I came here for the first time in years this past Friday with friends and had such a lovely time. While waiting for our movie to start next door, I decided to quickly reserve a table for us to have a late dinner afterward. I had made the reservation for 9:15. The movie ended early (by 9) and I turned on my phone to find 4 missed calls from them...oops! They were so nice, calling to make sure I knew the kitchen would close at 9:30. How nice of them to want us to know it would be a tight window. The restaurants decor is gorgeous. Lots of greenery, fun patterns, and artwork. The waitress was so kind and got our drink and food in asap. My friend and I split the vodka pie with a side of ranch to dip the crust (greatest menu item EVER by the way). It was the perfect amount for two. The pizza crust was textbook. Soooo good and even better dipped in ranch. I was skeptical of the red peppers and onions on it but it was such a delicious combination. I will be back for more! read more

**1 Star - An Unacceptable Experience from Start to Finish** We chose Bianca's Woodfire & Grill to host our engagement lunch because we wanted our families to enjoy a special celebration together. Instead, it became one of the most stressful parts of our engagement. Before signing our contract, communication was prompt albeit short/abrupt. The moment they received our deposit, communication became even worse. Getting in touch with anyone became incredibly frustrating. We sent multiple emails, used their online communication portal, and made repeated phone calls simply to confirm our final guest count and discuss an extremely important food allergy. My niece has a documented **anaphylactic sesame allergy**. We repeatedly communicated this to the restaurant, and our contract explicitly states: *"Allergies: please ensure that no tree nuts or sesame are used in any of the dishes, sauces, or ingredients. Culinary team to ensure no cc cross contamination is involved during preparations."* After multiple emails and phone calls--and after being passed among 3 different Bianca event coordinators -- we were finally able to speak with someone who assured us the allergy information had been noted. On the day of our event, no manager greeted us or checked in with us at any point. We were assigned a server who told us she had never handled a party of our size before. During service, drinks were spilled on our guests. The most alarming failure, however, was the food itself. Both the salad and the karaage were served with **visible sesame seeds**, despite our repeated conversations and the written allergy accommodation in our contract. We personally saw the sesame seeds on the food and took photographs documenting them. This was not a misunderstanding or a hidden ingredient--it was plainly visible on dishes served to our party. When you're dealing with an anaphylactic allergy, this is not a minor oversight. It is a potentially life-threatening mistake. After the event, we contacted Bianca's to make them aware of this serious error and to express how disappointed we were. Once again, we received no response. No apology. No acknowledgment. No explanation. Nothing. Then, nearly a month later, the first communication we received from them was a **$400 bill**. For anyone wondering whether this account is accurate, we have retained documentation of everything: photographs showing the sesame seeds on the dishes that were served, our signed contract containing the allergy accommodation quoted above, and multiple email correspondences requesting confirmation before and after the event that went unanswered. The lack of professionalism, communication, accountability, and attention to a documented life-threatening allergy is deeply disappointing. Special events require trust. We trusted Bianca's with our engagement celebration and with the safety of our guests. They failed on both counts. I sincerely hope no other family has to experience what we did. I had never been to Bianca and it looks like a great place to grab a bite or a drink, whether you're inside or outside. The outdoor patio seems like a fabulous spot to grab something to eat in the warmer months. This review is for their takeout. My friend and I wanted to order a Margherita pizza for pickup, and I tried calling their restaurant, only to be walked through different automated phone options-- we were instructed by the automated message to place any takeout orders online from their website. ?? That's soo wild. We couldn't even call in an order? The only option was "if there was an issue with a previous order that's already been placed" would you hit number 2 to get connected to someone. So we ordered online, sure thing no biggie. They give you an estimated wait time and that's it. There's really no updates other than going off the window it gives. Our window was 40-45 mins for one pizza. We were like okay let's walk around The Street until it's time to grab our pizza. Still no updates like "Your order is ready! Come by now". When we picked up our pizza after waiting the 40 minutes, it was as if it's been sitting out for half hour. The ingredients had dried up and it wasn't hot. Not my go-to pizza spot, and I'm sure that pizza was ready before the 40 minutes, if only we had known it would've been more fresh. I'd still like to explore their menu! read more

Came here for a girls night and the food did not disappoint! First of all, the place itself is cute with lots of greenery which makes the restaurant feel very warm. Service was fast and efficient as well. The star of the show was the delicious wood fire pizza! Crispy on the edges but nice and soft in the middle, the perfect bite! Beautiful ambiance for a casual work dinner. The decor inside is fun, bright and good for conversation. They have two entrances so your party might arrive on the other side but if you meet at the bar... win! There's a variety of food and a good selection of cocktails and drinks. Salad nicoise was solid and the tuna tartare was lovely. Service was a bit slow but friendly and since we weren't in a hurry it was ok. Good for groups and there's also patio seating in the front. Disappointing menu for lunch and our salad choices were sub par. The pizza looked pretty good at the next table. Salads contained too many inedible pieces of lettuce, rough parts of the core that you would trim off at home. If you're hanging at The Street in Chestnut Hill- Bianca is the way to go! This area keeps sprouting up fancy little boutique shops/restos/cafes and also has its share of nice bigger chains. At Bianca, I like the casual yet sleek atmosphere, big open bar, and friendly open dining space with bright colors. The menu is an enticing mix of light to rich options for apps & mains along with a Bar Bites menu and separate Roman-style pizza slice shop "Mr Romi Cups". Cocktails have been great, balanced/fresh- they have a fun citrus press right at the bar so you see the fresh limes ‍ gettin squeezed right before your eyes! I have enjoyed all the dishes I've tried and am looking forward to sampling some more of their wood-fired items including the pizza which looks great, chicken, and Burger. The bar bites/apps, pastas, salad and sides have been solid so far and the warm chocolate chip cookie is amazing. My husband and I went to Bianca for brunch today, sat outside and we were looking forward to a new and great experience for brunch. There is a decent menu for both brunch and regular meals. I ordered a Bloody Mary for $14 and it came out in a juice glass. It was very peppery and had minimal alcohol. My husband ordered coffee and was told by our waiter that they were making a new pot and it would take about five minutes. It took about 15, filled half way, lukewarm at best, and did not have a good taste to it. We both ordered breakfast burritos one with bacon and one with chicken sausage. 45 minutes later, we still hadn't received our meals and we asked our waiter for the check. For someone who is driving an hour away to try a new place, this was an extreme disappointment and we should have gone elsewhere from the start! No wonder why they have a 3.6 rating. People who came after us also were waiting long periods of time to get their drinks and meals. You see a lot in 45 minutes of waiting! read more

The food was a bit overpriced but it was tasty. The burger was good. Great seasoning and juiciness. The truffle friends was tasty but it was very oily. The mushroom pizza was very light. I wish there was a bit more flavoring to it. Possibly salt or more sauce/cheese in the pizza. The staff here were amazing. First, our server had a server in training who was making a bunch of mistakes and kept asking all our questions two three times which really was sad and I kind of felt sorry for him. He spilled my cocktail on the table serving at across the table instead of by my side. The server kept taking away our forks and never checking up on how we were doing as a table. We had to go over to another table to borrow a fork because my friend was eating with a knife. I also asked another server for a fork because our server was nowhere to be found. Cocktails: I really loved my hibiscus mocktail and then I had an a cocktail. They do a good job here. Food wise, the mushroom pizza was tasty good. The Tuna Tartare was ok... nothing great... Could be thicker and maybe add a more balanced flavor like sesame oil. I had better. Brussel sprouts were overdone and truffle fries were decent for commercial fries. I ordered the smoked cod and it was dissapointing. It was salty and I couldn't taste the leeks. The presentation was nice though. My friends ordered their burger and pasta and sushi...all small and simple. They were not wowed by it. Not that impressive in the plating either. We all agreed that if we stuck to the cocktails and the pizzas it would have been totally great I will say that the cookie and the sorbet were good. Had a reservation for 3 people on Friday night before a movie. We arrived at 5:30pm for our 530pm reservation, weren't greeted until 5 minutes later while the staff were trying to sort something out. They finally sat us about 5:40pm. We were put at a two person high top in the bar area with an extra chair pulled over. In my opinion, if you have a reservation you should be sat at a table that has the appropriate number of seats. Our drink order wasn't taken until 6:05pm. I then noticed our server was behind the bar making our drinks. While our server was nice and I can understand that maybe they were short staffed, however the table next to us, who was sat after us, already had drinks and an app before we even placed our drink order. It was 6:15 when we got our drinks and asked to put our food in so we wouldn't be late to our 7pm movie. Drinks were good. Our food was okay. I got the burger and asked to add lettuce and tomato since it only came with pickles and onions (I asked for no onions). I never got the lettuce and tomato but when we go our bill I was charged $2 to add lettuce/tomato. Unfortunately, we were late for our 7pm movie and missed the first few minutes, despite having only had one drink and only entrees (no apps). A solid "it was fine". Very clean and modern, reasonably spacious. It's considered "kid friendly" but really the vibe is more upscale food for adults. Certainly it's no Cracker Barrel or Olive Garden sort of family oriented. Anyway, on to the food and service. The service was polite and quick - no complaints there at all. The food was ... a mix. Absolutely nothing bad but not much that was "wow" either. We tried the cauliflower and the hummus apps. The hummus was the best of the two, very smoky and smooth hummus with a nice quality tahini. The pita came as an inflated football shape - neat. The cauliflower had a lot of smoke to it. It was tasty but also a bit dry. Main courses. The wild mushroom pasta sounded very enticing but ended up being very blah. I added salt to try and touch it up slightly but no - just a "fine" but uninteresting mushroom bolognese. The pizza tasted good but it was quite floppy from oil so definitely knife and fork action required. The beet salad was good - not over dressed and no overly sweet. The mushroom sandwich au jus dip was, again, kind of bland. The kid's pizza brought back massive memories of "pizza" from my 3rd grade cafeteria. Nice for nostalgia, and maybe nice for kids, but not something an adult would want to finish for their kids. Overall the yelp rating of 3.5 is accurate and so truncating it to 3 seems reasonable. Final thoughts: It's in a large mall so there's tons of parking and if your wife like Blue Mercury - win! There's one a few doors down. read more
