I've been seeing Dr. Donesa for almost 2 years now, and he and his team always provide the best care for their patients and have always shown great customer service. The reason why I've chosen Dr. Donesa as my primary dentist is that I've seen great reviews, and my insurance was accepted at their practice. When making an initial appointment, keep in mind that it may take longer than a usual appointment because they'll need to take x-rays and go over your dental history. When walking in, I'm always greeted by Girlie or another staff member. They still follow covid protocols such as taking my oxygen levels and temperatures and signing a paper. Also, the waiting area is nicely set up with seating available if you need to wait a couple of minutes. When it is time to go to the back and see Dr. Donesa, Girlie will guide you back and have you step on a sanitizing mat to clean the bottom of your shoes (which I really appreciate because it adds to the cleanliness of the practice). When Dr. Donesa checks my teeth, he is always careful and informs me if there are any areas that I'll need to work on and pay more attention to. Granted, he's the first dentist that actually told me how to effectively brush my teeth to prevent cavities. And when the appointment is done, Girlie always hands me a toothbrush and toothpaste :) read more

After a few years of going to an awesome dentist in San Jose, said dentist decided to open a few more practices and rarely came into the San Jose location. Service and treatments were less than par. Around the same time my dental insurance changed and I did a search for a dentist in or near Newark. Voila, Centerville Dental Care popped up in my query. I was having an issue with a bothersome tooth and was afraid that I would lose it. Oh no! I spoke with Girlie (question on the spelling), the Office Admin/Billing/Coding/Insurance and occasionally assistant. She got me in right away. After Dr. Donosa (question on spelling too) looked at my xrays, he explained that I didn't need to lose my tooth, it was a strong tooth. It just needed a little work, a few treatments and it would be fine. Immediately I felt relieved. The office has state of the art equipment, well I know these things change rapidly, but for sure it's not antiquated. The staff are warm and helpful. Oh, and so is the bathroom and the waiting area. Dr. Donesa is an accomplished and professional practitioner who is both knowledgeable and personable all at once. Most times you get one or the other. As someone who has trypanophobia (fear of needles), he made me feel at ease and comfortable while executing the procedure. In all my many visits with dentists from across the bay from Concord to Mountain View, I have never met one that ticks all the boxes. There is a reason why he has 5 stars all the way. His staff at the clinic are equally great. I went here for a cleaning and to check my wisdom teeth. They told me "yup they are there!" And a referral to an over priced orthopedic surgeon. Maybe because I didn't question them why they couldn't do it or did they not do that at their location... but a year later I came for another cleaning (haven't paid 2,000 to remove my wisdom teeth) they tell me I need to do it, mention I have a few cavities and just tap my teeth with a tool and send me on my way. I'm confused bc my teeth were barely cleaned and there was no mention of any process for the cavities to be filled or fixed. So i chose to go to another dentist and they scheduled a procedure for the wisdom teeth the following week and it was just a dentist who used my insurance and I paid $100 and am no longer in pain. I'm just upset that this location I originally chose didn't communicate anything with me. Just kept sending me on my way. I guess I should have questioned more but how was I supposed to know. They are very nice though. I just didn't get much help. Also when I called to get the X-rays they took to give to other doctors (like they told me to) they wouldn't respond. read more

I was having some teeth issues & I had never been here before, they made me an appointment for that day, even though they were busy. He saw me right at my appointment time which I'm a fan of, took some x-rays & he referred me to an oral surgeon who he said was great & could help me. (He was right about the referral) This is now my new dentist. I will be getting all of my regular cleanings & work done here without hesitation. When they go out of their way to help you when you aren't even a patient there it shows you how good they will take care of you if you are their patient. I saw Dr. Donesa after not going to the dentist for several years, and he took the time game plan how to achieve my dental work year over year in line with my insurance. The staff at Centerville honestly makes me feel like family, so I'd like to outline a few of my favorite things about Centerville Dental: -The office is equipped with the latest tech and devices. Especially with COVID, they've gone above and beyond with bringing in new tech that makes the office more COVID friendly -Dr. Donesa's bedside manner. He takes the time to explain what he's doing, why he recommends the procedure, and provides updates along the way. He always asks about work, my partner (also a patient at Centerville) and overall is really easy to talk to. -They work hard to make the whole experience comfortable. I chose Centerville Dental Care based on the positive Yelp reviews and I have not been disappointed. Dr. Donesa and his staff are wonderful. They are very welcoming, everything was clearly explained to us and we feel very comfortable with our care there. They really thought it out, when it comes to the child's dental experience. My girls were excited to put on a pair of sunglasses and pick a Netflix show to watch while their work was being done. Guess I'm one of those "late to the party" savvy less social media souls! Anyway, my deep rooted fear of going to the dentist (there's a backstory there that will help fund a new Tesla Model S Plaid for my next therapist) prevented me from seeing a dentist for over 10 years! Wanting a change to a practice where "no one knew my name and shame" (well, actually, Dr. Donesa did, because our daughters are friends, but that's another story in the making), I have been a very satisfied and happy patient for over 7 years now. By far the best dentist office I've been! I've tried other general dentist in Dublin Area, but I decided to come back here in Centerville Fremont because I miss the great treatment and customer service from Ms.Girly aswell as top notch service from the Dr.Donesa. I got a feeling that my dentist in Dublin that they're not willing to work on lenghty paper work that the UNITED CONCORDIA (Military Insurance ) is asking them, unlike in Centerville Fremont, Ms.Girly is on top of every paper work and pre approval request that I needed. Unlike other dentist office, they're schedule is really flexible and I was never told that I will pay a fee if I didn't cancel 24 hours prior to my schedule. They also have very sanitary and fresh restroom and T.V entertainment while you are getting treated. I was referred to Dr. Donesa by a family member. I have now been coming to him for dental care since November of 2012. What I like about him is the fact that he really pays attention to your needs and is thorough with answering your questions. He also takes the time to complete the procedures done to your teeth. Other dentists that I've been to in the past always seemed to rush through in order to get you out there and the next patient in. The office is pretty new and is kept nice and clean. The decor doesn't give it that medical facility kinda feel and the bathroom is really clean unlike other offices I've been to! Anyone can be good some of the time, it's rare when they're good all of the time. Every interaction that I have had with Centerville Dental, be it in person or over the phone, has been pleasant and professional. I have worked in the medical field for over 10 years for dozens of doctors; Dr. Donesa's excellent bedside manner, high quality work, and thoroughness of explanation of procedures & consequences left me feeling confident that I was in excellent care. His office staff is just as praiseworthy. Ms. Girly is on top of all the insurance pre-auth paperwork and works hard to make sure that there are no surprises for the patients in terms of billing, and is a pleasure to work with. The office is clean and equipped with amenities like streaming shows that you can watch from the patient's chair. I'm not one for hyperbole, so I'll just say that I gave him the highest compliment that I can think of which is that I recommended him to my family. I don't tend to write negative reviews unless it was the sort of service that was bad to someone's health. Also, this review is not as much about the performance of dental work from this dentist but of the general professional kindness of the team as a whole. I think how you are treated by the people you give your business to says a lot about the pulse of who they are. This said, I brought my dog Bella to the vet on Fremont blvd. They had to take an x-ray of her heart and told me it would take about 1/2 hour. So I was to wait in the waiting room or I could leave & come back but leaving didn't make sense so I opted to wait. I went to use their restroom and I saw a sign that said it was out-of-order so I asked them if they had another bathroom for me to use. There was a long awkward silence and nervousness for a moment from the front desk gal who then went to ask someone how to handle this (remember I am a client about to spend almost $400!) she came back and directed me to the next door over fast food restaurant. I questioned her on this but saw she was very stressed so I walked next door only to see all the restaurants were closed as it was too early in the morning. That's when I took a deep breath and swallowed my pride as I entered the Centerville Dental Care office. I presented my story and the front desk person had to also go ask someone but when that person came out she invited me to use their bathroom facilities. She had to include that they don't normally do this and I of course understood that but, she was kind and gracious and I am writing this to say if you don't have a dentist or are not thrilled with the one you have you may want to consider Centerville Dental Care because although I don't know how their dentistry work is what I do know is they are caring, thoughtful & kind human beings and I think that is an important factor in any business I work with. Unfortunately, now I have to reconsider going back to my vet and his team of people that don't seem to understand how to treat his clients. read more

Dr. Donesa is the best dentist that I have ever been to he is very gentle and kind. He makes sure that I am very comfortable and all of his chairs have a back massage. He is very thorough and explains everything clearly including which direction to hold my tooth brush when brushing certain teeth. Dr. Donesa had shown me the incomplete fillings from previous dentists. To keep your mind off your teeth I was able to pick a movie or TV show on Netflix. Dr. Donesa's office staff are very nice and helpful too.
