Came here for a girls night and the food did not disappoint! First of all, the place itself is cute with lots of greenery which makes the restaurant feel very warm. Service was fast and efficient as well. The star of the show was the delicious wood fire pizza! Crispy on the edges but nice and soft in the middle, the perfect bite! We also enjoyed the Caesar salad and truffle fries which were great apps. Really enjoyed the food here, it is a hidden gem!

Server was so sweet and the vibes of the place is a little fancy yet chill at the same time. I had the hibiscus mocktail and it was soooo nice on a hot day! The pasta dishes were also great but not the best I've had. The truffle fries are really good though.

The must tries are the tuna tartare and the Niçoise salad. While other dishes were good, the tuna here is top notch. Perfect spot to chill and grab some drinks before heading over to the movie theater next door.

Warm and comfortable atmosphere. Lots of plants. Booths and tables. Pizza's are wood fired and served as soon as they are ready. So they can be enjoyed at their best. Very good! Caesar salad was full of flavor. Really good.

Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food was good, enjoyable but nothing that uniquely distinguished it as notable for me. I had the fusilli with almond-pistachio pesto, and it was good, but I'd compare it to a home-cooked meal. The truffle fries had great aromatic truffle, but not a lot of truffle flavor in the fires themselves, some salt could have brought some of the flavor out a little more, but overall needed more truffle. People I went with had the lobster ravioli and Meet Me at Bianca woodfire pizza, and they also remarked that it was good but nothing standout. The service was good, about average. Overall ambiance was lovely though, I loved the feel, the light and airy atmosphere with great color scheme. Felt neat and clean, yet also comfortable cozy. Casual atmosphere, more parking in the back.

Love the decor and server was super kind. Lobster ravioli was good but not great. Could have more flavor and quantity of ravioli and lobster for the price. There was more lobster vs cheese in the ravioli but could use some work flavor wise overall including the sauce. The mocktail was delicious and had the prettiest flower in it. Server was super kind and attentive.

Their hummus with short rib and pita was the best hummus appetizer I've ever had. Absolutely phenomenal. The vibes here are great. Salads delicious.

If you're hanging at The Street in Chestnut Hill- Bianca is the way to go! This area keeps sprouting up fancy little boutique shops/restos/cafes and also has its share of nice bigger chains. At Bianca, I like the casual yet sleek atmosphere, big open bar, and friendly open dining space with bright colors. The menu is an enticing mix of light to rich options for apps & mains along with a Bar Bites menu and separate Roman-style pizza slice shop "Mr Romi Cups". Cocktails have been great, balanced/fresh- they have a fun citrus press right at the bar so you see the fresh limes ‍ gettin squeezed right before your eyes! I have enjoyed all the dishes I've tried and am looking forward to sampling some more of their wood-fired items including the pizza which looks great, chicken, and Burger. The bar bites/apps, pastas, salad and sides have been solid so far and the warm chocolate chip cookie is amazing. I'd say it's the kind of spot you can come for a date, with friends/family, or alone and bring your computer during non-peak hours. Check it out!

Nice place to hangout but alright food! The aesthetic is very nice and vibrant with the plants and layout of the restaurant. It feels like you're either at a beach bar or a summer bar. The food was a bit overpriced but it was tasty. The burger was good. Great seasoning and juiciness. The truffle friends was tasty but it was very oily. The mushroom pizza was very light. I wish there was a bit more flavoring to it. Possibly salt or more sauce/cheese in the pizza. The staff here were amazing. I think this place has potential to improve the next time I stop by!

Food was good! Apart from sushi , we order tuna, and you can tell it was leftovers from Saturday night bc it was dark and old and the rice was overcook, burger order medium rare... temperature was medium well, mushrooms pizza good! Breakfast burrito excellent, ahhh, one more thing the coffee!! It's very good. Service is average... nbd. Ambiance the best for Saturday morning it was perfect, and special the music! Will I come back? Yes just don't order sushi

Very friendly Resturant with lots of choices. The shashuka was very good but the sour dough bread to dip in the sauce was amazing. Such a cute area to go shopping in and take a rest at this tasty spot. The broccolini was not over cooked and so tasty. The salmon in the Ceasar salad was nice and moist. Great choice.

Brunch menu is limited and the food is just okay. Because of the location it's on the pricier side, probably wouldn't go back for brunch.

Post-COVID, life looks a little different. I've changed jobs and moved to another town, so it's no longer the easy drop-in it once was. Still, I make a point to come back at least every few months. What hasn't changed is the consistency. This remains one of the most reliably excellent restaurants in the Boston area, and still one of my all-time top five--while others that once held that spot haven't quite held up. One thing has changed, though: the Ghost of Mary. Scotty, the former bar manager, created what's still my favorite cocktail of all time. When he left, the drink left with him (by mutual agreement), and while he generously shared the recipe with me, I've never quite managed to recreate it at home. It was clearly meant to be made by the expert. That said, Sycamore hasn't missed a beat. The space is still as comfortable and quirky as ever, the food remains consistently excellent, and the current bar program is in very capable hands. The cocktails are thoughtful and well-executed--just maybe don't remind me about the one I'm missing

They have some great places to shop and dine and Sycamore is one of them. We have been here multiple times and everytime is better than the last. From the Managers greeting to the service, and atomosphere, Sycamore sure knows how to make customers feel seen and heard and their bellies happy :) We came here after attending a wine tasting not far from here and were able to grab some bar seats. They have a great cocktail and wine list; I always have a hard time choosing just one. I went with a vodka drink called Nothing Rhymes Orange and my husband had a beer. Since we were not that hungry he ordered the Chorizo Croquettas and I had my favorite salad in the world (not kidding) their Kale Salad. Let me just tell you 1. if you don't like kale, you will love this salad. Just the way they make it and the flavors/crunch will make your mouth water 2. you will eat the whole thing. 3. trust me. If there is one app that you need to order its the chorizo croquettas, OMG. They are like little small drops of heaven and there are only 3 so if you plan to share I would recommend ordering more than just one. For dessert, we ordered an Espresso Martini. The only thing that was missing is the coffee beans but still good. Thanks Sycamore for another fabulous dinner and evening. Thanks Kale Salad for being the best ever. I know I will be back for another one sometime soon. Cheers~

We were able to snag a reservation on a Saturday night sitting on the patio. I saw a few reviews about noise, but sitting outside was perfect both for temperature and ambiance. Tables were a little close but everyone was respectful. All of the food was good but some didn't fit our palettes. Cost was high which was to be expected for a higher end meal but can be disappointing due to the portion sizes. Our waitress recommended 2-3 dishes per person, keeping in mind that the snacks are smaller sizes. Here were our final rankings: 1. Potato rosti - can't go wrong with a crispy potato. The clam dip kept it lighter. 2. Corn custard - super smooth and sweet. Had all the textures and flavors 3. Bok choy - really great! Could probably figure out a way to make at home. 4. Focaccia - eggplant was a great touch but pretty standard focaccia 5. Tagliatelle - felt like a pasta dish I could make at home. Wasn't anything stand out but still good! 6. Tuna carpaccio - the only dish we didn't get a photo of. The flavors were balanced really well; however there were so many olives which is what lost it for us. Not enough tuna either given the higher price.

He spent all his time catering to group at the end of the bar. I had to get up and ask the waitress to check on my cheeseburger. The bartender just did not care. We walked into a spacious, contemporary space with a large bar and plenty of seating, the kind of place that works equally well for watching a game with friends or a relaxed dinner. The interior had a comfortable, polished energy that struck a balance between lively and approachable, and the extensive beer and whiskey selection added to the inviting atmosphere. The menu goes beyond typical bar food with a mix of elevated comfort dishes, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and seasonal entrées. We ordered a few items and found the Chilean sea bass standing out, paired with a flavorful sauce that complemented the fish without overpowering it. The lamb with gnocchi was another popular choice, offering a hearty and well-balanced dish with tender meat and pillowy gnocchi that absorbed the rich sauce. The burgers were cooked to order and made a reliable option for something more casual, arriving juicy and well assembled. For drinks and appetizers, the calamari, burrata, and flatbreads were good options to share, each coming out fresh and well seasoned. The bar program was another highlight, with a wide selection of craft beers, whiskey, and classic cocktails that were well prepared and paired naturally with the food. Service was friendly and welcoming, with staff happy to make recommendations and accommodate different group sizes. While some visits could experience slower service during busy periods, the overall experience tended to be attentive, and the team worked to create a comfortable atmosphere for both families and larger groups. The pacing of the meal stayed steady, and the food came out without much delay. Parking is available in a small lot, though it could fill up during peak dining hours, and the restaurant's location near shopping on Needham Street made it a convenient stop before or after running errands. Overall, District 118 Kitchen & Bar is a solid choice for anyone looking for elevated pub fare in a relaxed setting. The combination of quality food, a strong drink selection, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it equally enjoyable for a casual lunch, dinner with family, or an evening out with friends.
