Found my new facial place! I came here for a hydration facial and my esthetician Jessica did a wonderful job. I can tell she has many years of experience. One thing that I look for in a facial place is on how they do their extractions. At Dreams beauty, they use their hands to extract which is far less plain than at other places where they would use the extraction tool IMO. They offer facial hair threading and clean up of the brows during the facial and also a shoulder massage! I felt so refreshed afterwards. I didn't see many reviews for this salon for lash perm so I wanted to give my experience! I just went today for my first ever lash perm and I am extremely happy!! First off, the salon itself is clean and relaxing. Each private room is very spacious. The bed was comfortable and I was even able to doze for a little bit during my appointment. She was so gentle and efficient with my lash lift and obviously knew what she was doing. My lashes look amazing-- like I have extensions on!!!! Before I even made my appointment she asked about my lash history and health. She obviously cares about doing a good job.I will definitely be back!!!! read more

Must upkeep and treat yourself when it comes to being a woman! Pamper time during the facial sessions because they especially do threading and massage as a finishing touch! The essence of what they use smells lovely! I keep forgetting to ask what essential oils and products they use! It's so relaxing! I don't see a difference of face clarity after so many months, though. I'm sure it helps, nonetheless. They customize the methods used based on your skin and requests. Every now and then, I like to give my lashes a little more than "mascara love". And I've passed Dreams Beauty plenty of times, but I never really looked into their services. But I'm glad they showed up in my search when I was looking for lash services close to home. Mona was thorough, gentle AND quick! I have long lashes, but they lack volume, so we agreed on a medium-long D-curl volume set that I absolutely adore (and doesn't make my wallet cry, lol). I already made my fill appointment, so it'll be interesting to see how my lashes hold up til then! P.S. Update: I went back here two and a half years later hoping things may be different. Unfortunately, the hard sell just ruins it for me personally, and I won't be back. Maybe they only treat the Groupon clients this way? Last time I came here, I did The microdermabrasion facial. The lady spent the whole time telling me my skin was dry and tried to get me to spend an additional $60 on the hydration option. This time, I purchased the oxygen hydration facial and guess what.......... she told me now my skin was "dirty" (mind you, I shower twice a day and went after a shower with no makeup) and tried to upsell me to a $70 microdermabrasion add on. Using shaming as a tactic? Yikes. So basically, not only is the tactic flat out rude, they make up reasons you need the add on, even if it means hurling insults. Last time I was polite to the point of leaving in a bad mood by not stopping the hard sell, so I told her this time "I'm not interested, please don't ask again, i'm not budging". Her response? "Oh, is money an issue for you?" I told her no, and her attitude was and I just wanted to enjoy 90 minutes without a sales pitch. She proceeded to ask 4 more times and even knocked $20 off the microdermabrasion price. so like last review, my facial was yet again ruined by sales pitches and now shaming of my skin and perceived financial status. For those of you considering going: Either set boundaries earlier on and more forceful than I did and have thick skin. The hustle is real here and I'm just not in the mood for it. I'll pay full price elsewhere where you get treated with dignity and a relaxing environment Mona, thanks for responding, but no phone call attempt to smooth things over will ever get me to step foot in there again. I bought a Groupon for a 90 mins. microdermabrasion. Place is nice and clean. Staff is friendly. Warning: During the treatment, I was asked if I wanted a vitamin treatment. I didn't know it was going to cost an additional $55. Fortunately, it came with a shoulder, arm and hand massage. Overall, I was happy with my visit. Mona is awesome! This is my first time trying out eyelash extensions, so I wasn't sure how the process worked. I believe Mona is the only one who does extensions here. She is very helpful and I appreciate the fact that she gives her opinions in regards to length. I like to ask lots of questions, so I also loved that she didn't seem bothered by them at all. The whole process took about 1 hour, and you have to keep your eyes closed the entire time and for a couple of minutes after she is finished. When I first came in, I went with a more natural/classic look to see how it would go, as well as how I would do with the aftercare. I ended up loving them! I came in a week and a half later to get a fill/volume because it was my birthday that week. I was surprised how great they looked with volume! The first time I came in, I actually felt some burning in my eyes during the process I guess from the glue, but when I came back for a fill, I didn't feel any burning, which is great. After a trial three months ago, I bought a package for the hydration facial. The first time I visited, I hardly noticed the entrance and was a bit thrown off but after my facial, I was very happy with the cleanliness, service, procedure, and result. The facial includes steaming, extractions, face and shoulder massage, eyebrow and lip threading, and a mask. I have relatively good skin and I get this done about once every other week. My favorite part is the massage and threading. A lot of places don't provide this little extra service but the massage really helps me relax and the threading means that I don't have to go to another place. read more

The facial would have been more enjoyable if the person doing my facial wasn't trying to upsell me on products. If you're going to try to upsell do that before the facial not during. Also the pressure was a little too hard and I felt that I sat there too long with the face mask probably took about 15 minutes away from my facial time. I don't know what everyone else is talking about but I certainly did not get a shoulder back and Decollette massage. Pretty happy with this $48 lash perm/lash lift by Mona! Took less than 45 mins, low maintenance just like how I like it. Only need to come back every two months and I can wash my face and do whatever I want without having to worry about my lashes falling off or maintaining them. I'll admit I only came in because M&M Threading (a few stores over) was closed on this particular day. It was right before the holidays and I just wanted my brows cleaned up before all the holiday parties started. I walked in without an appointment and was brought to a private room. I'm not sure what her name was, but she looked at my brows and said something like "Are you sure you really want to pay for this? Your brows are fine, you don't need to do anything to them." I asked her to clean up the edges a bit and trim because apparently I am super picky about my eyebrows (anyone else out there feel me?). The threading was pretty painless here. She did a great job cleaning them up and only charged partially for the service because she didn't feel like she really did anything. I have had my eye lash extensions through two vacations of humid weather and still have many lashes after two weeks. The woman who did my lashes was very skilled at removing my last set without ripping out my existing lashes,which has been a problem with many other places I've gone to. I got the mink volume lashes and am very happy with the results. She was very skilled, knowledgeable, and did it relatively faster than many other places I've been to! It is located in El Camino Real which is easy to park. The owner Mona and her staff would greet you warmly when you arrive. They look young but are very knowledgeable that they would patiently explain to you what skintype you are and what type of treatment you need. The environment is comfortable because everything is clean and new. The music is relaxing. The staff who did my aesthetic was skillful and i really like the result of my face that it glows!! Your natural lashes must comply for the lashes to work. I went in very excited to get a full set of lashes. As soon as Mona saw me she said my lashes were very curly and she was not going to put any on the ends. I was immediately dissapointed but I trusted her and went thru with it. I got the 13mm length. She took an hour to put them on. When I open my eyes I only had lashes in the middle. I do believe my right eye had more lashes than my left. Mona told me that because my lashes are curly at the ends that was the best she could do. I left very dissapointed. They must be kept away from water at least 8 hours after application. I got mines done on a Friday. By the following Wednesday I only had about 3 lashes on my left eye. Everyone that saw me asked why didn't I have lashes on the ends. I'm not going back. I thought about going back to get my left eye fixed but it's not worth the trouble to only get lashes in the middle. I'm embarrased to have people look at my eyes with my 3 lashes on the left and about 7 on the right. If you have straight lashes then go for it. Get them they look great. It didn't work for me. Very dissapointing. Do call ahead and schedule an appointment. Business is in a small shopping center and there's parking. Good luck! read more

Mona does such a great job with my facials, she does extractions, threads my eyebrows and lips, and also gives a upper body massage while I have a mask on. She is very professional and never pushes to sell any products. I always purchase a package so I don't have to worry about bringing my wallet (except cash for tip). Came here today for a microdermabrasion, and like everyone else, I ended up adding a hydration facial. Irene helped me with the steaming, extractions, masks, face and shoulder massage ... she even asked if I wanted eyebrow and lip threading which was nice (I passed but now I should have just said yes!). It was a very relaxing facial + massage. My skin really looked great afterwards! I felt like there was more LIFE to it, haha. I think their services are a bit expensive, or maybe their prices are market rates and I'm just out of it. After much research, I decided to come to dreams to get my eyelashes done for my very first time. Usually eyelashes are charged $150+, so finding out that this place has a $95 first time client deal was a huge plus for me. The whole process took 50 minutes. They were very accommodating to take me in the same day I called for eyelash extensions. Mona was super chill and upfront about what you're going to pay so there will be no surprises. There was a consultation before she got started. She recommended me to go natural but I wanted it to look more dramatic so she chose out a longer lash length for me. When she finished on one eye, she told me since I don't have many natural lash hairs, it doesn't look as I described how I wanted it to be. She told me she would add more lashes to add more volume but with an extra $35. I agreed and I'm liking how it looks now. They have a first time special that was $75 which is what they charged me but they raised it to $90. The price for a full set after that is $135 which is still not a bad price. read more

I purchased the 90-minute oxygen facial from Groupon and made my appointment via phone. I called on a Thursday and got an appointment for Saturday morning -- so pretty easy to get in, which was nice. When you arrive, you will need to fill out some paperwork and then they escort you to your room. Note that the rooms are separated by curtains, so you can hear everything... I worked with Alice, and she was very friendly and professional. As I've seen in other reviews -- note that they will try to up-sell you for sure but at a discount. They offered I add microdermabrasion for an extra $50, and I did because I know I don't exfoliate enough. However, they will also try to sell you a 10 session package - I've seen a lot of people complaining about that, I mean it's a business, if you don't want it - just say no. Overall, I had a good experience and my face was crazy soft afterwards. However, I did break out a little afterwards...not sure if it's because everything is coming out or your skin is a little traumatized. My skin looked fully healed and glowy probably about 4 or 5 days later. I will return and would recommend using the Groupon to try them out. read more

Heading to another specialist today at 4PM. Now three doctors who have confirmed that the injuries dreams beauty center caused me have created a very serious medical condition. I also got an MRI last week. It's terrifying. None of the doctors I have met with seem to have any suggestions regarding a cure. I'm just praying that it doesn't last for the rest of my life. When I chew food, the arteries that they broke on the side of my face swell up to three times their size. It makes me look so strange. I'm also very scared that it could lead to a stroke, or other serious conditions. Please pray for me. read more

I wish I checked the yelp reviews before purchasing a Groupon for a facial. It seems like they're amazing at lash extensions but definitely fell short with the facial I received. She spent the majority of the time we had on VERY PAINFUL extractions and a shoulder massage that had me sore the next day. The oxygen part of the facial just felt like cold air blasting on my face and didn't do anything to actually improve my skin or the quality of the facial. Also I didn't like how I was made to get under blankets because the building was so cold. They don't have a sheet separating you from the blanket so it doesn't seem sanitary. Very pushy with making extra sales. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Still on the quest for a good facial in the area! read more

Really good value, the facials are never rushed, the place is very tranquil and clean. Parking is easy compared to SF, so I don't mind driving to San Bruno.
