Let's be honest: it's a house of pizza. You're getting what you'd expect in terms of assortment of food (pizza, gyros, subs with a Greek influence). HOP's do vary wildly in quality though, and this is one of the better ones in terms of food (don't ask me about Millinocket). This is also just a nice place to sit at the bar, which is something of a rarity for these types of places and for better or worse bumps them up in my estimation considerably. Ordered online and arrived 5 minutes before order was to be ready. It was busy so I understood when they told me my order would be a little more of a wait. Then waited 1 hour and 15 minutes. Said they missed my order. Miscommunication between wait staff and cook. I understand these things happen but they did nothing. Went here to try their pizza. Upon walking in, the place could use a refresh. After ordering and eating, we couldn't care less about the condition of the place. The server was friendly, the pizza came quickly and was the BEST pizza! We got the veggie pizza. It was a relatively elusive thick crust and came piping hot. The veggies were fresh tomatoes, broccoli,mushrooms, spinach, and the green peppers were extra thinly sliced so as not to overwhelm the other vegetables. These were all on a thin. So we have been to BHOP several times and have always been super happy with the food. But typically we get pizza to go. Today we sat on the patio. We went in when we got here and they said someone would be right out to take our order. We sat for 20+ minutes before getting someone. Drinks came quickly, dinner not so much. Over 45 minutes later my husband went in to find out why some who came 15 minutes after us were already served. Then our food came out , cold. The staff really is the heart of the business. The waitresses are so attentive. They deal with a lot of different types of customers and always try to remain calm, kind, and "game on". Plenty of seating on a Saturday afternoon, just after 1 o'clock. Place started to fill up after we arrived. Specialty drinks were delicious - Santa's Nightcap and Mrs. Clausmopolitan were tasty and perfect on a chilly day. My small Aegean Pizza, with extra Feta Cheese, black olives and no mozzarella or Greek olives, was delicious! Plenty of toppings and just enough to feed me lunch, with enough to take home for snacks. My friend's Lg Cheese Pizza with Meatballs, Spinach, and Artichoke Hearts was very skimpy on the toppings. It was as if they used the amount of toppings for a small pizza, and laid they across her large pizza. You could just about see through the slices of meatball. We won't order that again. It was tasty, just not enough toppings. It is the best pizza place in town, so we'll be back. Looking to give a 5-star rating next time - slice those meatballs thicker, please! read more

This is a classic pizza place with the perfect menu located in the heart of the lakes region. With many places closed on Sunday, this is a go-to place for quality food. Very pleased with the service and the food. If we were hanging out, the deck would be a lovely place to enjoy dinner. Next time I want to try a white sauce or garlic and olive oil base for pizza. Pizza was ok, but the service was awful! We ordered takeout, got the notification the Pizza was ready so I walked in. No less than 6 employees saw me before anyone offered to help. Stood there for 8ish minutes trying to make eye contact with someone so they could grab my food. Eventually I spoke loudly that I had a notification my pizza was ready and the guy who heard me acted like I asked him to move a mountain while he spent 3.5 seconds grabbing my pizza from the back counter. We stepped in off the street to do a takeout order for the 5 of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was as clean as any busy takeout place I've been in and cleaner than most. The dining area looked to be large with plenty of seating outside also. The tables and chairs were cleaned as soon as customers left Our order was done before we knew it and smelled amazing. We could hardly wait to get home. It didn't disappoint. You don't need to ask for extra cheese there. The pizzas had pleanty. The barbecue chicken was the best I have ever had. Ordered pizza through the Slice app last night. It was my first time ordering. I Showed up 40 min after placing the order (about 10 min earlier than pick up time). There were staff behind the counter looking very busy. A female staff was folding boxes in the corner and ignored me. I walked around the counter to see if there was a pick up line. She looked at me and continued to ignore me. Not sure what the procedure is, I stood and waited. Then a man came in and approached a stand. The same female staff immediately helped him, so I decide to stand behind him. Several more people came in behind me. Once she was available, the female staff looked right past me, pointed to the couple behind me and helped them. Now I'm frustrated and raise my hand in protest. She says to me "I'll cash you out in a minute but these people were here first" They told her no I was here first and she looked shocked and uttered a defensive apology about how busy it was. I've worked in pizza shops. You fold boxes when you're not busy. She needs training on customer service and simple manners. Also pizza was mediocre at best. read more

I stopped in last night for a pizza. They were obviously understaffed and it was some what busy. After waiting 20 minutes to order them another half hour our food came out both orders were wrong, my pizza was completely wrong. The bartender said to us " it's not my fault they made the wrong pizza" no one had accused him of that , he had an attitude problem.They scrambled while I waited another half hour for my dinner. When this order came out it was wrong again, I decided just to take it to go , I just wanted to leave! When I got home the pizza dough was not cooked through ( raw dough) . if possible would not give this place any stars, showed up with a large group was told 25 minutes to wait, in the meantime they accepted a larger group then what was initially told was in front us, after waiting our 25 minutes we were told it was going to be an additional 20 minutes due to them taking the larger group. After the second time of basically waiting the allotted time, the host came out and told us they were un able to serve us due to their closing time of 815, which their hours state they close at 9 with the last pick up order being at 815. I came here two nights in a row while staying in Bridgton. I was really excited they were offering outdoor seating/dining options - they seemed to be the only place in town open and offering (socially distanced) outdoor dinein! We sat on the patio and ordered drinks. For food, we got a chicken wrap (bf said it was good), and I loaded up on apps: a Greek salad, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks. A friend had told me their Greek food was the real deal, so I decided to go for the salad. It was DELISH. If you're into salads, you have to try their Greek. It is stellar. Fresh vegetables, tons of feta - loved it. The fried food was pretty standard, but the large portions made you feel like you were getting a bang for your buck with leftovers. That first night we gave the waitress our cards, and she seemed to forget about us- we didn't get them back for maybe twenty minutes. It was fine as we weren't in a rush. The second night I got a caesar salad and the fried mushrooms. The caesar salad wasn't too fabulous - not a ton of flavor and not really enough parmesan on it to add to the flavor. The mushrooms were good but did give me a stomachache (at least I think that's what the culprit was). Bf got a turkey BLT and said it was decent. Their fries are REALLY good. Definitely get those. On this night, we asked for our checks, and we didn't see our waitress for almost 25 minutes - the bf went inside and asked for them. No hate here, they were busy with takeout! Just was a little annoying as we did have plans to stick to. Overall, come for some beers and the Greek food. The patio has music playing and it is clearly a fun people-watching spot for locals. First time visiting here, ordered for to-go for my family. My husband and I waited for the order. The front staff and the kitchen staff were super friendly and kept checking in with us, they were great! The young girl running the bar was less than friendly and gave us attitude for picking songs on the music player even though we paid to pick songs, told us "This is a restaurant not a club, move on", super rude considering we paid for the songs we were picking. Placed an order over the phone for a cheeseburger sub with ketchup, 2 steak bombs with mayo and an order of onion rings.  Got home and no ketchup on the cheeseburger sub, both steak bombs were just steak, which was grizzled and difficult to chew, and cheese with no mayo, no peppers, no onions and the onion rings were burnt. 4 things to mess up and they nailed them all! Cute little diver bar/restaurant. This is where the locals go. Wife and I got a small Hawaiian pizza. The crust was great and toppings were delicious. We also had the grilled zucchini. This is not what I expected. I was thinking grilled charred pieces of zucchini. What we got was a foil packet that had zucchini and tomato steamed. It was still tasty. Just not expected. My husband and I came here for lunch as he was in the mood for pizza. So I went on Yelp to find the closest in the area. Now what was deceiving is the name on their sign is Bridgton House of Pizza. However once inside they had a sign on the table that said BHOP. Must be a local thing on how to find the place whatever. Once inside we ordered at the counter. We shared a 10 inch pizza with mushrooms, extra cheese and sausage. They call you when it is ready than you pay as well as self serve the soft drinks that are in a glass door refrigerator unit. They carry Pepsi products so we get a Diet Pepsi and a Root Beer. In my opinion they would get an extra star for having Coke products. I know they are more expensive however worth it to carry as they taste better. The pizza was slightly under cooked and the crust was still pure white underneath. The only redeeming quality was that it was served hot. The mushrooms were nice the kind you get in a jar. Would prefer New York style pizza. This was a step up from frozen supermarket pizza but not far from it. If I lived here I would save my money and go to Food City to get frozen and go home to make it myself. read more
