At Dreams beauty, they use their hands to extract which is far less plain than at other places where they would use the extraction tool IMO. They offer facial hair threading and clean up of the brows during the facial and also a shoulder massage! I felt so refreshed afterwards. I don't trust anyone else with my lashes besides La Boutique! I've tried 4 other location and…read morehaven't changed since. These are pain free and custom to my eye shape and event. The team is super fast and I'm in and out less than an hour. One place I went to pinched, another I was allergic to something, and then another they looked Great but felt so heavy it was uncomfortable. With the lashes from la boutique I don't feel weird after and have a glamorous- wide eyed- refreshed look that makes me not have to buy eyeliner. I work at home and there is no way I'm putting on eye liner before a work call haha these lashes are a game changer! This is my first time having my eyebrows tinted and wow it makes a big difference. I'm 40 and losing hairs and dare I say have some greys and this hid it! Now I don't need to find my make up and again have a fresh face in the am without makeup! I have had the spray tan before just not today because I have it booked in August. I have two more booked as well bc it looks like good! The technology and process has vastly improved since the 2000s and having a spa do it for you is way more fun and rewarding! I was treated like a vip super model and even felt comfortable to go nude (I'm plus size) and literally had no tan lines! I showered each day and it lasted about 10 days . Also I used a towel to dry off and probably should've been more gentle as the advised but old habits are hard to break haha. Natural color and they are so great at asking you the questions to get what you want! You can tell this is managed by a spa by the level do service and cleanliness. No matter what service you are treated like a vip and offered water and weighted blanket and true professionalism throughout the appt. Staff guides you through the appt "okay now I am going to... would you like x... are you comfortable" there are just a few examples that really make you feel comfortable. Oh did I mention the spa music! That alone provides relaxation after a busy work day. Wow what a great new location! I found easy parking on Chaplin and Primrose and it was great because after my appointment I treated myself to a coffee (warning lots of fun near this location: eateries, hair salon, shopping and more - I love it bc I can get a pick me up and some new lipgloss after having my lashes glamorized). It's nice bc it's further away from the train station so you can't hear train yet it's located directly on Burlingame ave. Also it's near the start of the avenue so parking is easier (I love parking on side streets less pressure as folks drive by). Impressed as always and will / have recommended to others. My appointment started at 3:00 PM, but the facial was finished around 3:50 PM. I asked my esthetician, Serena, why the service ended so early because I was expecting the full 90-minute experience. I was told that the service is based on what your skin needs rather than the scheduled time, and that I did not require many extractions. While I understand that every facial should be customized to the client's skin and that I did receive the LED light treatment, I was disappointed that the service ended after about 50 minutes when I had booked and paid for a facial advertised as 1 hour and 30 minutes. I did not receive a mask, and the facial massage felt extremely minimal. In my experience at other spas, when extractions or corrective treatments are not needed, the esthetician typically uses that time for a longer facial massage, additional mask time, scalp massage, hand and arm massage, neck and shoulder massage, or other relaxing treatments so that the appointment still feels complete and the client leaves feeling cared for and pampered. Instead, I left feeling as though I received less because I take good care of my skin. What was most frustrating was paying the full $140 price, plus a 15% tip, while receiving a significantly shortened service. Had I known that the appointment could be reduced by nearly 40 minutes depending on my skin condition, I would have appreciated that being clearly communicated before booking. Advice: If you have acne, congestion, or significant extraction needs, this service may be a good value for you. However, if you maintain your skin regularly and are looking for a relaxing 90-minute facial, self-care experience, or glow-up refresh, I would strongly recommend asking exactly what is included and how long your treatment is likely to last before booking or just go somewhere else. I left feeling disappointed, misled by the advertised appointment length, and feeling that I did not receive the full experience that was represented for the price.
