told me that there was nothing he could do, and that my teeth were already like that before they reattached the retainer, dispite me showing him photos of my teeth prior where clearly I had no gap. He just kept insisting my teeth were already like that. I told him I was confused because the lady who re-attached the retainer told me I could come back if I needed an adjustment but Dr. Bohgal refused. His only suggestion was that I get invisilign. I have already had braces and my teeth were perfectly straight with no gaps, no cross bite. I left in tears, and will never return here again. I paid them around $300-$400 for nothing, they do not keep their word. Small mistake that cause a huge problem and they will not make an adjustment to try to fix it. I have spent thousands for braces, and veneers, only to have this happen. Very disappointed! Not to mention I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, only to be seen an hour after my scheduled appointment. Also...they were playing rap music in the lobby talking about injuring police (and that is wording it in a nice way) read more

I typically avoid going to dentists but I was long overdue for a cleaning. Dr. Bhogal was able to see me personally, within just a few minutes of waiting. He was nice - and funny! - and made the usual laborious task of getting your teeth cleaned fast, painless, effortless. Told me I was in good shape and that I continue doing whatever I'm doing (which is basically the bare minimum hahah) to keep my teeth in good shape, which actually made me take care of my teeth even more. Terrible experience,I sat in that dental chair for an hour before they gave me my numming shot, and sat for another hour and a half waiting to get 2 root canal done that wasn't even the reason I went in there. I was convinced into doing 2 root canals, after being told not to worry about the crowns cause they would word it to the point that Denti-Cal would Authorize it. Well Denti-cal Authorized only one of them. When I returned 3 weeks later they told me that Denti-cal doesn't pay for the type of Crowns that they have and that I needed to fork out $800.00, this could've been explained before I came all the way to Newark from Mountain View. I should've known at the first appointment, cause they had this Indian lady in tears with what seemed to be the same thing they did to me. Dr. Rajvir Bhogal and his staff are very kind, caring, and only want the best for their patients. They gave me a free X-ray 360 scan of my jaw, to check if there were any inconsistencies that may be developing (thankfully none). I had a Root Canal procedure and it was as if I went for a teeth cleaning, the pain minimal and no altercations. His staff even had a person shadow over the procedure, and mentored her that to treat a patient is to treat the patient as if they were a loved one.
