Came to Ron and his establishment last week for my first appointment/cleaning. Fantastic atmosphere and wonderful employees they have there. Everyone from the receptionist, to the dental hygenist were so kind and friendly. My appointment was thorough, relaxing, and I truly felt cared for. All my questions were answered and they shared knowledge above and beyond. Let's be clear....I'm not a big fan of visiting the dentist office (something about sharp items in my mouth that I dislike). From the moment I stepped into the office, I was greeted by the friendly staff who always make me comfortable. The waiting area was impeccably clean and inviting, exuding a sense of tranquility that helped alleviate any dental anxiety I had and always have. Ron Hernandez, DDS professionalism and expertise were evident throughout my visit. Best dentist I have been to! I came from Gentle Dental and had go switch. I found Dr. Ron Hernandez based off a recommendation from my father. Dr. Ron walked me through everything and I didn't leave the office confused. The front desk walked me through all the steps for Invisalign and made sure how much my insurance would cover. I just loved this office when the previous dentist was here. But this new Dentist is not the best at all. I did not have a good experience when in the office but to make matters worse I moved to Tucson Arizona over a year ago and I have received no bills in that time. All of a sudden I received in the mail a bill for $48.00. Remember I have not been in California for over a year and they are just now billing me for $48.00. They did the same thing to my parents but their bill was all of a sudden over a thousand dollars they had missed billing. There is no way I would to back to this office. If they made a billing error and they waited over a year to find it then they should just write it off. I should not have to pay for their mistake when I thought I was all paid up. Dr Hernandez is very professional, kind, and responsible. All of his staff is always friendly and always makes us feel like family. My husband has been his patients for many years and later on my children and I. Personally I remember this one time when I had an extraction and I am an adult and I've always been terrified of extractions, and one of the assistants comforted me and helped me through the pain. From the moment you walk in until you are set to leave it is a wash of pleasant people who always seem happy to help in any way they can. The wait is never long and everyone from the receptionist, hygienist, and dentist are willing to answer any questions I can think of. I've always been a terrible flosser (can never seem to get the molars) and my hygienist was incredibly knowledgeable in recent product releases from oral-B and waterpik. She was able to guide me to a solution that will hopefully save my gums and my wallet. read more

This place is a con. They ignore your pain and requests for professional dental work. They seem to drill and fill their pockets with your copay and insurance payments. If you need professional attention that will address your needs DO NOT GO TO RON HERNANDEZ DDS. I mentioned wanting invisilne to correct a cross bite and a gap in my teeth that had become painful and was causing uneven wear on my first visit along with a short list of other painful needs that RON HERNANDEZ IGNORED. He did not even mention my orthodontic insurance coverage until he and his well trained staff of medical staffers had maxed out my insurance coverage for the year. I was billed for unnecesary antibiotics for a recessed gum that wasn't covered by my insurance. I paid out of pocket and when the treatment made no difference, Hernandez said "huh, I guess I didn't need to do that" I would never recommend this dentist to any friend or family member. I was ignored when I told Hernandez DDS I was in pain. His excuse was that he did not like to work on other dentist's previous work. I have a lifetime of previous work in my mouth. I had to push to get him to replace Amalgam fillings from my mouth that are not only mercury the most toxic metal known to man that is not radioactive, but they were old and causing me pain due to my tooth being cracked. Hernandez had me come back only after I was still in intense pain due to swelling caused by the work he did on teeth that were in no need of attention. He had me come back to diagnose a cracked tooth in need of a possible root canal only after running up a 4000.00 maxing out my insurance. Hernandez DDS ignored my as much as possible and wanted to dazzle me with lasers to find thin enamel. He drilled and filled teeth that I was not having any issues, and now those fillings cause me pain. The few teeth he treated at my request have since chipped and started to ache. I can only assume he used substandard materials since this is the shortest lived filling I have ever had. I was billed upon completion of work for my copay and at the reception counter pulled out my wallet next to other regular patients complaining about how routine cleanings always seemed to suspiciously result in dental work despite proper dental hygiene on their part. Maybe this is just a coincidence. I was once even called days after my visit, not to follow up with my treatment but to bill me again for a copay I paid in full at the end of my visit. This is not a place people should put their trust in. Greed and incompetence the only services provided here. Don't take my work for it. Go get ripped off for yourself. read more

Dr. Hernandez was my dentist for a year and everythin was going well until my last visit, when he prescribed a medication I am very allergic to and that was clearly noted in my file at his office. I think this lack of care for patients is unacceptable. I could have spent weeks at the hospital due to his careless attention. read more

I started visiting Dr. Hernandez after I moved back to the area. He came highly recommended from my friends and I wanted to feel comfortable since going to teeth cleanings is something I look forward to doing. Dr. Hernandez has great bedside manner and light hands when he is working on your teeth. I have a had issues with local anesthesia since my low blood pressure means it takes longer for me to get numb. Dr. Hernandez takes this into consideration and made sure I was not rushed during my procedure. The office does great follow up after as well! I'm confident when I recommend him. read more

I had a problem with a front tooth that was discolored from a root canal years ago. A friend referred me to Dr Hernandez and I went to check him out with a routine check up an expressed my concern about that tooth. We agreed on a crown and he was able to take care of it that day! It was kinda funny because when he was trying to match the color of the new crown to the rest of my teeth, he went above and beyond to take me outside to ensure my smile matches with indoor and outdoor lighting!
