If I could ONLY rate Christine she'd be OVER THE TOP PAST 5 stars...and maybe TWO of the ladies in the back. I've been coming here for a couple years now and when the ORIGINAL receptionist (yedi) left so did the CARE for people in the front. From the Appointment Reminder Calls to the emails voicemails whatever they've STOPPED. Well no if you call and complain they'll send them. I had an appointment on at 1130a and started looking around seeing everyone AFTER me get called BEFORE me. Once I walked up I see my name is crossed off along with another person seeing the same doctors who came AFTER me I informed the lady I had an appointment and came before them. She then stated "they're getting blood work and you're next" as if My appointment had no standings. WHATS THE POINT OF AN APPOINTMENT!! Very bad customer service . Always an issue here . This place seems to be overbooked or something because I can never seem to be able to set an appointment until after 2 months . I have been brining my children here for 4 years now & I'm finally going to change their pediatrician because of their lack of care . I brought my son today for a physical and asked to them to sign a document for his school & im being told to come back in 3 days because ALL of the receptionists are busy to fill out a ONE page document that summarizes the physical that I set an appointment for over 6 months ago. This is ridiculous. I explained the urgency of the document being signed & im still being being told id have to wait who knows how many hours . This is out of hand . Do not recommend. There's other better pediatricians who have much more better communication and assistance . read more

The Dr. referred me to get a mammogram. I called two weeks later, and they told me they were waiting to hear back from LA Care. I called two weeks after that and another girl in the front desk told me they never sent out the request for a referral. I called a week after and was placed on hold. The front office would answer my call and automatically place me on hold. I never got an answer. I called LA Care and they never received a request. I changed Drs offices and finally got seen turns out I have a Stage 4 Mass in my breast. This front office needs to do better and stop playing with people lives. read more

It's terribly unfortunate they changed their staff at this office when the one they had worked efficiently. I completely didn't recognize one person on my last visit. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD STAFF?!!! Please note I have been going to this healthcare center since they first opened up over ten years ago, it's so VERY sad that they have let their staff go, not just one or two, but the whole office. I used to get reminded for my appointments, so if your mad at me Dr. Michelena PLEASE know it's because your new staff simply don't do their job. whether that be answer the phone and not be on hold forever or let alone bother to send a reminder via text or God forbid a phone call reminder. When I left a message because I forgot the time of my appointment I never received a call back, not once but twice did they fail. Now currently they never return any calls and the current hold time is over 10 minutes every time I call. The new staff are the absolute worst incompetent employees I have EVER experienced. I recently had an important matter where my medical records were requested, I found out they did nothing for 3 months after receiving 3 requests. I had been wondering what was taking so long, then when I called the office manager she unconsciously gave me the runaround for a week completely lying not once but three times until I had to go down there in person and only finally then that she finally did her job and faxed them in front of me over to the requested ( 3 months later may I remind you). Yet, please note when I spoke to her every single time for a total of three times earlier that week she told me they don't handle the medical records and referred me to call another office for my medical records. The first time the wrong number was given to me and then two times after that all I received was lies, smoke and mirrors. Finally from all the stress and aggravation from the runaround and the requested not receiving my medical records I finally just went down in person (Dr. Paternal you probably remember me calling you personally on your cell, when you joked about "not to call your cell that your wife would get mad". Note: this wasn't funny and I was not amused). So regrettably I'm sad to say that this office is no longer one I enjoy going to, hence the doctors have always been exceptional, it's ultimately the staff that are the customer service support lifeline that work with the patients and doctors. I will be looking for a new office even though this is down the street from where I live. If you're reading this Dr Paterno and Dr. Michelina I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. I've been in management my whole life and this office is no longer managed well or at all for that matter. So everyone that reads this review please save yourself the frustration when it comes to your health. I'll be looking for another office for my future health needs. It was great while it lasted. Perhaps I'll be able to find Dr. Burrows again, the best Doctor that I've ever had in my life and was solidly there 200% when I was alone dealing with my mother whom had the Alzheimer's Disease and without her I would never had survived as Dr. Burrows had a major hand in helping/assisiting me every step including Hospice in my home. This is the worst place to go if you want quality care, It is adjacent to their mental health services and drug rehab Which have priority over service! The Staff is unprofessional and very rude! Medical care is not quality care! I will never go back nor refer anyone to them. read more

I had an appointment for 11:30am. I showed up at 11:30 and the lady at the front desk informs me that my appointment has been rescheduled. I ask her why and she said she did not know, I ask her when was it rescheduled to and she says I don't know. wtf! Such a waste of time. They could have atleast called to let me know that my appointment was moved. They are very inconsiderate of others' time. read more

Worst clinic ever!!!!! The longest wait!! I've been here since 10:23am and my appointment was at 10:30am its now 12:20pm! That's ridiculous!! 3 people have complained already that they been here for an hour and haven't been seen! Keep in mind I'm a very patient person but I'm only here to get a vaccine nothing else!! Every time I come here I am NEVER seen on time! You make an appointment and they won't see you until at least an hour later! People have lives and things to do! It's unacceptable. Why make my appointment at a certain time, if you can't see me until an hour and a half later? Why not make the appt for the actual time you will be seen? I'm beyond angry at this point. I'd strongly recogmend this community feeling clinic. (It reminds of the ole school personal clinics.. but cleaner. lol) I took my son and nephew here and I loved the personal care. They not only answered my question about their breathing and physical issues, another doctor took us into a room and explained things in even more detail.. until we completely understood what was happening. And wanted us to not worry- they were right about exactly what happen. And, with my nephew having Sickle Cell, I'm careful who treats my entire family or even give us advice on any medical topic. But I was happy with BHS. It reminded me of having a local doctor my mom took us to that knew us personally and she could trust... remember those day?! lol. Tried to make an appointment today for my husband that just had a possible stroke and needs a PCP. Yetti told me that I cannot do that. He has to call himself or I would have to sign a release in order to do that? Is this Cedar Sinai or any other prestigious Doctors office? Yep, didn't think so. Glad She blocked me from going. I would have to agree with the first reviewer, Mikko. From the very first visit, I was impressed with the facility. I noticed it when I drove by one day. Just from the exterior appearance I got a feeling about it and my hunch was right on. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The facility is shiny and clean. The nurse practitioner, Ms Armstrong is always available to answer any questions and I like that I can always schedule an appointment with her as it allows for more continuity. Although I am no longer living in the South Bay area, I am going to keep BHS as my primary care facility. Thank you BHS for the great service and care. read more
