I've been going to Dr. Patel for several years now, since 2011/2012. She is a sweetheart! Super gentle too! I've had some bad experiences with dentists in the past. Like really bad, BUT Dr. Patel is not one of them! She's legit and SUPER AWESOME! Every time I go in, I always think the x-rays will reflect some new cavities. My teeth are just prone to cavities for some reason. I stay on point with the dental hygiene, and floss like crazy. I've had 2 root canals in one month during my college days, and I feel like it scarred me for life. Now, I brush my teeth after I eat lunch at work. Yes, I'm one of those.... Anyways, I was telling Dr. Patel about my crazy paranoia of possibly getting more cavities, which can easily escalate to a root canal if not addressed. She was so sweet. She told me to stop worrying, and enjoy life. I hope she never closes her practice. She's a winner! read more

I went in after a few years to tell doctor my bridge has come out and as usual it's broken down and they can't do anything about it but to extract I have had lots of fallen out bridges and missing crowns in quick fixes to find out that my lack of missed appts and routine check ups costed me a lot of money to fix etc. I just wish Doctor would've been more upfront and worked with me since I was going with her for several years just a little disappointed!! read more

Staff are very very rude here they speak and yell as soon as you try to talk. Every week they call saying sorry we need to move the appointment and when you ask for the reason they give the most non-reasonable excuses. Not only that But I take both of my children regularly for 6 month cleaning, and every time it's not done correctly I have to complain to them. Then after I complain then they perform it correctly. New patient to this dentist office. Was not impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and state of some of the equipment. Teeth cleaning consisted of the water blasting and that's it! No scaling of teeth after that, as I've always had with past dentists. The dental assistant told me that this dentist doesn't think it is good for the teeeth to do scraping with a tool. Am so disappointed with this group - my whole experience has been misleading. I went there recently to do my annual cleaning and refused to do x ray as i was in a rush that day. I made a follow up appointment to deal with cavity. And the receptionist recommended then to do Xray the same day they will take care of cavity. And then when i went there, the receptionist mentioned that she is not sure if insurance will cover X ray as I'm doing it at the same time of filling cavity. I wish they had clear lines of communication as this has not been the first time it happened. This was a lesson for me to NOT to go to this group for dental help. BEWARE everyone. Firs, the office and doctor are nice and friendly. The office is also conveniently located. My issue is with the services. A few weeks ago, I took my child for their checkup. The hygienist looked, flossed my child's teeth and polished. Afterward, the doctor came in, looked and the visit was finished. Start to finish - 9 minutes. When visiting other offices, they have almost always performed xrays (to see what the human eye can't see) and generally using power tools to go over the gum line. My insurance is likely getting billed for a full disclosure exam when all they did was floss. Again, people are nice but I don't think will be returning. read more

My daughter had an appointment to check a broken tooth that was causing her pain, I was very specific in saying that she did not only want to clean it but also fix the tooth and remove the pain, she only removed the pain and said The tooth was going to fall out on its own, but the reason for this email is that She has an infantile tooth with pulp necrosis and has an apcess and in the previous visit they did not give her anything about it. Now she has pain in her toothache again, the visit lasted for about 15 minutes. I feel that this doctor only wants to charge the insurance company and does not care about her patient. read more

Me and my family have been coming to Dr Patel for all our dental needs for past seven plus years. She has been wonderful. We always get clear explanation of steps needed and dental coverage. I used to have quite bad gum infection which she treated well. Also my experience with tooth extraction and dental implant has been great so far. The best part for me is Dr. Patel has magic touch as all cleaning and extraction experience was very smooth comparison to our previous dentist. Front office staff is very friendly. One star because Yelp doesn't let you post a review with 0 or half star! Also, I am curious to see how long my filling is going to last. Beware of these crooks as they will try to collect 'copay' from you even before billing your insurance, and then when you refuse to comply, say it's ok we will submit the claim to insurance. I had gone to them for my filling and they told me to pay $65 as 'copay' which I refused. Now when I see my dental benefits statement, I have been proved right that these guys were just trying to dupe me and rob me of my money. My contract covered 100% of the filling charges and so I don't owe them a penny! Imagine had I given in and made the payment when they asked me to! Also, these guys have put in claims for three fillings which is a blatant lie as only two fillings were done which even the receptionist had earlier confirmed when I was trying to refute the $65 'copayment'. Wonder how and when was this third filling done! Another classic way to cheat patients! I had a bad experience with another Indian dentist in the past and was hence looking for a new dentist but this experience turned out to be worse! Guys you have been warned! This is clearly nothing but a major scam. I was unperturbed by all the bad reviews on Yelp and decided to still give it a shot, I guess I should have believed the other reviewers and not come here in the first place. Anyway, it's done and dusted now but hope this lesson proves a blessing in disguise for others who might be thinking of going to this fraudster. read more

I definitely avoided finding dentist if Fremont for a while, however a colleague recommended Dr. Patel so I made an appointment and was absolutely impressed.
